We picked this site for the location (mainly) and the farm shop/cafe. It worked out well for us. The weather was iffy; showers, breezy and the occasional hour or so of sunshine! We booked an electric pitch which was easily big enough to get 6 man tent and 2 cars on. The electric pitches are all along the side of the field and the hedgerow does at least give some protection from the wind. The prevailing wind blows towards the toilet block. We seem to have arrived in the only calm bit of our week and ended up with the wind on the front of the tent. Not a big deal. The site is pitch anywhere and there is plenty of space for kids to run around and play games without making a pest of themselves. Lots of family groups were there with multiple tents and shelters. It rained a lot while we were there, but the ground didn't get boggy and muddy. Good drainage!
On the downside, cleanliness in the showers/toilets wasn't great. It was OK but I wouldn't class any of the facilities as spotless. My son cleaned one shower room himself before he would have a shower. The toilet paper runs out. The end toilets don't have sinks, just hand sanitisers. The hot water was hot enough.
The overall impression I got was that this is a work in progress. It doesn't feel quite finished. It would be nice to have somewhere in the shower to stand and dry your feet for example, and there are a few holes here and there round the site where you might trip. The rubbish bins were overflowing for most of our stay - maybe more bins needed? The road in was narrow and a bit holey. The devil is in the detail.
There is so much right about this site that we would come again.

Really wanted a family break as celebrating some great news and this break was a very important time for us as a family. We decided to leave our tent at home and go glamping instead. We expected glamping to be glamour plus camping this was not the case at all. Very poor bell tents that were stuffy and smelly, small hole in the tent that must have let in the slug we found under our bed and there was evidence of mouse droppings, would recommend the campsite but no way glamping! Left after one night was booked for three and lost out on a lot of money with a lack of interest from the owners. Really sad as if we took our own tent we'd have still been there and really would have enjoyed that a whole lots more.

Great campsite!A simple and fairly small site (one field)in a fantastic location with a superb farmshop and cafe. We met some friends there with their children and loved the fact that this campsite allowed us to pitch a gazebo so that we could share a cooking and eating area - several campsites that I enquired about did not allow gazebos.
Some of the comments on older reviews do not seem to be relevant any more: showers have proper locks and there was no see-through glass. No communal firepit (that we saw anyway), but we hired a firepit on wheels for the week of our stay (there are several for hire in the farmshop)which I think cost about £15 (plus deposit)and was well worth it to enjoy cooking marshmallows and to give a bit of heat in the evenings.
Toilets/showers were spotless and we loved the wetroom design as it all felt so clean and open. There are 4 toilet/shower/sink wetrooms and 2 or 3 separate toilets all in the same block. Two sinks for washing up also at one end of the block. At the weekend, when the site was busier, there was a small amount of queueing for these facilities, but for the rest of the week, the site was much quieter and we did not queue once.
On our first night (a Saturday), we paid to attend the 'campfire' do at the farmshop. This was not quite what I expected, but we were really glad that we did it. Not quite what I expected in the sense that the campfire was in a massive bowl thing off the ground (rather than on the ground like the picture) and was placed in the middle of the patio amongst the wooden eating tables outside the farm cafe (I had envisaged rugs on the grass around a bonfire type thing). Food was served to your table and drinks could be ordered at the bar (cafe counter). The campfire food was amazing - the quality of the meat was outstanding, and it was so great not to have to cook on the first night of camping! The band played great music and, although, it was not quite what I had pictured, it was a great way to start our holiday and well worth the money!
One of our children has Coeliac disease and the cafe had gluten-free bread on request as well as gluten-free sausages and many other gluten-free products. Plus, they were clued up about cross-contamination and we could order food with confidence all week. The cafe is a massive bonus on this simple site - it is clearly treated as a local cafe in the community and the quality/choice/value for money was excellent. Our children had a smoothie every day as a treat - these were made to order and delicious, they also tried a different flavour of the homemade icecream every day (at £1. 80m for a very generous scoop, this was very reasonable). The £1 per item cooked breakfast was a hit (again, very generous portions of excellent quality food), as was the homemade soup. Could not imagine a better cafe or shop on any campsite!
Play equipment for small children outside the cafe, so that parents can sit on tables and watch their children play safely (ours were older, but I remember those days well!). Beautiful view across fields from cafe.
Loads of things to do. What we did and really enjoyed:
Walk from campsite to Fossebridge Inn (got lost as it is off-road and we are not so good at reading maps)was perfect length. Perhaps too long for very small children and there are lots of nettles and thistles so long trousers needed!Fossebridge Inn has a beautiful garden - we had some snacks but not a full meal - saw other people's full meals and saw the menu - a bit over-priced for mediocre food we suspect - but perfect for coffee and snack in great garden
Cotswold Water Park - brilliant for kids aged 8-15 which our groups' were. South Cerney Outdoors for paddle boarding/kayaking etc. Did pay as you go - kids loved it. Lakeside Ski and Wakeboarding on the next door lake - we booked the 6 kids in our group on to a 30min inflatable ride session. Seems expensive - about £140 for 30mins, but we split it between our 3 families and we all agreed that it was the highlight of the holiday for the kids. They ended up giving us a bit longer than the 30mins and there is a lovely cafe balcony overlooking the small lake to watch the fun!
Cheltenham - Sandford Park Lido - a massive and gorgeous lido with cafe overlooking. Great cinema for rainy days (we did one rainy day excursion and did the lido in the rain (fantastic - it was virtually empty!) followed by cinema.
Found an Air rifle range (cannot remember the name, but it is 5 mins from Water Park)- google it? The bloke there was a great teacher and did a one hour session for our 6 children which they really enjoyed (a more difficult activity as it is hard to shoot well so it is quite frustrating, but they all really enjoyed it)

I stayed here for a couple of nights. Excellent location and site. 4 shower rooms with toilets and washbasins so total privacy but expect a little limited if there are many campers on site. Lots of room for play as camping is on edge of large field with easy access to an excellent disused railway for dogs to get exercise. Lovely farm shop and cafe on site. Highly recommend. Only proviso is to be careful which route you use to access if towing. Best to approach from A429.

