First time visit to this site. It is not just a Caravan Club CL, but also has a small site with 10 pitches, so in total 15 pitches.
Unlike previous reviewers we were not allowed to pick our pitch, but were allocated one. Perhaps that was because it was half-term, and busy, although I'd have thought July would be a busy time too. It was on the CL part, which seemed to have more space, also with hedges between pitches, so we were quite happy with that.
Toiletblock very clean, soap, towels, even small bottles of shampoo provided. There is a heater, however, I don't think it was on all the time as it did not feel very warm inside, and it was quite cold outside! The shower was ok, but not a very strong flow at all, push-button operated. Shower temperature was warm enough every time I used it, although you have to be patient whilst it warms up. There is a notice to tell you that it runs off an immersion heater, and that, if you find the water to be cold, to either use the shower next tot he shop, or wait around 20 minutes. There is also a shower/WC/washbasin next to the shop, if the one in the ladies', or gents' is engaged.
At the time of our stay there seemed to be some work going on at the back of the site somewhere, we could hear the engine of something, not sure what. Other than that it was quiet.
The site is not near any town, at least not within walking distance. We cycle a lot, and when the weather was nice, cycled to Knott End, the cycling is very good, flat, and the minor roads are very quiet.
One thing their website does not state is that you have to leave by 11am on the day of departure. This is written on the receipt when you pay on arrival. We did ask whether it was possible to stay until about 12, or 12. 30. We were told that this was not a problem, BUT, it would cost £1 per hour.
In summary, this is a nice site, all hardstandings, which is useful in winter, although only the CL is open all year, the other site closes at the beginning of January, until March. Water next to the pitches is very useful too. There is a small shop which stocks lots of things you may run out of, or maybe forgot to bring!
The cost was £15 per night for 2 people/pitch, including EHU, perhaps a bit more expensive than most CLs, but it does have showers/WCs. However, I'm afraid that with only the 3 showers in total for 15 pitches, at busy times, there was sometimes a wait for a shower.

Only stayed the 1 night but really enjoyed it, lovely site, very well maintained and great set up, plenty of space between each pitch which was quite private, pitches fully serviced so no need to walk very far for your water etc(even got our tv working once we connected the tv booster cable - great)
Showers and toilets were very clean, did not use all facilities as we had our own facilities in the van but would have gladly used them if needed or if we had stayed longer.
On site shop selling the basics which was an added bonus.
Nice area for the dog to have a run around.
The owners were extremely friendly really lovely genuine people.
Would definitely go again and would highly recommend this site

We've just had our third stay at this very friendly and immaculate site. Spacious pitches with hard standing and power, water and Tv booster all within a few yards of each pitch.
Excellent toilet/shower block which was always kept spotlessly clean and tidy. A good little shop and a dog walking area.
This is a lovely location which makes an excellent starting point to visit the many attractions in the surrounding area.
This site is a gem.

Just got back from this site and it is a real hidden gem.
The owners are very friendly and laid back which made our break nice and relaxing.
We arrived and was told were to go and choose our own pitch. The site is through security barriers and down the dip were it opens up after the kennels. There is a small toilet block that was kept clean and tidy all week. The shower was not the most powerful in the world and the timer could do to be switched up a bit but the water was hot on all four days I used it.
The site has a small dog walk and each pitch has its own electric water and tv socket. We also had a picnic bench next to our larger than average pitch.
Great starting place for touring the Fylde coast and Lakes and the Trogh of Boland is just a short distance away. The Bellflower pub is at the end of the road (aprox 2 miles) and the food was excellent when we ate there mid week.
One downside is its a fair trek to Garstang by foot and you need a car to get about from the site.
All in all at £15 per night I found the site really enjoyable and excellent value for money and will be returning.

Found the site easily after reading previous posts, sat nav was spot on and we slowed approaching so didn't miss the entrance. We we welcomed warmly and allowed to chose which pitch of those vacant. Owner pointed us to the sunniest in the evening.
Site is OK for a brief stopover. Mens in new block has one urinal, one toilet, one shower and two sinks, not enough in my opinion. The rubbish and recycling points of which there were two. One was behind the small children's play area and access across grass. Hate to think about wasps and flies if the weather ever gets hot.

We have just had our maiden voyage in our new van conversion. This site is really nice, secluded and very quiet. We visited several sites before we had our van, and had a warm welcome to just look around.
One night only, but cannot fault it. Greeted warmly with lots of useful information, well stocked shop. Pitch even and hardstanding, only 10amps, but boosted TV reception, take an extension lead.
Nice little enclosed dog run ideal for my two dogs to be let off their leads.
Not going to mention the weather, British summer! Nothing to do with the lovely, friendly, clean and well tended site.
£15 a night, no charges for extras!

