The site is just off the A5, but is well signed, so you don't miss the entrance.
I was with a group of friends, several who had arrived before me, so they arranged to show me where my pitch was.
My stay was in a Folding Camper, with Electrics, which cost £16 per night.
The River Severn runs next to the site, and my pitch was next to the bank. Which meant, I had a fantastic view of the River and the wildlife
There is a gate to the camping fields, which is kept closed at all times.
The only downside to the site, was the steep concrete path leading up to the toilet/shower block. Access directly of the grassed field. This would make things awkward for anyone in a wheelchair accessing the Disabled facilities.
The toilets are maintained to a very high standard, and kept spotless, given that it is a Farm Site, a few multi legged occupants are to be expected. Rather unusually the access door to the Ladies facilities is through the Wash Up room, again which is kept spotless, and had a fridge freezer as part of the facilities.
Throughout our stay, the owners every time they saw us, checked to make sure everything was ok
Because of the issue of access for Disabled persons (I'm a full time carer for my Spouse, so more aware of access issues) is why I gave a rating of 9/10. The site in all other aspects, truly meet my expectations, on arrival and during my stay.
If I was to visit the area again, I would happily stay on the site

Stayed first week of sept. Very friendly welcome. We were shown to our pitch at the side of the river. Shower and toilets clean, but quite a few daddy long legs which can't be helped. There was a big field to let the dog off the lead and have a run. We found the site quiet and close to the A5 which we seemed to go on every day to get where we wanted to go. The only nitpicking would be the flower bed near the toilet block which was untidy, but that's just being fussy. Our best trip out was to Cosgrove air museum.

Nice site if you don't mind listening to a nearby bike scrambling track on the other side of the river. Lovely and peaceful when it finishes bout 4-30pm. Really nice food at Wing field arms pub just across the river. Very large portions! Ladies loos n showers nice n clean but my partner had a few eight legged friends in his!

A lovely quiet site next to the river with friendly owners and reasonable rates. Clean facilities checked on a regular basis and a local bus running every half hour to Shrewsbury. The Wingfield Arms is only a few minutes walk away, serving good food and providing a play area for children.

Spent three nights here early June to go to the VW & hot rod show in Shrewsbury. We pitch by the apple trees and at night just before dust there was a few bats about that was good to look at. In the day lots of birds too. Showers and toilets clean. The site sold milk eggs bottle water cans of Coke all a very good price. The Pub over the road was ok with a good play ground for the kids.
Food I leave that up to you. Chips homemade but hard. The site very easy to find just of the A5 so a little bit of road noise but not that load.

We stayed for one night at this lovely site and it was very impressive!
- The toilet blocks, washing up facilities and showers were all very good.
- The site is right by the river and the morning view was beautiful.
- There is a little dog run / walk to the riverside. Although it isn't very long, it was nice to go 'exploring' with our three year old.
- apart from some roadside noise (which you couldn't hear by bedtime), it was very peaceful.
All in all, a lovely site!

Upon arrival we received a friendly greeting and were shown to our pitch She was very helpful. The pitches are big and feel very open and we were next to the river. We were worried about midges but we never got a bite. The washrooms are small, one shower per sex, and up a steep incline. There are washing up and chemical disposal areas. The site is very pleasant by the river but you need a car to go anywhere, we used the park and ride fifteen minutes by car. There were large groups of tents and vans so I guess this is a well revisited site. Excellent value for money. Would I return no. Just not for us Too far to walk anywhere have to use the car.

First impressions count for a lot and the staff at Severn House welcomed us well and gave us a tour of the site while walking us to our pitch.
The facilities are good; one sink for washing up, and one shower for ladies and one for men. Despite this even when the site was full we didn't have and long queues.
Great site for fishermen and canoers. Although in nearly a week no one around seemed to catch any fish!
All in all this a lovely, simple and popular site.
We will return!

We spent a very wet weekend here, this was down to the severe rainstorm that we had the week leading up to it.
I had been in regular touch with the owners (who were very courteous) as they had evacuated everyone off their site including the seasonals. We were told that the river had started to recede and that we could still have a pitch for the weekend but it would be hardstanding as they were not allowing anyone on the grass pitches ( I had asked for hardstanding anyway). There was only 4 of them but these were fine according to them so we took the gamble and went.
When we were showed to our 'pitch' I was extremely disappointed - the so-called hardstanding was a bit of gravel/hardcore thrown onto an area of grass that was not marked out. We had explained that we were putting up an awning but god knows where they thought we were going to erect it as there was clearly no space for it when we were shown where to put our van. We only have a standard awning! Eventually we were allowed to put the van on the so-called pitch in a way that we could put up the awning. The pitch was very uneven and to be honest if I known what it was going to be like before we went I would have booked somewhere else.
The toilets were of a basic standard but very clean. The washing up area was in the ladies side of the toilet block.
Although I was quite let down about the site, I think the owners and the location are spot on. I doubt I would use the site again as I could get a better site for the price we were charged, but I am a firm believer that you have to try something once and although this is a good site for one it might not be for others.

What a find! We stayed as a group of 9 people in 2 caravans, 2 tents and a VW camper. OK the weather could have been better especially when taking the awning down but we had a great time.
The site is very easy to access and on arrival the owners were very quick to direct us to our pitches.
The two caravans had pitches along the river and the others were just across the track so we were kept together as a group.
The facilities were more than adequate and always clean. There is a fridge for everyones use in the indoor washing up area and also a supply of books to borrow.
We are already planning a return visit over 4 or 5 days to get a look at the surrounding area and Shrewsbury.
