*Remember your anti-mosquito spray!
We stayed here for two nights to visit Paris en route to the south west of France.
I would describe it as an adequate site but you would only stay here as an overnight stop, or to visit Paris, which is extremely easy - the train goes straight to the Eiffel Tower in about 30mins. The station is about a 10min walk from the site, even with two stroppy children in tow.
The facilities were dated and limited in number - we often had to wait for a toilet. The showers got you clean but were small (which is a bit of a drag if you are trying to shower your children), and tended to spray your towels etc hanging in the cubicle.
The on-site food was nice - an insouciant French chef cooking grilled meat, salad and frites to order from 6pm to 10pm.
You can also order croissants etc in the evening for your breakfast.
Staff were very nice and helpful.
One other thing for caravanners - the pitches are separated by a narrow road, and I noticed people struggling to park their vans as there wasn't much space to reverse into the pitch so you car did not hit the unit in front. One chap with a remote control for his van had an easier time of it!

Stayed just the one night en route for Loire valley. Adequate, clean and tidy only problem was the mozzies in the evening, I was eaten alive by the wretched things while putting up a tent for the kids and came out in hideous hives which affected me for the remainder of our two week holiday. Sought help from pharmacie who gave me some hydro-cortizone cream which helped greatly.
Not a fault of the site and god knows there are enough comments about the mozzies on this site but be warned, for about 1/2 hour or so each evening get the citronella out and slap on some repellent.
Great site for visiting Paris and Versailles, good value for money.

Stayed at this site for 2 out of 3 nights, for the purpose of visiting Paris. It was good for exactly that. 10 minutes walk to station and direct train to the metro.
I have been a camper for about 20 years and never have stayed at a site that dog owners allow their dogs to foul and not it pick up, toilets had blood smeared across the toilet floor, campers placed on every small bit of grass, even 3 pitches by the toilet blocks were used up.
Our pitch was large, but had broken/wobbly tiles across the middle of it and I didn;t see the point in complaining as they were full.
As with other reviews, the MOZZIES were awful, use some effective repellent.
There was a bar there, but we didn't realise until it was closed.
The staff were polite, but the location and politeness of staff will not get me back to this site, I am afraid.

This site does exactly what it says on the tin. A great site for visiting Paris and Versailles, 10 minute walk to the station, return to Paris for under 10 Euros, Admittedly the bar shut at 10 when the barman knocked off early but we didn't care. Cheap, cheerful and free wi-fi for the teenager. The only problem was mosquitos but I guess that is not the sites fault. Facilities clean and water hot. Would use again

Just got back after seven nights here in my tent and thought it was great considering it was my first trip to France camping. The staff speak great English which was a bonus and give you full details of anything you need to know eg location of shops, train stations etc. All are within a few minutes walk of the site.
The games room was ok and kept the kids happy for the times they got a little bored, its located at the side of the reception which the bar is also located next to. A big bonus at the reception is that you can order bread and croissants every morning to be delivered fresh from the local bakery. There are two toilet/shower blocks at each end of the site which were always cleaned every morning and kept tidy.
The train station into Paris is a 10 minute walk away and drops you right into the heart of the city (they also speak great English at the information desk too). The best place near the campsite to shop we found was 10 mins in the car to the shopping centre which was very reasonable.
Pitches are very big with modern hookups so no need for any adapters which was a bonus only drawback on our pitch was the bit of gravel pitch which was murder on the tent pegs :( apart from the mosquitoes which come out in the early evening I had no problems at all and would definitely return. Really helpful and a relaxing time. One more thing the kids playground was great too when I needed the burn there batteries down :)

Nice site with large, level pitches. About 10 minutes walk to the railway station with frequent trains to Paris; journey time of approx. 20 minutes; fare approx 9 euros return. Clean toilets, showers and washing up areas. Free wifi. Helpful, friendly, pleasant staff. Quiet area. Large supermarket approx. 5 minutes drive. Area (not just campsite) affected by biting insects at dusk, but these disappeared as soon as it was dark and didn't cause a problem during the night. Found these to be a minor irritation only and insect repellent did the trick. Would go back if visiting Paris again.

We stayed for 1 night on the way to South of France and for 1 night on the way back.
The first night we were given a pitch that was riddled with stones and surface level tree roots. It was used by a camper van while we were there the second time and was only suitable for that really. It was Sunday and they had run out of pretty much everything - cola ice lollies anyone?
The free wifi is for 1 hour only and you need to be at the bar/reception area.
Washing facilities were adequate only and take your own loo roll.
On our stay on the way back, we were eaten alive by mozzies - at least 20 bites each, having dived for cover and sealed up the tent as best we could. 2 of the 5 of us have had very nasty reactions to these bites. I'm not sure what's going on there as we camped in Languedoc by a river for the best part of a fortnight with no bites at all.

