The caravan that we stayed in was very clean when we arrived, they also made it smell very fresh, even though it was a caravan that we could take our dog into.
They are very friendly and like to work on first name basis. They are always happy to help and tell you about local attractions and if they are near by.
After we had got into the caravan a short while later Cath (the owner) turned up to tell us about the rules of the site and the caravan that we was staying in.
There was also a file of places to go and any phone numbers that we may need. There was also a package to leaflets there, so you don't need to go hunting for them yourself.
The facilities were very clean, they were in the shower/toilet block everyday cleaning them thoroughly. There are also facilities where you are able to wash and dry your clothes, which were clear how to use with the instruction. There is also an iron for use, which can come in handy.
The play ground was very good for children. The playground has a park, with climbing frames, a basket-ball hoop, a tennis area and a field where you can play other games.
The clubhouse that they had was also very good for children, there was always a disco on and dance floor so they could dance and play games. There are also 2 or 3 dog walking areas, which are quiet so if there is no-one there, then you know that its safe to let your dog of the lead.
The site location was just in the right place for us. Its near lots of local attractions, like the Eden Project and had lots a large towns around it for days out. It is also a short journey to Newquay, where we was able to take the dog onto the beach.
This beach is also very good for surfers. There are a lot of nice local pubs around the campsite, such as the Bugle inn, which is a mile away. They serve nice food there are a reasonable price.
Overall the stay was very good. We would definitely consider coming back next year to finish off things we didn't manage to do.

We stayed here for 4 nights this month and having absolutely nothing bad to say about this site. You drive in on a country type road and it has a large owners house as you go in and the pitches are set back from the clubhouse and massive play area for kids. Its set on a super pretty green tiered site and you really feel like you are in a part of the Cornish countryside - especially as the pitches are so so spacious. I paid a little extra for a larger site but even without doing this you would still be really happy with your pitch.
The pitches are slightly sloped but on gorgeous green grass and are massive. We had EHU and a water tap right next to our tent as seemed to be the norm for the pitches here. There are ample toilets and large shower which allowed me to shower with two kids and have enough space to do this. The toilets and showers were kept extremely clean with lots of toilet roll and the usual cleaning things for campers use - although they were so clean we never had to use them. All the toilets and showers and pot wash/laundry are within a large building next to the club house.
The place was v safe for kids and my two (under 5 yrs) ran around the place and I never felt they were unsafe as cars are kept off the main circular track going round the site. The play area had a sand pit, slides, swings, balancing tyres and a massive ball area. The pics from the website and brochure do not do this site justice!
They have a clubhouse which is open in the morning for collecting maps etc, buying basic provisions and freezing ice packs, and its also open on an evening for a bar.
The two owners, Kathy and husband are so so so helpful and friendly, we were made to feel so welcome and they helped me with directions and suggestions for beaches. I cannot fault this site at all.
Considering the time of year we went, it was not fully booked and I have no idea why as the location of this site is EXCELLENT. 7 mns from Eden and no more than half an hour away from loads of great places in Cornwall. Lands End is only an hour or so away.
This makes and excellent base for exploring Cornwall and we will definitely be back to this site.

Well, its with reluctance that I write this review, for selfish reasons, as I would love to keep this wonderful site a secret! but must give much deserved credit to the owners for a wonderful holiday.
If you have read the previous reviews, I would only be repeating what the other happy campers have already written. So the fact that we booked 7 nights and stayed for 20, I think that speaks for itself!
We requested a hard standing level pitch, as a last minute booking. The owners understandably told us they were fairly booked up, but they would do their best to meet our request. We didn't realise that meant they had worked day and night to get the new pitches finished to accommodate us. Customer service or WHAT.
Its a centrally based site, so easy to visit either coast, as we found when it rained on one side, so we just drove over to the other, and had sun all day.
We had some enjoyable evenings down at the club where the children can play on the park and you can still keep an eye on them.
All in all, a very enjoyable holiday.
Value for money, no one else could touch it in the area, and trust me, we looked!

This is the best camp site I have ever been to. It is a very quiet and well kept site. As you drive into the camp site you come accross a lawned play area where you will see little rabbits.
It is surrounded in woodland and the only noise you can hear is bird noises.
The pitches are large and some are not fenced in at all. The price payable is per 4 people in 1 tent. £21 per night with electric, which seemed to be the cheapest around.
It is such a pretty camp site that is is hard to describe.
You are not cramped up and in August the field was very empty, although it did rain most of the time. The drainage was good.
The welcome at reception was good and you received the camp site rules before you arrive. Basically the rules are don't be too noisy and clean up dog poo and supervise your children.
Facilities
Large modern club house, washing machine and tumble drier, 2 ladies showers and 2 ladies toilets,I never had to queue for. The toilets and showers are clean and modern.
3 sinks areas, 3 dog walk areas through wooded area, which is lovly, small shop which sells basics only as asda and tesco are very local. There is a tap with each electric hook up, so no needed to fetch water. There is a sand pit, swings, slide and large play area.
The location is excellent for touring. We travelled all over cornwall. The best places were lizard point, lands end, bodmin jail, a steam train place and a few castles. The Eden project was over priced and boaring. £50 for 2 adults and 3 pieces of cake. Not even a playground.
Lots of places do not allow dogs. However Royston dog kennels offer day dog sitting for £10.50 for a westie. We booked 2 days at the kennels. This is about 4 miles away. Dropped off a 9 and collected before 5pm.
There is a chip shop and chinese within a mile or 2.
We booked for 5 nights and ended up staying for 11. We took our 3 year old daughter. The camp site of best suited for small children and those people who like quiet. There is no entertainment and little to do for teenagers.
Never went to St Austell beach as no dogs allowed. Downloaded a dog friendly list of beaches before we left home. There are loads of beaches to choose from. Gorran Haven was nice and the beach next to it.
I really cannot understand why this site was so empty. It was cheap, quiet, clean and the owners really helpful.Maybe they need to invest in marketing. But the main selling point of the site was how quiet and spacious it is. So I hope it is not too full in future. I will definalty be back again next year.
PS the pictures on the web site do not show how lovely the site is.

