Big site with pitches well separated and whilst busy over the Bank holiday pitches are well spaced unlike one site we stopped at near Athlone where the supposed 40 pitches had turned into 100!
Great location for a few days stop to explore Dublin prior to departure to Ferry port.
Good facilities, helpful reception service and information sheet. Showers require 2E tokens - good size cubicles with fixed heads (never ideal for women!) and no temperature control. Buses stop right outside and run to Fleet street (Centre of the city) for 3. 30E (exact fare) or the hop on hop off red tourist bus picks up and drops off in the city for 2 euros or you can buy the one (19E) or two day (22E) sightseeing ticket. Good value for getting to and from town although last return hop on hop off bus is 4. 30 p. M. Public bus is much later if you want to stop for a meal. There is a lovely big public park next door if you want to just chill or do some fishing. Site not handy for shops but take away menus can be used and food delivered at a small charge.
This site is used by a lot of British campers. The problem is that a lot of British vans do not have a compatible TV for Irish TV reception. The consequence is that people were using the Wifi for streaming TV from the internet and getting a reasonable signal for ordinary purposes was very hit and miss.
Site is near to a major road and there is some traffic noise throughout the night but you get used to it.

Excellent site, with easy access from all directions around Dublin. Site is spacious and pitched generally separated by low hedges and mostly hard standing. Each pitch has water, electricity and grey water disposal. Staff are helpful and friendly, and the facilities are clean and well maintained considering that this generally a busy site. This is the perfect place as a first and last stop on an Ireland trip as it is only 30 minutes from the ferry terminals. We use this site every time we go to Ireland

We stayed at this campsite for one night prior to catching a morning ferry from Dublin Port.
The site is well-equipped and handy for Dublin. Good play park for kids. Small gripe is that showers are extra (don't know if this is usual in S. Ireland), and a token is needed from reception. Unfortunately, reception was closed for the time we were there due to our fairly late arrival and early departure.
Adjacent to the campsite is the excellent Corkagh Park. (For dog-owners, there is a lead-free pen in Corkagh Park, although it's not signposted. )
If you're departing early, you'll need to inform staff so they can give you the code for the exit gate.
I'll probably return to the site (would definitely return if showers were included in the price).

As this site is opened all year round we decided to make the most of the fine weather & have an unexpected new year break, & what a gem we found.
This is without question one of the best sites in Ireland with very large hardstanding pitches, each of which has it's own electric, water & grey waste disposal.
The grounds are immaculate & the hedges surrounding each site are very neatly trimmed. There is a very modern children's play area & all the facilities are warm & very clean. The staff are friendly & helpful with 24 hour security.
Next door is a 300acre park with a pet farm, cycle track, fishing lakes & playground.
There is a bus stop right outside the gate with buses going to the centre of Dublin about every hour from 6 am until midnight.
We intend to return for a longer break at Easter.

Firstly I would like to warn caravanners coming on the P and O ferry from Liverpool. Our experience was heart stopping! We have a twin axle caravan and had to reverse it up a steep ramp and manoeuvre it next to a lorry onto the ferry. After numerous attempts one of the staff kindly did it for us. We fear we may have to stay in Ireland forever!
It was simple at the other end though and followed the directions provided by the website. It did cost 10 Euro's to go through the tunnel. I think this was because of the time of day. There is also another toll on the M50 that costs 3 Euro's and can only be paid online and must be paid by 8pm the following day. The alternative is to drive through the centre of Dublin which we did not fancy at peak traffic time.
The site is around 30 minutes from Dublin port. It is a large well laid out site. We were warmly welcomed and given a map of Dublin and a copy of the bus time table. The stop is just outside the park and is an hourly service until midnight. It takes around 45 minutes into Dublin. Alternatively there is a hop on hop off bus that stops at the park at 9:30 am and 10:30 am. The public bus only takes coins and doesn't give change. If you are going to get back to the park late you will need to get a code to get through the security gate. The park also has a taxi service which cost 20 euro's into Dublin.
The pitches are large and each pitch is separated by hedges all around which gives a bit of privacy. Al pitches are fully serviced with power, fresh water and grey water disposal.
I read previous reviews about the showers costing 1. 50 Euro's for 6 minutes so didn't use them at all as we have a shower in our caravan.
There is a large children's play area in the centre of the park.
There is free WIFI throughout the park but we were unable to get any reception so used our own. Phone and TV satellite reception were good.
All in all a really nice site and we will be coming back here at the end of our tour around Ireland.
The nearest shops are at the village of Clondalkin which is around a 5 to 10 minute drive. There is a Tesco there.

