Lovely site with 3 large fields and gorgeous views, but spoiled by noisy groups of multiple families. Went home early as a result. Shame the site has a 'free for all' policy on its largest field with the best views, yet also insists camping only takes place around the edge. Result is people are crammed too close together. It would be better to limit numbers and allow people to spread out. The lower level pitches do have a slope to them too.
In high season, if you are looking for peace and tranquillity whilst taking in the beautiful sunsets, look elsewhere.
Location wise its only 15 min walk to the Skomer Ferry, and the Lobster Pot pub in Marloes is handy for the usual pub fare.
Toilets and facilities I would describe as average. Seen better but there are worse. Like most places you'll probably have to queue up at peak times in high season for a shower.
Beware of the single track roads - many skid marks suggest danger and irresponsible driving. Large campervans will need patience and skill to get through.

Hello. This review is mainly coming from a motorcyclist standpoint. The site is beautiful I decided on stopping on the estuary. There are two showers by the reception which is a fair walk up hill from the estuary so if you have any disabilities be mindeful of this fact. Very clean and outside is a shop with a honesty box which is well stocked with essentials.
I was greeted and given a map. Now motorcyclists who are a bit cautious and fully laden with kit it's steep single track down to car park. There is a car park to left and right it's is gravely and off camber the one on right is a a little better but if you have short side stand be aware !
You then have a wheel barrow to transport your kit to site. It's a bit bumpy and mainly downhill but not to bad. I had choice of plot as it wasn't busy and the view is stunning and you can have a campfire which I unfortunately didn't get around too. Little further up track there is a compost loo with a beautiful view and water and outside sink. I was only on site less than 3 days and took advantage of trail that is adjacent to the campsite to go to Barmouth.
On day of leaving it wasn't great as a motorbike humid weather and having to get kit back up Holland as I didn't want my bike fully laden on camber of car park I had to get it right to top with mix of wheel barrow and straps for panniers. On a sports bike I'd have probably enjoyed the experience even less and if the trail had been wet I'd have been more nervous.
There is a transport of luggage service you have to book day before that has restricted times and as I was out all day I missed it. And I wanted to make tracks early. So after losing a stone In fluid loss moving kit which added to adventure but I could have done without.
As a motorcyclist even though the campsite is lovely If id have known-maybe I wouldn't have chosen this site yes car but not bike. And ten pound for the pleasure of parking on off camber gritty parking space added onto the cost which for a motorbike is not great. I did query, but got no reply. So wanted motorcyclists be aware some of you will take it in your stride but others may not :)
I'd return in car and don't forget insect repellabts as midges are troublesome

Backpacking from Dale to Martins Haven we stopped here.
Lovely site, cracking views across to Newgale Sands. Toilets and showers all clean, toilet block looked fairly new with hot air dryers and soap dispensers. There was also a barn (containing chairs, tables, fridges and a microwave) which was a godsend when packing up the following day in the pouring rain.
Site was quiet the first week of July and cost £14 for the two of us.
Only caveat is that site is 2 miles from the nearest pub and shop (Marloes) which might be a concern :- we were hiking & self sufficient so didn't bother us.
I've not rated child friendliness but as it's a collection of large fields I would imagine it's OK.
Happily stay here again if walking through.
Cheers
Dave

This is a great site if your into walking kayaking and the wildlife, its just magic, this my 7th time here.
The campsite is large, flat at the top, with a slight slope down to fencing, which is where I always put my tent.
The toilets and showers are always clean, with very friendly camp owners.
May and June are my favourite times camping here, its ideal for kayaking over too and around Skomer, St Brites Bay, watching the marine wildlife(Dolphins Seals and if your really luck Basking sharks) plus the bird life, puffins other sea birds, and in the kayak at night the Manx shearwaters. Be very careful between the main land and Skomer the tides can be very fast, there always the ferry over to Skomer in the morning.
The Pembroke coastal path is next to the site with great sea views from the path and camp site
Its a lovely peaceful site and place

This is a wonderful site in a beautiful position, right on the Pembrokeshire coastal path. I stayed for 10 days in a tent then family joined me and I spent another 10 days in a caravan. The pitches are truly spacious and are situated around the edge of the field, leaving loads of space for games in the middle of the fields.
Toilet and shower blocks are quite basic, 50 p for lovely hot showers and hot water only available between 7am- 10am and 6pm-10pm but this was absolutely fine. Lovely and clean at all times even though the site was quite busy.
No electric hook up for caravans but batteries can be charged in one of the barns. Phone and laptop batteries can be charged in the farmhouse for 50p. There are loads of fridges and freezers for use in a barn and tables and chairs for use in unfavourable weather.
The farmer, Robert and his wife are so helpful in any situation and were always willing to bend over backwards to help.
Nearby Marloes sands, about an hours walk or 10 min drive, is the best beach I have been to and Martins Haven, a small stony beach 10 min walk along the coast path is beautiful. Boats leave from here daily to the nearby Skomer Island.
All in all a perfect site, all credit to the owners and their family.

Massive field with units just around the edge so felt very spacious. Flat at the top so parked there. Superb views over the bay. Even though it was school holidays and there were 3 fields of campers it never felt busy or crowded and no waits for facilities.

I almost don't want to write this review as it might make others discover this gem. The views are to die for and worth the long drive for that alone. It's spacious and great if you're travelling with a group as you can all set up camp near each other.
The showers are quite basic, but fine. There is also a barn where people can gather indoors should the elements require that. You can also use the fridges and freezers in this area for ice blocks and other items that need keeping cool. There are no electric hook-ups, so keep that in mind.

This is a great campsite. We visited in 2008 and decided to come back this year. Nothing much has changed though the showers have been refurbished. It is as lovely as ever! Everything you need for easy camping is here - good washing up facilities, toilets, showers etc.
Being able to use the freezers in the barn for ice blocks is a great advantage.
The owners are friendly and very helpful and available for advice about the area.
We had a great pitch at the top of the second field, with views down to St Bride's Bay. Quite a few people were there but it did not feel too busy and is very quiet at night.
We did have four days of very good weather, and then some rain, and dry with cloud.
One of the best campsites we have been to - we will be back!

Excellent site, owners very amicable and helpful. Wonderful views over the Bay, wildlife is tremendous, a biggish site but didn't feel crowded. Sunsets incredible, can be very strong winds coming in off the sea so take extra woollies and tent pegs. So close to Milford Haven oil refineries but no sign of pollution or industrial activities apart from oil tankers lying at anchor in the Bay, beautiful sight when lit up in the evening. Close to Marloe Sands, a great beach, fabulous cliff walks all around. If you like the sort of site with a pub and chip shop don't bother; if you like to be in nature you'll adore it. Toilets and showers clean, may need modernising soon.

If you are in the area, then you must visit Skomer Island and if you are camping, this is the place to stay. There are glorious views from a gently sloping site. Facilities are basic but clean. There are no electric hook ups and no shop but everything else you need. Having said that, we had perfect weather and that makes all the difference.