Fantastic site with farm shop and cafe. Plenty of walks direct from the campsite and we love the Inn at Fossebridge which is about 1 mile walk or you can go on a long detour to work up an appetite/thirst and take several hours to get there! The facilities are four wet rooms. I was disappointed when we got there as another guest had left the toilet in a disgusting state and just had a shower so everything was steamed up and wet, but turned out it was just a one off and the rest of the guests were better behaved! The owners go to great lengths to keep the place clean and tidy and the tepees looked great. We were there for the bank holiday weekend which got quite busy but the facilities held out and a portaloo had been shipped in but I don't think it was used. Around the edges of the site we saw deer, fox cubs and plenty of rabbits. The cafe does breakfast at the weekends and Friday night fish and chips, both of which seemed very popular, but we didn't partake due to our dietary requirements. Generally the site is quite large and not crowded, with six pitches for electric and the rest is pitch where you like within the 6m rules! LPG station a few miles down the road at the services and supermarkets a few miles away too. Great value for money too, as we got a 7th night free deal! Would we return. Yes, definitely, just trying to work out when!

Stopped here for a couple of nights at the start of the Easter holiday. On the first night we had EHU and on the second night we moved to a non-EHU as they had already been booked.
The field has a good rural feel with high hedges, variety of trees and wildlife. The facilities block is very good for a small site like this, all in one wash rooms. They were regularly visited and cleaned by the owners during our stay.
The farm shop and café is a real added bonus for this site. The shop has all the basics plus fresh bread, milk, meat, produce, etc. We also took advantage of the take-away fish and chips, which we're very nice.
There are a number of footpaths and bridleways which can be used to form walks of different length.
Overall, a nice site in a good area.

Just had 2 nights at Denfurlong Camp site near Cotswolds. Overall a good campsite.
Good points - amazing farm shop, decent shop prices, nice size cafe with ok prices. Didn't try the food. The site itself is very spacious with loads of room for the kids to play. Nice quite site no roads, trains etc. Good price/night, oh and a great site for stars at night.
Bad points - the new shower block consists of 4 toilets/wet rooms so the shower and toilet is actually in the same cubicle. So people needing a quick wee in the morning need to wait for people to have showers, also the doors frosted glass is fairly see through and the lock on the shower/toilet doors is a safety chain so people can actually still open the door while you are doing whatever.
My personal points - the communal fire pit is a little close to some pitches, the few electric pitches are a bit close together and the trees unfortunately block out a decent sunset. Also our pitch didn't seem that slopey but slipped down bed a few times each night.
Ground was fairly hard.
Overall if this site was closer (came from Yorkshire, 165 miles - visiting a friend) then we would probably visit again.

Our second time at Denfurlong, this time in a caravan. Lovely site, beautiful big field, lots of lovely trees, rural and unspoilt. At the same time super wet rooms (brand new, spacious, and so well made), and a farmshop and cafe on site. Best of both worlds!
Good for children to have some freedom and play, good for dogs and their owners (who seemed to pick after them and keep them under control), and good for adults, too! Plenty of space to not be on top of each other.
Communal fire pit, far enough away from the pitches not to disturb anyone, but very romantic for those summer nights.
They have only a few hook-ups, so book early. Plenty of spaces for tents, and a couple of glamping bell tents to rent. Level pitches, but no hard standing.
Chedworth is very close to the Roman Villa, and easy distance to all the lovely Cotsworld towns and villages. Very easy to drive to from the M4, too.
Recommend for peaceful rural feel with all mod cons!

Denfurlong is a simple site and we like sites that way. It looks like it was just a Certified Location until last year. As others have mentioned, the toilet block is unfinished but it looks nearly there. This is reflected in the price at the moment i. E. It's cheap.
It's a big field with lots of bushes and hedges around the edge for kids to explore but no big playground. The site is on a quiet road so there's no traffic noise.
The farm shop and cafe are much more comprehensive than most sites. The cafe does dinners and breakfasts on weekends and the shop is comprehensive with everything from fruit to beer to pasta. There is no need to take food for a weekend if you don't want to.
The owners seemed friendly.
The 'elsan point' is up a slope from the field and so we were unable to empty our grey water tank. Only a problem for motorhomes staying long enough to fill the tank.

Stayed here for a family get-together on May bank holiday weekend.
The field is a good size, level and well drained. Plenty of room for kids to explore and play.
The farm shop sells all sorts of local produce, the food in the cafe was good and reasonably priced. Neither of these is close enough to the camping field to be a disturbance.
The expected new facilities block was not finished. A bit disappointing but not their fault. However, only two portaloos was only just enough for the amount of people on site. They were kept clean and well stocked, but were full by Monday. An extra one would have been good. Once the new facilities block is finished, I expect that will be sufficient.
The elsan point is clearly marked a ssuch but looks a bit like a bin and was being used for all sorts of rubbish. This could do with being more clearly described as lots of people were using the elsan tap for washing and drinking water. I presume they didn't know what 'elsan' means!
There is a road along one side of the field but its not very noisy.
We saw Red Kites and Buzzards, Bats and Owls from the field.
Communal fire pit was nice but take your own fire pit if its going to be a busy weekend.
All in all, a good site despite being full up on a bank holiday weekend.
