If like me you have never been to a naturist site before then this is the one to go to. Jo & Mike could not have been more friendly and helpful which really put my mind at ease long before I even arrived. They have a very relaxed approach to life but will not tolerate any behaviour that would give the site a bad reputation. A really pleasant surprise was to be asked for photo id on arrival, what could make you feel more comfortable than knowing that your fellow campers were descent folk and children were safe.
This is a beautifully located site with stunning views over the estuary. There is ample room on site for naturist walks as well as sheltered lagoons for boating and swimming.
There are two shower and toilet blocks as well as indoor washing up facilities. The showers were always clean with plenty of hot water which is mainly solar & ground source heated. If you need to expend some energy there is a room full of books, board games, croquet set and tennis equipment for use on the sites own lawns. There is also kayak hire and escorted trips on the estuary or you could take your own. If the weather is unsettled and you don't want to be trapped in your tent/van there is a poly tunnel with seating and a pond.
As far as local facilities go you could not wish for more and still be away from it all at the same time. There is Castle Carew and pub 1. 5 miles away, a great pub 3 miles away that serves a traditional home cooked Sunday lunch (all fresh veg & proper roast spuds!)and for petrol, supermarkets, McDonalds, Argos and B&Q they are 3. 5 miles away just as you enter Pembroke Dock (good fish & chip shop there to).
I will have no hesitation in returning to this site as Jo & Mike do a fantastic job of keep everything very tidy which helps maintain a relaxed, safe and peaceful site.
Well done Jo & Mike, keep up the good work!

Just came back from excellent stay at TB. Countryside beautiful. Campsite wonderful, everybody we met were very friendly. Can only endorse the other reviews. Whole atmosphere very relaxed for naturists and others. We booked late so were unable to continue into the Bank Holiday weekend but never the less a highly recommended site. The Carew Inn deserves a mention too. Tenby is a delight. So much to see and do.

This is a fantastic naturist campsite situated in a stunning location with its own salt water tidal lagoon, a lovely way to cool off on a hot summers day ! The site is very well kept, all grass pitches with ehu are spacious and the toilet & shower facilities are kept very clean, the owners are a very friendly couple with a very large dog, we were given a full guided tour upon arrival and the choice of pitch ! The roads leading to the site are quite narrow (extremely so if approaching from Carrew Castle direction ! ) If I had to pick a fault it would be the electric hook up was of a very low amperage and kept tripping even when only using the kettle ! All in all it's a great place with nice people we will return

This was our first visit to the campsite and the photos on this website don't do it justice as this is a fantastic campsite in every way. Couple who run the site are so helpful and friendly. We booked a week but stayed on for 10 days as great site especially for our dog as loved the many walks around the lagoons on site. Toilets, showers and all around the site was always clean. Excellent holiday we will be back, tried to book for bank holiday but already full.

Tything Barn is the loveliest campsite I have ever visited. It is especially delightful if you wish to be a naturist and wander peacefully around the lagoons, watch the tidal estuary rise and fall and generally keep to yourself.
However, the campsite also has an incredibly friendly atmosphere. The clubhouse (although somewhat 'rustic') is a draw in the evening as a bonfire is often lit outside. The greenhouse is a lovely place to sit and relax, even when the temperatures drop too low outside.
The campsite owners themselves are superb and will bend over backwards to help in any way that they can.
I can also testify to the site being 'child friendly' during the summer holidays, as my nephew has visited several times and has thoroughly enjoyed himself.
There are free hot showers & toilets, fridges for personal use, a small library and a selection of games & items such as badminton rackets for general use.
Within walking distance there are two pubs, one of which serves meals. For food shopping you have to travel by car to Pembroke Dock. It is an ideal place to stay in order to discover the delights that Pembrokeshire has to offer.

First impressions were very good having been met at reception and given a guided tour of the place. The park is lovely - old quarries are now lagoons surrounded by woodland intersected by pathways. Once the guided tour was over we put the tent up and immediately were greeted and spoken to by fellow campers who made us feel very welcome. During our stay in the park we were very comfortable - nice grassy pitches, basic but clean and hot showers, clean toilets, washing up area and freezer room.
At night guests can light a bonfire at the 'clubhouse' and spend a few hours chatting to fellow campers over the fire - marshmallows appeared and were duly toasted! :)The clubhouse itself was one of the things I loved about the place - its seen better days but was full of character!
I absolutely loved this place and as a result went straight onto eBay to buy a bigger tent. It might not be too everyones taste - it is a bit basic and the idea of people wandering round in their nuddy pants might scare some - but for someone who wants to get away from the world and just chill out I doubt there is anywhere as good in Wales.
And at just £11 a night for 2 - plus £3 for electrickery - this has to be one of the biggest bargains out!

I've just arrived home after my first ever visit to Tything Barn. I spent seven days on this fabulous site and, apart from one rainy day, enjoyed lovely warm sunny days. I'm a single male through divorce and since becoming single I have experienced problems at some sites as some only accept couples and families. Not so at Tythins! I was made to feel very welcome, not only by the super couple that run the site but by the other campers I met and spoke to during my stay, couples and singles.
As other reviewers have said, no camp shops, bars discos etc but the most amazing peaceful, picturesque site I've come across. Lots of camping spaces without any fear of feeling cramped. E-hook-up on many pitches. Seemingly endless walks around the many lagoons with endless opportunities to picnic, sunbathe or chill out by the waters edge. Lots of trees and greenery surround these walks giving shelter from breezes or the sun if its too hot. You can swim in the lagoons or take a row-boat out.
Shower, loos etc are clean with plenty hot water for showers at no extra cost. I shall definitely be visiting again soon.
