Stayed here by special agreement in a caravan as part of a rally (we hired the whole site)

The small site is split into 3 areas. 1 flat camping area, 1 flat area with hookup, and 1 area on a slope.

The weather had been bad for a week or so before hand, we found the hookup area very soft underfoot, and we had to take steps to prevent our van from sinking in. The site was also very wind swept due to the funnelling effect of the valley so we had to use our storm straps on the awning. Others in larger tents had problems with this too.

Having said that, I cannot really fault the site. The owners bent over backwards to be helpful.

They have a nice unsupervised heated indoor swimming pool

And they offer campers a cooked breakfast at a very reasonable rate.

Washroom still needs some work to bring the standard up, but it was always warm, clean and stocked.

Would we use them again. Yes.

This was the second year that friends and I camped here. The small size of the site suits us well, and even though it was quite full this year, there was never a feeling of being overcrowded - nor were we disturbed by other campers. The swimming pool on site is a real bonus.

There is generally a lovely atmosphere here and if we come to Wales again we would be happy to return to this site.

It would be great in the future to see the shower and toilet block having a bit of renovation and updating and perhaps another shower or two installed, as one shower each for men and women is not really enough for the 16 tents/units that the site can take.

Having said that, we were never queueing for too long and we feel that the benefits of the site outweighed this.

We spent 3 nights on this site over the weekend; it’s a lovely little site with good facilities. We had our 13 month old son with us who loved his first camping trip.

Betws Y Coed and Bala are easy to get to from here and there is a little shop just up the road.

The toilets were clean but there was only one shower being a small site we were lucky we never had to wait for a wash. There is a fridge freezer and dishwashing point which is undercover with hot water. The site is very green, with plenty of recycling bins. There is a indoor pool which was very clean and great for a cool off on a hot day.

We selected a pitch a little close to the main road (A5) which was a little noisy at night but it was our fault not the sites. I would use this site again in the future.

This is a fantastic campsite which a group of us have camped at for the last four years. The toilets and shower block have been in development for the previous couple of years and are now finished, they are clean and well maintained.

There are also fridge and freezer facilities and an indoor washing up sink for campers. There is an indoor pool which is only small but is perfect for a relaxing swim after a day out in north wales.

The best thing about this campsite is the owners and their son, they are pleasant, welcoming and more than happy to help with anything from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave.

A truly beautiful site with stunning views over the valley and Snowdonia mountains in the far background. Fields with cows and sheep surround the campsite and chickens roam freely around the campsite much to the amusement of our kids!

The owners were extremely helpful and couldn't do enough for us. They even turned on the TV on the Saturday night for the men to watch a football final! There is a fridge and freezer for campers to use which is great. There is also a BBQ area where you can use your own coals and two lovely big tables that seat eight people each. The site even has a small, clean indoors pool which the kids spent hours in! There is also a pub within walking distance with reasonable prices and very friendly service.

We are experienced campers and this is definitely one of the best sites we've ever stayed at. The site is small and great if you want to kick back and relax, and we still had plenty of space for football, rugby and other outdoor games. Because it was small it was personal and we got friendly with the other campers who were all very nice and there was no noise at all in the campsite - apart from the sheep and cockerel starting at 5am! Still, it all added to the charm of the campsite which comes highly recommended all in all!

From the moment of arrival to the time of departure the staff were very helpful. Good amenities very peaceful area, will definitely be back soon.

The area was very secluded which made it peaceful at night, and the option of an open fire(to be organised and supplied by yourself) was very nice also. You must have a car as sites nearby are quite far away, but that is to be expected.

Overall a really impressive area, great scenery, a nice local pub down the road, and situated on the main a5, so easy to get where ever you need to go. Thanks for the great hospitality!

Definitely be back soon.

Perfect for those that want a quiet stay in very natural surroundings. Plenty of space with only a handful of pitches. Facilities are clean & functional, although there is only one shower for men and the same for women, because the site is small this never seems to be an issue, and queuing was never a problem for us.

The owners are exceptionally helpful and did a great job of looking after us and our 13 month old son. They have recently had chickens on site which we all found very entertaining, we enjoyed helping out with feeding time, using the breakfast scraps. I have to add there were very few scraps as the cooked breakfast available at the on site guest house was exceptionally good.

We would certainly use this site again, and would be happy to recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxed camping experience.

What a great site and the views of Snowdon from our pitch were lovely! On talking to other guests at the site who had returned for a second, even third visit, they informed us the facilities had been updated this year.

There was a small kitchen area complete with workspace, sink and a fridge freezer for campers usage open from 8am to 8pm daily. The pool was an added bonus as were the breakfasts each morning, at an extra small cost, however this did not bother us one bit as there was more than enough to keep us going until dinner time.

Just a little something extra to make it such a wonderful trip! Will definitely return again.

Mainly level ground, plenty of space between tents, nearby pub with good food and friendly staff. Facilities basic but clean, only 1 shower each, but no queues and there is showers in the swimming pool area.

The guest house serves a breakfast (although we didn't sample it)but it seemed popular and other people said it was nice, as were the owners. Only one downside noisy sheep! A lovely site, well worth a visit.

Just back from our first ever camping trip, great site, very pleasant and friendly owners, toilets / shower were basic but clean. On site pool was a big bonus.

Everything was as described on the website, pitches well spaced out and about half were level and half on a slight incline. Nearby pub had excellent beer and OK food. Kids loved it and we will be back again this season.

Only one minor criticism is that the bins could have been bigger and be covered, although great to see the recycling efforts made on a campsite.
