We were looking for a secure campsite convenient for visiting Paris and were extremely happy with our choice of Camping Le Beau Village.
The owner was very helpful & friendly, but one should note that the reception is only open between 9-1noon & 5-8pm.
The Yellow RER line (Ste. Genevieve Des Bois Stn) is a convenient though uphill 15min walk away; single tickets to Eiffel Tower were 4.20E & took about 35mins. Carnets of Metro tickets for travel around central Paris can also be bought from the station counter, where service can at times be slow, though tickets can also be bought from machines & in English!). Return trains run regularly until after midnight - get a timetable from the station & destination to look for is either: 'St Martin D'Etampes ' or 'Dourdan La Foret'.
Outside the station on the campsite side, are two bars; one a traditional bar tabac open during the day and another is a late night reasonably priced, locals' bar open well into the night in case you fancy a last drink before returning to the campsite.
The site is very secure with an electronic locked gate if returning on foot after 10pm. Furthermore, the site is surrounded by a middle-class commuter-belt housing estate which added to one's peace of mind. On the site itself, there appears to be a community atmosphere amongst the owners of the static caravans, whom I would imagine would keep an eye out in the unlikely event of anything untoward.
The toilet blocks were almost tropically heated & well-maintained. Pitches are pleasant, flat & grassed. At night it is very quiet, with the occasional rumble of trains in the distance.
There is an excellent family-run boulangerie in the village less than ten mins walk (closed on Wednesdays except for baguettes), up another hill directly opposite the entrance to the site, but perhaps follow the road signs to the boulangerie rather than the warren of paths where you might at first get lost. On the same street as the baker is a small supermarket open from 8.30am, when we visited.
There is a small Campsite bar and restaurant menu, but we never had time to use it as we were always out in Paris, except for coming back to sleep!
All in all, I would highly recommend this very reasonably priced, clean & well-run campsite for anyone who wants a convenient base for exploring the sights of Paris.

We stayed here for 2 nights on our road trip of france and found it to be a very peaceful and pleasant site.
Our pitch had both electric and water and all pitches are nice and level.
We did have a bit of trouble finding the site as there are two streets with the same name furthermore both have a train station and a Renault garage on them!
However once we had found it we were very pleased we had chosen it.
Internet is available for 40 mins free of charge the showers/toilets were kept very clean though don't forget to pack your own toilet roll as they are not provided.
Just behind the site is a park and woodland with very good pathways and cycle tracks that stretch for miles, we spent a couple of hours cycling round and could have spent a lot longer as there is so much to see.
A lovely site ideal for visiting paris and only an hour from eurodisney.

We stayed for 2 nights on this very nice campsite. The children really enjoyed cycling around the paths of the site.
Toilets are clean, but no toilet paper (as is common) and they are unisex. The showers are nice and hot & there are good washing-up facilities.
There is a park just outside the site with good cycle trails & bridges over the river. The railway station with fast trains into Paris is a short walk away. There is also a huge Carrefour & shopping centre a couple of miles away.
The only problem with this site was that there were a lot of mosquitoes that come out at dusk (they disappear when it’s dark) We were severely bitten & there doesn’t seem to be any bug repellent available in the local shops.
We would be happy to return to this site – but only with bug spray.

Have to agree with the comments from Nairn; We (3 adults and a 10 year old) spent 4 nights here commuting to Paris each day. I eventually twigged the trains which were frequent from Saint Genevieve des Bois into Gare d'Austerlitz costing 6.50 euros return.
We'd stayed in Bois de Boulogne in the past but fancied a (quieter) change. The Boulangerie was close enough to pop out before breakfast (open 7.30am) and the nearby general store was handy for other stuff.
All the staff were helpful: On one occasion I queried my train tickets and one of the site guys jumped in his car and went to the train station on my behalf to confirm their validity. I'd revisit without a doubt.

Stayed here for 2 nights on the way back from the south of France so that we could 'do' Paris for one day.
I was very pleased with the site, a very pleasant chap welcomed us and booked us in. He spoke very good English and walked us to a choice of pitches which were a good size and a mixture of grass and hardstanding.
The lanes in the site were a little 'tight' so our caravan mover helped a great deal.
We took the nearby train to Paris, and got good advice from reception regarding where to get off the train, costs etc. There is a huge car park at the station, so you don't have to walk (although it's not far).
The facilities were good and clean, the campsite was very quiet. There is a bar and games room, although we did not use either. There is an immense Carrefour hyper-market with 5 minutes drive, along with KFC, McDonalds, Buffalo Grill etc. (if you feel the need).
I'd recommend this site to anyone who wants to visit Paris as we were climbing up the Tour Eiffel within 45 of getting on the train!

Reserved a pitch over the internet by email. No problems. Welcomed to the site by the owners, very friendly and they speak English well. The site itself will not win manicured lawn of the year award but it is tidy and clean. The site is under video surveillance for security and was generally quiet when we visited. There are three toilet blocks, again also very clean, English toilets and showers of the push button type. How warm they are seems to depend on the time of day.
There are a mixture of cabins and permanently sited caravans. The pitches, of a good size, some hardstandings, are spread out amongst them.
The site itself is about 700 metres from the centre of the village, which contains a boulongerie / patisserie and a handy mini supermarket.
There is a children's play area and boules court on site.
St Genevieve Du Bois station for getting into Paris is about 12 minutes stroll away, through the park, with a very good frequent service into Paris, 8.40 Euros return. Some of the trains actually stop a Musee d'Orsay - a must for art lovers. Once into Paris the metro is the way to get around.
We enjoyed our stay here and will return again.
