As with all of our reviews, the not so good bits
Yes there is a warning on the noise but you have to experience it to believe it. The helicopters in and out during the day make some racket. In addition to this there is I suspect several units that we suspect that were not touring units but a little more semi permanent and going out in their transits early morning which woke mr grumpy up most mornings. We spoke with the caravan club regarding the site and they said they do have occasionally 21 night workers that stay then move to another site for 21 nights and back so on and so forth.
Yes the facilities could do with a make over but don't let worry you, they are fine
WARNING: Make sure you take the caravan club directions and not your sat navs. You have been warned
Pitches are rock hard and I mean 12 very bent into the scrap bin pegs. Extremley hard
So onto the best bits
Location for travelling into london is good, about 40 min drive to Hyde Park in the rush hour isnt bad
The wardens were friendly and welcoming
Decent disabled facilities as well
Information is well stocked out
Veg prep and washing up area is in the main building which is good, warm and covered up
Site is tight for big units but we managed, most are 7. 5 or 8m pitches with about 3 that are bigger, its car across the front of unit if erecting an awning (just bring some C4 to get your pegs in)
Overall a nice enough place, very good if you work in or around the area. It lacked the caravan club site feel you know that smell of fryers / grills doing the morning bacon and needs a boost to make it more friendly in that manner but its almost fully booked every week and that says a lot about the place. Overall not bad
So the big question would we return? Split decision in this house.

I stayed at this site for 19 nights and really didn't want to leave! I was very lucky with amazing early-spring weather, which helped.
The site is level with large pitches, and not a speck of mud to be seen. The most noise came from helicopters, but the GA aircraft were no bother. At night, it's absolutely silent!
It's an easy cycle (about 1.5 miles) to the train station, but it's a steep uphill on the way back. I've seen Sainsbury's mentioned in other reviews, but I prefer Tesco, and the nearest is about 4 miles away in Gerrard's Cross.
The only negative thing I have to say about Wyatt's Covert is the toilet block - it's in serious need of updating, and worst of all, the toilets seem to stir, rather than flush, which can be unpleasant, to say the least. That being said, the wardens did a great job of keeping it clean and tidy.
In spite of the rubbish toilets, I loved this site primarily because of the long-distance walking opportunities it offers. You can walk out and within 10 minutes find yourself on beautiful Bucks farmland footpaths, or have a short stroll through the Nature Preserve, or, best of all, an easy 25-minute walk brings you to the Grand Union Canal. The canal is perfect for fantastic walking, and if the mood takes you, you could walk all the way to London or Manchester.
As a child-free caravanner, the fact that there's not a playground or play area is a big plus in my book, because it's less likely that there will be kids running around the site.
Would I stay here again? Absolutely. I've already got my next stay booked!

We visited this site in July and found it to be very well laid out and clean, the toilets were spotless and the wardens very helpful. It is close to an airfield so there are planes constantly flying over during the day but this didn't really bother us and they do warn you in their details. Denham country park is just a few minutes walk away so anyone with a dog would have somewhere to exercise them.
We found lots of places to visit round this area, one being Black Park at Iver Heath close to Pinewood studios. We even came across them building a set for a film that was going to be shot there. Denham station isnt far making it easy to go into London for the day and if you happen to be a fan of the Carry on films you can even walk down the street at Pinewood Green past the houses they used in Carry on Camping.
We will definitely be visiting there again next year.

To find site:- From north, exit M25 at junction 17 onto A412 and follow signs to Denham. In Denham Green turn right into Denham Green Lane, signed for Picnic Area. Continue along this road to T junction and turn right into Tilehouse Lane. Site is on right just past the airfield through Park Homes to entrance immediately on the right. If coming from the south exit M25 onto M40 London bound and exit at junction 1 onto A40 and right onto A412 and follow directions above. Do not be tempted, particularly if using a Sat Nav to use Tilehouse lane from north or south as road is very narrow.
Wyatts Covert, which is open all year, is a compact member’s only site with just 50 pitches, situated between the village of Denham Green and Denham Aerodrome in Buckinghamshire. As a result of its location there is a fair amount of light aircraft noise during the day but this finishes during early evening. The pitches, all hardstanding, are set out around tarmac roads. The pitches are not as large as you find on more modern Club sites and it would be a struggle to get a full sized awning, caravan and car all on the hardstanding on some. The warden called them City pitches!
There is one facility building which houses the reception and the toilet / showers the latter being kept perfectly clean but are really in need of an upgrade. The washing up area is fully enclosed to give winter protection. There are three service points which are within easy reach of all pitches there is also one for motorhomes.
The site currently has KeZone WiFi but this is due to be upgraded to the second generation WiFi recently announced by the Caravan Club. I found my Vodafone dongle worked well at 3G speeds. There is no TV hookup but given the relatively open aspect of the site satellite reception should be fine from most pitches. The site does not have any facilities for children.
If I were to sum up this site I would say that it’s fine if there are places you wish to visit from the site, its not so much a sitting around and relaxing type site. Likewise there is nothing on site for children so the same would apply. Whilst I appreciate that the site is close to London it is also fairly expensive.
This site seems to have two main uses. Firstly to access either Central London by train from Denham or other attractions like Kew Gardens and Hampton Court or it appeared to being used by people working in the area. For shopping there is a handy general store in Denham Green not far from the station.
For a supermarket you have to travel to Uxbridge where there is a Sainsbury’s which is about 2 miles from the site. Apart from the Biggles Restaurant on the aerodrome, you have to travel further afield for a better selection of restaurants or takeaways. There are several Golf Courses in the area, Fishing is also available nearby, see the information point for details.

