We have just returned from our first trip to Woodthorpe Hall. On arrival the staff were very helpful and even helped park up our caravan, the pitch was hardstanding with plenty of awning space and a gravelled car parking space.
The toilet facilities were fantastic clean and modern (even had music playing). To say it was a busy weekend we didn't see lots of people about, Woody's bar was nice friendly and welcoming with food and drink nicely priced.
They had evening entertainment which we didn't go and see but from the looks of the information they gave us is a nightly thing. The site was very clean and plenty to do for everyone, my husband spent some time fishing and myself and my daughter had a ride into Mablethorpe.
There is a also a golf course and range available and spa. For children there were swings and trampolines with a big field. We also visited the sites garden centre just up the road which was really nice and well worth a visit.
We have already booked to go again in a few months time.

We (4 of us) went here twice in 2012, march and September. We only went for the golf initially, which is a great course. Being 4 blokes on our own we managed to make breakfast each morning, but went to woody's at night for dinner, the food there is excellent and cheap, bar staff friendly, beer good and even a quiz one night. We stayed in a static last 2 times but we are going back early in April next year but going to try a bungalow, hoping for good weather again. Would totally recommend this site.

We spent three days here trying out our new caravan. We found the site on the internet as it loooked good, always a worry that the home page is 'jazzed up' to sell the place. Well let me tell you that this was not true as it was better than described!
Large plots with water and electric close by. Only inconvieniance was that the electricity was 10 amp, if you switched on a kettle and a light it would likely trip out (talking to site staff the owner is refurbishing soon and the amperage will go up to 16).
The bar and restaurant were fantastic, wonderful beer, wonderful food and some of the nicest staff you could wish to meet.
If you into golf or fishing the facilities are excellent.
Previous reviewers comments regarding issues with chemical waste point, this will be resolved with in the next few weeks, the owner Mrs Stubbs informed us (by the way a lovely lady!.
We would recommend this site to other caravaners!

We stayed at Woodthorpe for 4 nights and weren't disappointed. Large grass pitches, with water taps nearby. Shower block and toilets were spotless. We had a couple of meals in Woody's. Food was gorgeous and nicely priced. Staff incredibly friendly
There is also a huge garden centre over the road that sells absolutely everything.
Also there is a golf course, driving ranges and fishing lakes.
Close to some great locations. Ie Lincoln and a couple of coastal towns.
The only bad point was the chemical toilet point. 1 ordinary toilet to put your chemical and waste water in. Try lifting 40 litres of grey water onto a toilet and empty it. Plus no tap to rinse your containers out other than trekking over to the nearest tap outside.
Other than that a great site to stay at.

This site is amazing.
We stayed 3 nights and wished we could have stayed longer.
The pitches are very flat, spacious and well spaced out.
The toilet, shower, laundry, powder room and chemical toilet disposal are all entered by using a swipe card (£10 refundable deposit) and are immaculate at all times of the day.
On site are 2 fishing lakes, golf driving range, 18 hole golf course but only for members, large playing field with swings, trampolines and goal posts.
Woodys bar is very good and not overpriced. £2. 80 for a pint of ale. £7. 50 for 2 course meal deal. Entertainment every evening including Bingo, quiz etc.
The driving range is superb but you need your own clubs. I would recommend purchasing a ball card from the shop as you get 250 balls for £10 rather than 200 if paying cash at the machines.
Our son caught his first fish in one of the lakes.
Other family members joined us on site and stayed in one of the static caravans which was of very good quality.
A very friendly and welcoming site and we will definitely return.

Fantastic site, we were greeted in a nice new reception area, and taken to our massive pitch surrounded by high hedges for protection.
The camping field was quite empty when we arrived and filled up yet we had lots of room. The wash room was immaculate with lots of showers, which we complemented the cleaner on.
A swipe card is issued for £10 deposit, which is great, stops kids messing about in the toilet block.
There is a golf course which seemed popular however we only used the driving range and had a go at archery (Extra cost).
We ate in the bar on the last night and although the decor is dated the food was wonderful.
There are lots of people on site who live there and they were very nice (travelling around in golf buggys).
The children's playground needs some improvement, but I'm sure this is part of the long term plans. Overall a great site which I would recommend and visit again.

Just got back from 3 nights here. On arrival we were shown to our pitch, unfortunately we wern't told where the grey water etc went - had to ask around but as many people had just arrived nobody really knew!
Tried to eat at Woodys but were told that they were busy - they had a table of 6 and 8 so couldn't fit us in even if we ate in the family room! Seemed a bit ridiculous so we asked at reception for a local pub and they recommended the Waggon and Horses (turn left out of the site, keep going until the end of the road, bear left at the junction and it is a bit further down the road on the right) It was fantastic! - steak, lasagne 2 pints and 2 kids meals for under £40!
All facilities at the site clean but no loo roll 2 days on the trot - glad I always take my own, and the hot water was almost warm at 10 in the morning.
Overall a nice site that we would be happy to visit again!

Wow is my first and last impression for this site. Close to mablethorpe, sutton on sea and skegness.
The shower & wc facilities are very clean modern and spacious. Same again for the family room their is a £10 deposit for swipe card needed for these though! But its well worth it.
A gem is the therapy suite that's on site called essence I did treat myself to a head, neck & back massage and also braved the garra rufa fish treatment. Booking essential!
Golf course fishing lake and a very well lit driving range also on site. Woodys bar bit over priced on the drinks also does food but we didn't sample it!
Could do with more though for the kids have a playing field with a couple of goals and two swings but that's it.
Already booked to go back this summer.

Spent a couple of days here beginning of September, very nice site, well signposted and easy to find. Shower blocks, toilets modern and clean. Clubhouse nice and friendly staff, good food.
£10.00 deposit required for key card to showers and toilets.
Large field for the kids to play on two goalposts, three old trampolines and some swings,
Went mainly to take my young daughter fishing on the sites two ponds but we didn't have a bite in the two days we were there, other people did pull out some nice sized fish using pole and light lines and very small hooks, with sweetcorn as bait.
Close by is the market town of Louth, lovely old town with a good market on wednesdays, Mablethorpe and Sutton on sea are also a short drive away.
A very good site will book again next summer.

We visited Woodthorpe for a 4 day break in early August. Very impressive as you drive into site, plenty of trees and flowers. Booking in was very easy and we were taken to our EHU pitch which was very spacious.
There is a new building which contains the toilets and showers, washing up and laundry facilities, ladies powder room and family bathrooms. Despite the site being busy we found them to be clean at all times. In the reception area there is a shop selling newspapers / comics / basic food lines etc. And had good opening hours.
There is a bar and restaurant on site which although beginning to look a little dated was very comfortable and had a good atmosphere.
A short stroll from the site is a fantastic garden centre- sells everything. We made two visits and if we had more room in our car would have gone again! It contains a tea room and things for the kids.
So far so good- just a few negatives. The play area needs to improve-great trampolines but very old swings and nothing else.Suggestion for the shop - basic camping supplies e.G. Ground pegs. Another water tap on the tent field would be good.
The site is in a beautiful location but apart from the garden centre nothing else is within walking distance so prepare to use your car. We found a couple of excellent value pubs within a 10 minute drive if you want a change to the on site bar.
Overall we are happy to recommend Woodthorpe Hall and thought it offered excellent value for money.
