We've just come back from a lovely weekend with friends at North View and we would definitely go back again - in fact we have already recommended it to parents and our friend's in-laws have already booked!
The site is small and there seems to be a number of pitches taken up by seasonal caravans but everyone was really friendly - even across the divide between the CC and non-CC bits!
The last mile or so leading to the site is down a narrow road with a sharp drop off on the side in certain places but we were towing a large van and with care it isn't a problem. There is a short steep hill down to the campsite itself but again, this wasn't too much of an issue.
The bathroom facilities were absolutely immaculate and one of the best I've seen. There was even piped music! The water was lovely and hot and plentiful but if I had to have a gripe, the push button was too short and had to be pressed every few seconds. That really being picky though.
Overall this is a lovely site and definitely value for money - the £15 per night included awnings, dogs, children and EHU. We would not hesitate to recommend this site.

Just got home after a very pleasant 4 night stay. Lovely well kept site, without any scenic views, but very private as there is planting in between pitches; we were on pitch 3 on the CL and it was great. Fencing divides the private part of the site from the CL, the CL is open all year, and the private parts (5 seasonal pitches and 5 touring pitches) are closed in winter. Every pitch is hard standing, and shares a bollard with EHU and fresh water. The site is flat, and it is a short walk to the immaculate toilet/shower blocks (with a laundry room), recycling, Elsan and grey water disposal. There are also a dog boarding kennels on site, however we did not hear any dog related noise. At the entrance, reception is also a handy shop, stocking basic essentials, but also wine, beer, and caravan accessories, however there were no site information leaflets available.
If you approach from the A6, the last quarter of a mile or so is narrow, but passable with care, as we did see some large HGV's.
Our van has a status direction aerial, and we have freeview in our TV, and we got 70+ channels, and the picture was crisp an sharp. We camp in winter, but noted that EHU on the site is limited to 10Amps, although this limitation is not apparent until you arrive on site. We stayed on a CL last winter with 10 Amps and found on occasions our demand tripped the fuse, which is perplexing as we paid for an up-market van with all the creature comforts we want whilst looking out at snow and/or ice, in the warmth; only to find that on a 10 Amp site, we have to be very careful what we use whilst the ALDE is on, or burn a lot of gas. The fact should be stated on the CC website, and on the North View website.
The only irritation, was the number of times you have to press the water button whilst having a shower, I am all for saving warm water, but 6-7 seconds per press in a bit much. The price is £15. 00 per night, with or without awning, on the CL or the private part of the touring site. Dogs are welcome, and day kenneling is available at £5. 00 per day, however you have to supply all the bedding etc, and it is on a first come first served basis. There is a dog walk on site, but it is disappointingly small, and due to low fencing, only secure to small dogs. A nice site to relax on, we will go back.

Very nice and quaint site. It had small play park for small children but there was non on site while we were there, very clean toilet block nice but only one shower per sex. No pot wash but they had a laundry room. We would not go again because it seamed to cater for long term seasonal tourers, and was very clicky, but garstang is a nice place and some good shopping and nice pubs. It is handy for motorways and all of the fylde coast

We've been to this site many times over the last three years and have never found any reason to complain to the owners, who along with members of their family keep the whole site and its amenities clean and tidy. The owners are themselves caravanners so have built up the site accordingly eg, water, electric and ariel point with light 4mtrs or less away from each unit. When I last visited they were in the process of installing a child's slide to compliment the swings and trampoline for children's entertainment. For animal lovers the are 3? cats on site who are very friendly, Will we be going back? We've already booked a mid week break!

We have just come back from this site after spending a week here. Its a lovely very clean quiet site. We went with our 3 children although their was a little park and trampoline I didn't find it was really a site for children more your older clientèle! The site has its own hot tub that we took advantage of that was lovely and found £15 for an hour was reasonable. The site also has its own boarding kennels which I believe was a cost of £5 a day we didn't take advantage of that so cant comment on what they were like.

We have just spent 2 nights at North View on the CC part of the site. The pitches were large, well spaced and had shared bollard with electric, water & tv point. Boarding kennels on site, we left our dog for the day at a cost of £5. Took about 30 minutes into central Blackpool or Lytham. All amenities were clean, some toiletries provided in the toilet block. Very rural to get to & some of the roads were almost single track they were that narrow.
My daughter came with us & slept in the awning annex, I was woken by her frantic shouts at 2. 15am as a cat had got in the awning under the 'skirt' despite being well pegged. It was on her bed, it actually bit & scratched her, as she had tried to push it away. It took about 15 minutes to get the cat out, leaving my daughter scared to go to sleep in case it came back.

Just returned from north view caravan park & will certainly go back. Peaceful rural site, only the sound of birdsong. Owners very friendly & helpful.
Toilets & showers spotless. Dog walking area & play park for kids. Wee shop on site & hot tub for hire.
CL part has spacious pitches with electric, water & TV points. Bins not far away, altogether a delightful site. We stayed as a stop off to going further south & on return but have decided to return to this site & use it as a base to travel to Blackpool, Morcambe & the lakes. Lots of eating places within easy reach, also Garstang, a lovely little market town. The canals add a pretty backdrop.
Recommend Walling ice cream delish.
Also Beacon Fell national park not far away for a long dog walk.

Stayed here in March 2013, the road up to it can be a bit tricky. We had an incident where our towing mirror got smashed off by an on coming car that was going to fast for the road conditions, have some very close bends/narrow sections.
Got to the site, it is a very peaceful quite site ran by a very friendly family, the toilet block was very well kept. Ideal base for traveling around Lancashire, with links to Fleetwood, Preston and up to Morecombe

Quiet and somewhat remote site but what I like, there is a small shop on site. Friendly and welcoming owners, all hard standing pitches with EHU and water.
Toilet, shower and a laundry a big bonus on a CL and very clean.
Dog friendly with enclosed exercise area to let them have a run off the lead.
Picnic benches around the site and various children's toys.
the area is good for walkers, not far from Knott end and handy for fishing as there's a fishery next to the site
Would stay here again.

We've been twice already to this site, it's very clean and the facilities to a very good standard.
We enjoyed the bike ride to Garstang village and there is access onto the canal toe path as you enter the village which makes for a nice day out & picnic.
The site is well laid out with mains, water and an aerial connection available on all pitches,
For us its a nice and peaceful retreat for a weekend getaway, just make sure you have all you need in the winter months as a bike ride can be quite water quenching.
A great find and is on our return schedule for 2013
