First came across this site on a Sunday ride out. We liked the look of the site, so booked there and then for 3 days later to stop for 4 nights. Even got a fully serviced pitch. The prices are very reasonable for the standard of the site.
We enquired about late arrivals on the Wednesday, when we booked and was informed that wasn't a problem, as any booking in after 6 p. M. Was done in the on site pub, very handy for anyone having a full days work before travelling.
We arrived at approximately 8 p. M. Popped into the bar to book in, and was asked if we were likely to be going back to the bar for a meal once we were set up, (which we had intended to do), so they knew not to switch things off until after we'd eaten, a very considerate thought.
The pub food was delicious, with fantastic service and very reasonable prices. Lovely play area within the pub grounds for children, and very nice outdoor seating areas too.
The site is very open plan and adjoins the holiday homes/static caravan park, though different entrances to each part.
The facilities on site (toilets, showers and chemical disposal) were extremely clean and modern, and the site overall was kept clean and tidy. The fully serviced pitch was hard standing for the caravan with semi hard/soft area at the side for awnings and parking. (Sort of Concrete blocks with holes in to allow for awning pegs or wind shades to be erected). There are also pitches with electric hook up only, if you prefer, and pitches for tents (either basic or with EHU).
Reception/shop was well stocked with basic and non basic items, though most things were 'Happy shopper' or equivalent budget brands, so if you're fussy and like brand name foods/products make sure you take them with you!
We didn't use the golf course or driving ranges or the fishing so cannot comment on these.
We found all members of staff both on site and in the pub to be very friendly and helpful.
If I really had to find a negative for this site it would probably be that there is only one toilet/shower/chemical disposal block and it can be a fair way to walk if your mobility is not 100%, though wasn't a problem for us because we used our on-board facilities for everything most of the time. (But it is twice as far to walk for the campers)! But as I said that is only a very minor complaint, and we enjoyed our stay at Woodthorpe and would definitely like to return in the future.

Just returned from Woodthorpe Leisure Park, what a great site, large pitch, staff very helpful, shop well stocked and reasonably priced. Visited Woodys which was again reasonably priced and helpful staff. Showers and toilets were very clean and used the powder room daily for hair and makeup. Also on site was a hairdressers and beauty treatments The site was relaxing quiet and very well organised. All in all had a great 3 days here would recommend and will definitely return again

Our first visit to Woodthorpe Hall and we shall be returning again.
The pitch we had for our Touring Caravan was roomy. We and our 2 dogs had plenty of walks in the woodland areas. The Toilet and Shower building was immaculate which also included a family room if you had young children. The Golf Course/Range was perfection. Children had plenty of play area. The meals we had at Woody, s where excellent and well presented.
The Shop had everything we needed and was well stocked.
The whole Leisure Park was very clean and tidy with great attention to detail.
OwnerMrs Stubbs is a lovely caring lady.
Well done to all the staff for being friendly & helpful.

First impressions were excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful. The pitch was tiny, just enough room to put up two chairs but it was flat and had a drinking water tap which was really useful.
The whole site was immaculate, the shop so well stocked, I won't bother packing any food next visit. The showers and toilets were modern and clean and everywhere well maintained.
Midweek, the site was lovely, very relaxing and peaceful but if you want peace and quiet, don't go on a Fri night as the club noise was at times unbearable, very loud thumping music going on until almost 1. 45 am. If you like very loud music and noisy crowds this will be the ideal location for you, but for us pensioners it was too much.
There was building work going on but it wasn't a problem at all, the builders were considerate and there wasn't any noise or disturbance from the work. There is a lovely new children's playground being constructed but at present there is nothing much for children except for a couple of trampolines and delightful woodland walks.
The Garden centre is lovely, well worth a visit. The Aquatic centre is fabulous, children and adults alike could happily spend a couple of hours looking around it and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
On checking out and returning the shower swipe key, the receptionist took the key from me and handed back my deposit barely without a word because she was deep in personal conversation with the other receptionist. A simple 'Goodbye' or 'we hope you enjoyed your stay' would have been appreciated.
Overall a beautiful place, well recommended, good value for money and one we will certainly visit again for a midweek break.

Another visit to one of our favourite sites. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and 'Mum' often calls round to ask if all is well and 'are we looking after you properly'? The Sunday lunch at Woody's bar is the best we've had for some years so the previous comments about food are a bit of a mystery to us.
Golf was as usual on a well maintained course and at a reasonable rate. Facilities were up to the usual spotless standard - having being cleaned thoroughly each morning.

Just had a weekend on this campsite and I have to say it is the best site I have been on. The staff were friendly and helpful, the site itself was very clean and tidy. Shower blocks, toilets, washing up room were all also very clean. The pitches were spacious with lots of room. Fishing ponds well stocked and well kept. We went with our two children aged 12 and 14 they both enjoyed it as did myself and my wife and we will definitely be going again.

We stayed here last October with friends, with pitches side by side the children loved it.
The shower and toilet block were immaculate.
We ate at woodys and the food was very nice.
There is a garden centre just a short walk up the road and they had all the Xmas decorations out, so many, how do you choose??? They also had a maze for the children to go round, and out side sheltered seating while you waited, watched and listened for the children.
We enjoyed our stay here and we are booked to go again in 2 weeks.

We stayed her using the sun vouchers which seemed we were put away from everyone else on the site. The pitches are of a good size. The toilet and showers were very clean. The staff did not know much about the local area. We did find that cars did travel round the site a bit to fast. There is a lot to see a round the area and not far from Skegness. There are a few areas for bird watching Glibraltar point being one.

Our second (and certainly not the last) visit to Woodthorpe Hall. Excellent facilities are provided with a pristine new shower/toilet block and Woodys bar and restaurant. The beer and the food were good if not superb and at very reasonable rates.
The main events for me were the golf driving range (the best I've ever seen) and the superbly maintained 18 hole (flat) golf course. Green fees and buggy hire charges are more than reasonable. For my wife, the garden centre across the road provided more than an temptation to stock up the garden. Fellow visitors were friendly and invited me to make up a four ball on one occasion. Locally, there are many places to visit without travelling more than a few miles.
In all, just what the doctor ordered for a relaxing or athletic weekend according to choice.

Camping on the woodthorpe hall site is very good and would recommend to campers and caravanners alike. All pitches are hook up and have water. The toilet block is very modern and clean. Pitches were clean, well maintained and nice and flat. Shop / reception is good, staff were very helpful and from arriving and registering were on our pitch in 10 minutes.
The biggest mistake of our stay was eating at the on site pub, Woody's, it is terrible. Starters were burned to a crisp, main course of lasagne had been nuked and was virtually inedible. They gave us a free sweet to compensate but the damage had been done. Food is terrible and the place smelt of damp. Absolutely awful.
