As many others have, used this site as an overnight stop going South and returning North, extremely handy as very close to the A1. Booking in at reception is straight forward and as we were early we were advised to pitch where we liked. The site is nice and tidy and lots of facilities for its size including swimming pools, games room, children's play areas, Bar and Restaurant even a Pets Corner! We found the toilets etc to be clean and tidy and had no complaints whatsoever.
The Bar and Restaurant are a nice size and were busy whilst we were there, there is a good selection of food also but we can’t comment as we didn’t eat at the Restaurant although plenty were using it.
All in all a great little site that we would recommend as an overnight halt or a longer break, a little bit exposed as at the top of a small hillock but the views are pretty good to compensate.

Although a small site, the site is a perfect stop over on the way somewhere else.
The guys make you feel very welcome (We used in on our way down south and on the way back up). They remembered us and let us just carry on.
In the wet the site does get muddy - but then again we are caravaning so getting muddy is part of the fun (Isn't it ??)
A perfectly quiet site, not really much to do, the fishing is a bit sad, not even a bite (Not sure if the fish are in there ?). The pool according the to the kids is great
Overall exactly what we needed both times and always a warm welcome !

Our third time for using this quaint little site. Friendly atmosphere being owner managed. Grass pitches can be muddy particularly with so much traffic from one-nighters, but pleasantly set out. The pitch we chose for our two-night stay gave us good views over the rural landscape. Toilet/showers are unisex and dated, but very clean. We have never used the restaurant though it is probably more used by the users of the statics and other seasonal pitches in a separate location. The free wifi was not very good. Having done the Belgian WW1sites on a previous stay, this time we drove to Thiepval to see the memorial which remembers the 77, 000 missing on the Somme - very moving. Will definitely consider using the site again since you can be in Calais in just over an hour.

Reasonable enough location with level pitches, although nothing stands out as exceptional and the site was overpriced for what was on offer and incidentally, this was the only campsite we visited where we needed to bring our own loo paper. Showers were best described as average. Garbage was managed by having an area set aside for a number of overfull bins opposite the site reception building. No shops in the immediate vicinity although the bread van made a stop on site each morning apparently.
Myself and a couple of friends stayed here for the first night of our motorcycle tour in Europe and the fee for each man, tent and motorcycle was €17, which by comparison with the other 12 or so sites we stayed at whilst touring, was expensive. The average we found to be during our tour was €9 and we saw pricing for man, tent and motorcycle ranging from €23 to €6.
If it hadn't been for the foul weather and the fact we had been delayed in crossing due to problems the previous day in the Eurotunnel,

This campsite has some definite positives, but also quite a few negative points.
On the plus side, it has wonderful views, the pitches are grassy, level and easy to pitch onto, and the staff are welcoming. Arras was a lovely town to visit and we also went to the WWI site at Vimy Ridge which is well worth a visit.
There was a pleasant outdoor swimming pool, and also two playgrounds and numerous table tennis tables.
On the more negative side, the whole site had an air of being run down and in poor repair. One playground was right next to the animals which smelt dreadful - I know chickens and pigs don't have the best aroma, but they smelled as if they hadn't been cleaned out in quite some time. There was one toilet roll for the whole block and it frequently ran out - there were more toilets but they were a long way from the touring pitches. There was also no soap the whole time we were there.
Further more, I had been given a price by email that seemed to match with their website - however on arrival I was told that it was wrong and asked to pay half as much again if I wanted to stay, which made it a very expensive campsite indeed for what it had to offer.
Many people use this site as an overnight stop before Calais, and it is adequate for this or a short break, but I would really not want to stay here as a holiday destination.

Great site for visiting the war memorials etc. Also good stopover on your way to or from the ferry/tunnel. Facilities were good if well used as it is busy with people coming and going. Site was accessible from 7am till 10pm. Site well kept with pretty flower borders next to the pitches. High site with good views.

We have stayed at this site several times, at least once a year since 2009, in my parents' mobile home, in a rented mobile home and in our own tent (Cabanon Athena).
It is in a very rural location, on a farm. The local hamlet of Boiry Notre Dame has no shops or bars but there a few supermarkets within a short drive and the nearest town, Arras, is very charming.
It is a convenient stopover, about 1 1/2 hours drive from Calais, well-signposted and easy to find. There's probably no need to book because there seems to be spare fields available for overflow camping - the only issue would be a slightly longer trek to the facilities.
The site is used mainly as a stopover en route to the South and by families (all French I think) who come here regularly every year to stay in their mobile homes or caravans, and seem to all know each other.
This gives the site a very friendly, family-orientated atmosphere.
The only group who would probably not like coming here for more than a couple of nights are teenagers who aren't regular visitors and therefore might find it hard to make new friends and wouldn't find much to keep themselves amused.
We use it as an opportunity for my family, some far-flung, to meet up in the summer and it's perfect for us.
Activities: 2 good children's playgrounds; small fishing lake; some animals eg a pig; small swimming pool; boules, including a competition; bar ( friendly and sometimes quite lively), restaurant (good value with a buffet), billiards etc; bouncy castle.
Loos: unisex, 2 blocks, one by reception, one by swimming pool - kept clean, quite a lot of modernisation and refurbishment of these since our first visit in 2009.
Showers a bit of a let-down - clean and modern but weak and hot water variable.
The owners are lovely and friendly and make you feel very welcome and at home. We love going there and will be there for a week again this August, just relaxing and enjoying the peace and quiet, whatever the weather.

Stayed for 4 nights at the beginning of July 2013. We arrived about 15:00 and the site was almost empty, by 18:00 it was crammed full of overnighters mainly Dutch. By 10:00 the next morning the site was almost empty again, this happened every day so make sure you arrive early! The site is mostly open plan with a few plots with more privacy. Didn't use the restaurant but the pool was ample for the size of site. Could do with more water taps around the site. Really handy for Arras, Cambrai and other Great War sites if your into that sort of thing (which I am). Reception very good and it was easy to book in. Will definitely use again.

What a great find! Brilliant location - far enough from the ports to be French, near enough to stop off before heading home.
Lovely big site, very clean and tidy. Lovely, lovely staff.
We had been on the road for 2 days and the kids were starving. We went to the restaurant for dinner. The kids ate very respectable meals but were still hungry. They asked for more and we allowed to help themselves to the buffet.
The food on the menu was a bit basic, but this was more than made up for by the buffet veg. Very french and very lovely. Never been so happy to eat cauliflower.
The owners of the site were very chatty and nice. There is a nice pool.
We had time to spare before leaving for the boat, we asked what time we had to leave and they were very flexible. We didn't leave until 4 in the afternoon in the end. Made our last day very pleasant (had been away for a month around Europe).

We stayed two nights at the end of our four week trip/tour round France. It is very convenient for a departure from Dunkirk at mid-day. A great camp-site with clean toilet/shower facilities. We did not use the pool nor ate here. Good Wifi signal within 100 metres of reception. Excellent location for a trip into Arras or to visit many of the WW1 sites/sights. Particularly worthy was the trip to Vimy Ridge memorial which was hosted by Canadian students on work experience placement and sponsored by Canadian government. Would stay again and recommend to others.