We visited this lovely Campsite just for one night in June. The facilities were great, very clean and the site was very well maintained. As we arrived quite late in the afternoon we had the choice of 3 pitches, and as no disabled motorhomers were expected we had the option of having a pitch opposite the toilets and showers, which was good. The pitches are very large and so were rather disappointed that the people the other side of the hedge used our pitch for a short cut to the toilets and having to step over our electric cable. As it was a very hot afternoon and evening and therefore we were sat outside most of the time we felt this quite intrusive.

We used this site as a base for going to London in general and the Marathon in particular and with excellent rail connections it's ideal for this purpose.
A tip would be to use the station at Gerrards Cross rather than Denham or Denham golf course as there are a lot more trains and parking after 9 is only £3.50 for the day at the station and there is plenty of it.
The site is small and so is the shower block and a little old fashioned by Caravan Club standards - however it never seemed to get over run despite only having three showers each and as usual is very clean with plenty of hot water.
The wardens are helpful and friendly and there is a nice relaxed feeling to the site which is unfortunately punctuated by aircraft noise.
There are no two ways about it as there is an aerodrome right next door and you are on the flight path to Heathrow. Why people complain about this I don't know as it is made clear in the handbook that this is the case. The Heathrow jets were not much of an issue but the airfield is at times very noisy with the helicopters making a particular racket. It's not the same every day (weekends appear to be worst) and never at night. However this is certainly not a site you can chill on during the day and I would not recommend it to anybody seeking peace and quiet.
The club says TV reception is fair, we were pitched in the middle of the site and had no problem getting excellent digital reception, this might not be the case if you pitch up on the edges which are surrounded on the whole by trees.
The small 'country park' next to it is nothing to write home about, it looks like it needs a good sprucing up and frankly there isn't much to it. I wouldn't recommend the site for children either unless you can tire them out during the day - there is no play area and little for children in the immediate vicinity, unless they are light plane spotters!
One last thing to be aware of is the ground is about the hardest we have encountered, even rock pegs were bent by it, perhaps the fact there used to be a quarry nearby explains this! But beware if planning to pitch an awning.
In summary what this site is best for is as an excellent base for exploring London especially if you are coming from the north. Windsor is nearby, likewise Henley, the Thames and rural Buckinghamshire. The trains run late and as we did you can go to a West End show and still get back with no problems.

We stayed at this site overnight, whilst on a trip to London. It's handy, because it's only around 1 mile from the train station, which takes you into central London in around 25 minutes.
It's wonderfully clean and tidy, and was very very peaceful. The light aircraft are great to watch, and there's a wonderful restaurant at the airfield. There are shops and a few restaurants only a 15-20 minutes walk away.
The staff were really helpful - we're still quite new to motorhoming, and they were keen to help us. All in all, very nice, and we'd definitely go back!

Just Returned from a 5 night break. Excellent site, small but friendly. Toilet and shower block really clean and only shut for 3/4 hour unlike some cc sites.
We used this as a base for London and Legoland so spent very little time there. Ideal for train into London, we have two girls aged 9 and 7 and it was a comfortable 25 min walk to the station. A family railcard which covered the train journey and the tube cost £21. Local taxi back from Denham station cost £6. Close to Windsor. So impressed that we have re booked for Dec ideal base for Christmas shopping and a show.
Only downside is the noise from the nearby airfield however it was bearable and the girls enjoyed watching the small aircrafts land and take off.
Children would have liked a play area but after dragging them round London they were too tired to miss it.
There is a Tesco Metro in nearby Uxbridge however be wary of Sat Navs taking you there as they don't warn you about pedestrian only areas !

My family and I stayed here for 2 nights last week for our day at Legoland. All pitches are hardstanding and level, which made going out for the day and returning very easy in the motorhome. It was ideal for Legoland (about 1/2 an hour) and would probably be good for Thorpe Park and Chessington too. There is also Bekonscot Model Village a few miles away at Beaconsfield which was great.
The site is only for 50 units, so very compact and friendly. The toilet block is just what you would expect from a Caravan Club site and adequate for all needs. The washing up area was under cover which was quite a nice touch. The warden we dealt with was really nice and the site well kept. There is no children's play area but we were using the site as a base, as were most of our neighbours.
Just next door is an airfield but the only noise was from a few helicopters and light aircraft; daytime noise only and the earliest helicopter we heard was at 7.30am - not too bad! It really didn't bother us but might do some people who are not used to aircraft noise.
Also next door is a lovely little nature reserve in a wood, great for a short family walk.
We will definitely use this site again - not far away are rail links into London; a pretty cheap way of doing London I would think!

Stayed here as a stop-over while heading back up North. I can't stress how impressed I was. The facilities were, as is always the case with the CC, spotless. The wardens friendly and helpful. I wasn't expecting a site inside the M25 to be so green. The airfield next door does produce some noise, (only light aircraft but helicopter's are the worse!) it made a nice change for the kids to watch the small aircraft taking off and coming in to land. If I was visiting Legoland, Windsor or London I wouldn't hesitate to book here. Its road and rail links are great and a large supermarket only about 5 miles away. Great little gem of a place!