Stayed here for 4 nights in the worst of the summer weather. Torrential rain the whole time. The site owner was extremely helpful and even offered the use of his kennel shower for my dogs for free.
The pitches were spacious and the site well kept in spite of the weather. There was a small dog exercise area though other walking needed a car journey and our host recommended where to go.
Nice little shop on site selling all the basics and local produce. Garstang and the lovely Booths supermarket is only about 15 mins away. ( upmarket Waitrose!)
The showers and loo were kept spotlessly clean with toiletries provided. The only negative was that the water delivery to the shower was very slow so this could be improved for a better shower but I'm being picky! I appreciate this was good green economy but a nice hot shower is good especially when the weather is foul.
One we would use this site again when attending Blackpool dog show which was cancelled this year and the site was washed away!

This is a Caravan Club Certified site and is adjacent to an 10 pitch site all of which are located in a sheltered spot with good sized hardstand areas, each with their own water point, tv booster socket and electric hookup. It also has a shop selling basic essentials. There is also a washing machine and drying area which we made full use of and the site is easily accessible from the A6, though we made the classic mistake of being guided by the sat nav which took the long way round costing £1 to cross a toll bridge, much to my partner's disgust. The site isn't sign posted and we almost missed it and we're a bit dismayed to learn that it is located in a hollow, which explains why we couldn't see it from the road, but as it turned out this was a bonus as we had sunny weather for the 14 nights we stayed there as it was a sun trap. On arrival we were able to choose our own pitch and were slightly disappointed to see that the grass areas were quite squishy and full of mole hills. Grass cutting was done a few days later, but cuttings weren't lifted which made things look a bit messy, which proved a bit of a problem when disposing of rubbish as they are located in grass areas. Maybe in time to come a small footpath will be installed which will stop trailing cuttings into awning & caravan.
We have three gripes with this site.
1. Showers - Contained in a nice newly built toilet block which is bright and clean the showers are a let down. They are run of an immersion heater which gives of varying degrees of hot water & are controlled by the usual push button. The temp of the water was never the same even during the mid week period and the push button control appeared to be set at it's lowest setting and you almost had to keep one hand on the button to get a half decent shower. The lack of adjustment on the shower head, being almost vertical with no adjustment compounded the problem.
2. Lights - Having set up the van & awning we decided to shower before bedtime, the lights activated on entering the toilet block and went out during the shower leaving us in darkness. I later learned that my partner had tripped, knocking her head against the wash hand basin whilst getting out of the shower cubicle to reactivate sensor. The incident was reported the next day, but the problem still existed and can only assume no adjustment was possible.
3. Dish washing area - While it wasn't a major problem, we were surprised that there was no facility for washing dishes and the majority of people we spoke to we're likewise minded.
These gripes aside we enjoyed our stay. Weather was great, loads of sunshine, loads of wildlife and a very peaceful site. Will we visit again, probably, though it is not a site for long stays.

We have just returned from a 5 night stay at North View. On arrival we drove passed the entrance and had to reverse in the road, but luckily it is not a busy road. On arrival we were greeted by the owner who was very nice and helpful. He told us we could choose our own pitch and recommended the sunny ones. It was handy to have our own water, electric and aerial point.
The toilets were always clean, and although there was only 1 shower in the ladies and mens we were able to use the one at reception, although we never needed to. The hot water in the shower is on an emersion but we always had hot water. The area is really pretty, and close to the lakes, Blackpool and Lancaster. This site is small with only 15 pitches in total. The dog walking area was great for our dogs as it was fenced in and we could let the dogs off their leads.
We drove to Guys thatched hotel near the canal and had a lovely meal. As we have dogs we don't tend to eat out much. The people staying on the site were friendly, the owners were and you could tell they were proud as this site was very well maintained and clean. The owners have a cattery and dog kennels too, and there is a small shop selling essentials. There is a small playarea for children with a trampoline, but I think they would have to make their own entertainment.
Plenty of off road grassed areas. The waste points and bins are not far from the pitches. There is a boots and sainsburys in Garstang. I would say if you like small peaceful sites, then this is value for money at £15 p. N. With electric, and awning. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be going back.

Stayed here for 4 nights but wish we could have stayed longer, unfortunately we didn't realise how popular it was on a weekend and it was fully booked. We were greeted by the very helpful and informative son of the owners who showed us our pitch.
The hardstanding pitch was large enough to easily fit the car next to the van and/or a awning and the pitches either side not too close although we needed to enter the opposite pitch to reverse park comfortably. Those that arrived later had a more difficult park up although not overly so.
The toilet block was new, clean, well lit and warm - the ladies had 2 toilets and 1 shower although a further shower was available at reception. Water, TV ariel and EHU was close every point shared between 2 pitches.
Overall, the site is a lovely, quiet place to stay and a great base for visiting the surrounding area. The most local pub was being refurbed at our visit but I can more than recommend the T'owd Tithe Barn pub which is alongside the canal and we spent at least 2 of the evenings basking in the sunshine watching the ducks, barges and the world go by.
We'll definitely be back.