Booked the last two nights of our holiday into this lovely campsite so that we could have a day in Paris sightseeing before our journey home. We were very pleasantly surprised by this very clean, well run and quiet campsite which proved to be a perfect base for sightseeing in Paris and very reasonably priced too. The staff are all very helpful and friendly and you can order your breakfast of croissants and baguettes at reception the evening before for collection in the morning. Based in a very pleasant suburb of Paris we found the campsite to be safe and secure and we would have no hesitation in recommending it.

We visited this site in July after looking at the reviews on here.
I must say that we were disappointed in the site. We had explained on enquiring that we had a very large trailer tent (Cabanon Stratos) and on arrival were allocated a pitch which our 3 man tent would have struggled with. We were then shown various plots which were totally unsuitable, either by size or visible tree roots. The fifth plot was just about big enough and we were allowed to camp there. As it was late, and we were tired after taking down and travelling from the Dordogne that morning, we only put the sleeping quarters up (to put the large awning up the following day). He came to have a look later and basically accused us of lying about the size. We never saw him again once the whole tent was set up and we were there for a week.
Facilities were OK but what upset us was that the nearest toilet/shower block was shut at 7. 45 until 8 50 for cleaning. Having been camping for almost 20 years all over UK and France I have never known toilet blocks to be closed at the time most people would want to use them. The man who cleaned them tried to shoo you out before you even had time to wash your hands. The main block was quite a way away and too far for me to walk with knee problems. We never tried the bar as it was locked for the first half of the week. There was no shop or restaurant, only a ‘burger van’ which we had food from the first night as we were tired. It was OK but not what I go to France to eat. There was nowhere within easy walking distance near to buy bread etc.
Lots of the plots seemed to belong to weekend ‘residents’ who arrive on Friday and leave on Sunday to stay at their ‘fixed pitched caravans’ (not statics). Some had locked gates and proper paths and gardens, complete with wooden sheds along side their caravans on their pitches.
We were unfortunate in that repairs were being carried out on the RER so it only went to Gare d’Austerlitz then you had to have a bus as far as Les Invalides, many metro stations were closed for repair, so we sailed straight through when we wanted to get off and had to find alternative ways. The nearby boulangerie closed for holidays on the Wednesday, so we found another one which was also closed! To top it all the weather was poor – we had much better weather in Paris in February 2009 than in August 2011.
This campsite is convenient for the RER into Paris, but I wouldn't say it was as good as the beautiful 3* site we go to in the Dordogne and return to year after year.

We booked this site for it's proximity to Paris, particularly ease of public transport to Paris, and also because we could book it at discounted low season rate through ACSI.
We did not have satnav and I must admit it took us a good while to find it. When we finally did, we entered through a barrier gate by reception. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were given a guest keytag 'thingy' to allow us in through the barrier rather than reception having to raise it for us once booked in. There was lots of information available for the local area in reception. The local village had some nice little shops, bakery etc but it is up a very steep hill if you want to walk.
Most pitches are separated by hedges, a few are not. The main facilities are near reception. Bar/cafe/games room/washing facilities. There is free wifi around the bar area. The facilities were clean and hot showers free and readily available and no tokens required. There are not very many toilets and showers in the main block and I did find I had to queue for a shower most days. The toilets in this block did not have seats and you need to take loo roll with you. The facilities block at the end of the campsite (to the very right as you face reception etc) was actually much nicer than the main block and I only found it by accident on the last day.
The staff were incredibly helpful here. Once when the washing machine stopped working mid-wash, full of half our clothes and towels and also when planning to get to Paris for the day. One of them kindly even gave me her own train timetable out of her bag when I was enquiring about train times.
To get into Paris, Sainte Geneviève des Bois station is a fairly short walk away, though a good portion of the walk to the station is uphill. There is a ticket machine outside the station which was easy to navigate and purchase tickets and can take you right to the centre of Paris, in our case just by Notre Dame. Also, Chateau de Versailles is easily accessible from the campsite by car, though be aware of the amount of traffic on the main roads around Paris. Though it is a fairly short distance it can take an age so try to leave quite early in the morning, not only to avoid the traffic but to beat the *massive* queues at Versailles.
There are pros and cons regarding wildlife at the campsite. We were often visited in the night by a curious hedgehog which was very sweet but kept burrowing into the bin bag so we had to keep the rubbish bag on the bonnet of the car every night or the contents would be strewn across the pitch in the morning! Since the site is by a river and there are lots of trees there's a lot of lovely birds too (there were actually 2 green parakeets flying around every day).
The MAJOR problem was the mosquitoes. We hadn't realised the first night and had slept with the inner tent unzipped as it was so hot and then woke up in the morning with bites. After that even with strong bug spray, citronella candles, long trouser/sleeves etc. We were bitten very badly. The mozzys were huge and seemingly quite fearless!
We would visit again, but perhaps only with tropical strength bug repellent. (Two adults, tent & car)