This is a lovely peaceful campsite close to Eden Project. The electric hook up & a water tap for your pitch was very useful. There is a small club house offering pool & darts, however we did not use this facility.
The on site shop was of little use as hardly anything there, tesco & adsa are relatively close by. Washing up area is basic and slightly under cover, the laundry seemed fine but again we did not use this. There is a nice area for the children to play ball games and also a small park.
This is a nice site but the only down side is that the toilet facilities are out dated and in need of renovation, two toilets, two showers and five basins did not seem adequate for the size of the site.
The tiles in area's needed replacing and spiders loved it in there big webs. Only one hairdryer and two hand dryers. No plug socket for your own hair dryer.
Overall a nice relaxing site with friendly owners.

We had the greatest pleasure to visit Old Kerrow Farm for the first time this year and I hope we will have the opportunity to return again and again in the years to come. Kathryn and Will are perfect hosts and we just loved their beautifully restored stone homestead, all the facilities, the dog walks, the opportunity to be at one with nature and our 'home-from-home' - the static. It is amazing how spacious it actually was and we so enjoyed sitting out on the decking, enjoying the long summer evenings. We had glorious weather and what a wonderful part of the country it is. Thank you Kathryn and Will for being so attentive and for even getting in my favourite tipple - ginger beer - it was delicious. We wish you lots and lots of happy returns of old friends - we saw first hand how many people come back year after year like one big happy family. Thanks too to Andy and Pete for making it happen and planning our magic holiday - none of you let us down and it was exactly how we were told it would be - a perfect holiday. Thank you so much and we thoroughly recommend Old Kerrow Farm. Hope it is not too long before we can get back to the UK to experience it again. Warm regards from Trevor and Shirley from a freezing cold Pretoria South Africa!

I think it is a great site if only they could fill it. There wasn't many people on the site so there were no queues for the showers or toilets. Both were always clean & tidy. Washing up were 2 outdoor & one indoor in the washer room. Water always hot for washing & showers.
Our pitch was close to the shop & bar so no long walks, the owners were very friendly & always stopped for a chat if they saw you. We had E.H.U. & our own water supply tap on the same unit(very handy). The shop is not well stocked but the owner did explain that with an ASDA & TESCO nearby there not much point? We went into the bar a couple of nights, not much choice of beers on tap. The owner explained that the breweries wouldn't supply? We had a couple of cans at £2.40 each, the kids drinks were 50p. There's pool & darts, with music from cds from the stage.
It was our first time in Cornwall & we found most tourist places were outside, the week we were there the weather was wettish! On one sunny day we went to Padstow about 30mins drive using the B roads. Used the P&R £3.00 all day. Lovely harbour & shops full of Pasties. We hired some bikes to cycle part of the camel route. They only do full day hire & we hadn't booked, so could only get bikes at around 1pm but still had to pay for full day £12 adults & £6 children. So if you can book in advance. We went to Newquay & saw the surfers, loads of shops & cafe's but always busy. Went to Tintagel one evening had a walk down to the beach. Saw the Castle from a distance but was closed, seemed like worth a visit during the day?
We came home after 5 day's because of the weather but overall a great site.

Old Kerrow Farm is a family run concern. It is one of the nicest Caravan Parks we have stayed at. The owners Will and Kathryn and there two sons Sean and Benjamin go out of there way to make sure you are looked after. Nothing is too much trouble for them.
The site is kept to a high standard. The showers and toilets are exceptionally clean and fresh Will and Kathryn deserve to be successful as they put a lot of effort into making sure the site runs smoothly and professionaly.
The site area is also very clean and tidy, we would not hesitate to return to this site it is on our list of sites we would go back to.
The whole outlook of the site is perfect the gardens on the site are kept neat and where in bloom when we were there. The Gardens have had a lot of thought and effort put into them.
The Eden Project is only a short distance away, there is plenty to see and do, our favourite places to visit were the Schreech Owl Centre, where you get hands on with the owls, Port Isaac, and Fowey,
Thankyou Will and Kathryn for b eing friends also.

Kathryn was there to greet us on are arrival at Old Kerrow Farm and could not have been more helpful.
The site was just perfect, with mains water and electricity on 'tap' next to our caravan. Our pitch was very private with a rosehip hedge around. The toilets and showers were immaculate.
The Clubhouse is well worth a visit - very light and airy. Will's choice of background music when having the odd drink or two, is pleasing to the 'ears'. We did enjoy the odd game of darts as well.
The area is well worth a visit.
Sadly, the weather was not good to us and we cut our visit short. However, we hope to go back to Old Kerrow Farm in the future, and see Kathryn and Will again.
It is well worth visiting!

Nice site which has good facilities which are clean and in good order, The play park is good and safe, The clubhouse / bar is a nice layout with pool and darts to be had at a good cost of free for darts and 50p a game for pool, drinks at sensible price too with back ground music. Friendly owners once you have been told about the rules!. 3 dog walk area's the top one though the woods is the best. Only two notes the roads are sand / gravel which comes in on your feet (it was near the end of the season and a very wet one at that), No motorhome waste disposal area. But our pitch was hard standing and had its own water supply which many we saw had.
Would we use again ? Yes!. Great location only 4 miles from the Eden Project and close to the A30 and St Austell.