Good site, clean and well laid out. Quite a lot of road noise but weighed against convenience of position acceptable.
City Tour bus from site excellent value. If you subtract 4 bus journeys @ 2. 30 euros, you are getting 6. 80 euros unlimited get on/get off city tour for two days.
I agree with the comment about showers costing 1. 50 euros for six minutes, when you have to waste two minutes waiting for it to warm up.
We approached from Dublin Port avoiding the Motorway Toll but hitting rush hour through the centre of Dublin.
The toll is not a cash one and has to be paid on line. Check before you travel!

This is the first site we visited after leaving dun loghiare port which is the closest one to the port.
It is a fantastic site with well laid out pitches with water and electric on every pitch with waste water disposal also, it did have a sewer outlet but not sure about using that as it didn't have a separate tap for cleaning it, so used the communal chemical disposal point, I can only assume that this was used by RV's as the pitches were HUGE and could accommodate any size rig.
We had a tour bus which picked us up at the site entrance which cost 16 euro's for 2 days sightseeing around dublin whic we thought was excellent value.
we didn't use showers and loo's as we have our own but it was 1 euro for a shower and the showers were like the one you see at a public baths, only unisex all outdoors and all separate cubicles.
There is a massive field for backpackers which had just been vacated after one long weekend were were told.
they have a huge campers kitchen with fridge cooker and lots of benches and tables for socialising.
There was lovely park next door whicg we cycled through where there are big lakes where you can fish.
The bus stop that takes you to Dublin is outside the gate and for 2 euro's each way was very good value as there bus ride to dubbin took around half an hour.
We would definitely use this site again if we were to visit Ireland again

This site is amazing. Easy to find. Well located outside Dublin.
Super friendly staff offering helpful advice.
Facilities are plentiful and clean.
Never queued for a shower or in toilets and they were clean.
There's a laundry room which looked good,but didn't use.
A huge wash up room in which there were microwaves and tables/chairs. Some campers ate in here when weather was chilly.
Bus stops right outside the site and city tour bus will pick up and drop off outside reception daily.
The site itself is spacious and set on the edge of a city park. Each caravan/camper/motor home pitch was edged with low hedging making it seem like your very own place!
The grounds were all well kept, hedges trimmed, grass mown and all in all the buildings were in excellent repair making it all feel very comfortable.
Central to site is a big children's play area with lots of play equipment.
No cafe on site, but ices, snacks/crisps available from reception area. Think there was hot drink machine there too.
Whilst staying at site went to Gaiety Theatre in evening and got a taxi back to site, can't remember exact fare but in region of £25. Prob could have got a bus, but chose not to.
Handy for ports etc and just off major road, but noise wasn't an issue.
Will definitely use again.

Just back from an 8 night stay at Camac Valley,
An excellent site, well laid out, large pitches which have their own grey & fresh water, toilet block large and spotlessly clean, staff brilliantly helpful,
Added bonus of free wi-fi across the whole site although reception is not great towards the bottom of the site.
Our only disappointment was the showers, these are token operated, tokens are purchased from reception at 1.50euro providing 6 minutes which is rather short if you have to wait 1-2 minutes for warm water to come through. We ended up sharing to stop us spending a fortune as there are 5 of us.
Overall 8/10 and we would not hesitate to use again.

Myself, husband and 2 children stayed at Camac Valley for 4 nights. Having read the reviews on this site I was somewhat sceptical as they weren't very positive. We are new to caravanning and this was only our 2nd trip out. We could not have faulted the Park in anyway. Each pitch is surrounded by small hedges (which gives privacy), fresh water supply and grey waste water disposal. The toilet and shower block were very clean and I noticed these were cleaned 3 or 4 times a day. Security was excellent, being barrier operated and the site is monitored by CCTV. The children's play area was well equipped and my girls thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The location of the park was excellent for us as we had planned to visit friends in Kildare and we were also close to Dublin city centre. There is a small shopping precint nearby with a chinese (which delivers) and a Centra shop.
I would recommend Camac Valley to anyone who wants a quiet, clean caravan park.
I plan to return to this park in the very near future.
