We stayed for 3 nights over the August bank holiday. We were the second outfit on the site on the Friday and pitched on the left hand side, out friends who joined us later in the day came and pitched next to us.
I think we made a genuine mistake as we pitched between the two markers so took up a bit more space - also we pitched where the caravans normally go as it was flatter there.
We had 3 / 4 caravans that came next to us but nobody seemed to have any issues with us. This is a very friendly site in a beautiful village. The Green man pub is fantastic with a great selection of real ales.
The chip van turns up on a Friday night and you are allowed to sit in the pub and eat them.
There are limited facilities on the site but that is what camping is all about!
There was a 'do' on the Saturday night with music from the garden of the pub, but we loved it. Our 18 month old son was sound asleep so we could boogie round the tent to some good old 80' tunes!
We will be back again to this site, the landlord is a real hard worker - he never stops but is always friendly and helpful. Well worth stopping here!

This is a great campsite. Me and some friends just wanted a weekend away.
At the start they were not to sure about us, we are all 17 and 18. But they allowed us to come and the owner said 'you are a disgrace to your age group, you where brilliant not one complaint'.
That made the whole group happy and said we are allowed to come back. So if you are looking for a weekend away from home go there.

I would recommend this site to anyone wishing to stop for a night or a week.
We got a very friendly welcome from the landlord who personally showed us us the facilities.
The site is a well kept flat field with a stream at the bottom in a quiet traditional old English village with a super market just a few minutes walk away providing everything you might need.
Many thanks for a great few days camping.

Used this as a stopover before going to the Motorhome Show at the NEC. Difficult to find so arrived in the dark. Rain had made the field too soft for my large motorhome so we had to try and fit in the carpark.
Sadly quite a bit of traffic made it awkward. Nice welcome if short, from the landlord. Didn't realise pub didn't do food so that meant a run around. Beer was good and locals friendly. Noise late on made sleep difficult.
However we were allowed to park up until Saturday afternoon.
I think we may have expected more than is offered here.

What a warm welcome! Within 10 minutes of booking in, the owner came out with a lovely pot of tea (just what we needed after 4 hours on the road. The setting is beautiful and the site is well maintained.
There are only basic facilities but as a stop over site you don't really need any more. The staff in the pub and the locals are very friendly. As we arrived on a Friday night we decided to try the Chip van, very reasonably priced and delicious.
There is a Chinese about a 20 min walk away and although a little pricey its well worth the visit.
We will definitely be going back

Great pub campsite. Very friendly owners serving a good selection of well kept beers and cider.
There is water & and a toilet waste disposal on site. The only toilets are in the pub, but the landlord opens the doors earlier than the pub opens.
We arrived on a Friday evening & sat outside only to discover a fish & chip van was due to stop outside. The landlord brought us knives & forks out, but a lot of people took their chips inside!
There is a well stocked co op just down the road & 5 other pubs within walking distance, 2 by the canal where our dog loved to walk. Will certainly be going back! We paid £9 a night which we thought was a good price. There is a good children's play area at the back of the pub which was very popular.

Spot on! Just was a 5 unit site should be!
The pub landlord made us very welcome in what is really his back garden, albeit a large back garden.
The Green Man pub does not serve meals but there are other places in the village that do. However, The Green Man is a pleasant little pub that has a nice feeling and serves good beer!
There are no facilities apart from fresh water and a chemical dump point but for £9 per night it is excellent value.
You can access free WiFi from the bar in the pub.
There is a small supermarket in the village which has all the essential supplies.
Closeby is a disused railway track that has a national cycle route running along it and there is also the Grand Union canal with its own interesting pubs and places to sit and watch the narrow boats negotiating the locks.
A few miles away is the town of Warwick and Warwick Castle. The castle is a good day out. At first we felt that the entrance fee was a bit pricey. But after our vist we agreed that it was 'value for money'.
Overall a very enjoyable stay. We will be going back again.

Wonderful pub camp site. The landlords, Mark and Sharon made us feel very welcome.
We will be booking up to visit very soon again, as we found out that very close to the village is a cycle path that is part of the National Cycle Route.
We stayed during the real ale beer festival and the whole village had a 'buzz' about. We hope to return next year.
I would recommend this small site 100%. Please note that the site has no 240volt hookups and limited restroom facilities that are only open during pub opening hours.
Again, many thanks to Mark and Sharon for making us feel so welcome.

Decided to use this site as a stopover on the way down to Southampton. Our decision was based on the good reviews already on here. We made the right choice.
The owners are very friendly and so were the chickens. The site is at the rear of a very nice pub and but for a couple of tents we had a lovely flat field to our selves alongside a stream.
It was a Monday night and very quiet but Mark (the landlord) assured me that it can get quite busy at times. Mark had a lot of time for our youngest son, Sam who had a great time on the Battleships game 'helping' answer questions. Sam even asked if we could call there on our way back he enjoyed it that much.
We just stayed the one night as we had a Ferry to catch so did not get chance to sample the other pubs in the area. I would definitely recommend the Green Man as a stopover.
The toilets are available via a rear entrance which is open from 7. 00am and there is a cold water tap in the garden area.
It only cost £8 for the the night(5 of us plus Yorkshire Terrier in a large Motorhome) and the pub had Black Sheep bitter on draught so everything we needed for the one night was there.
We would certainly go back there if we were in the area again.

At last I have found it. In my view the perfect certificated site. Great site in a great pub with a great landlord in a great village. (sorry about all the greats but it really is that good).
Also within the village are 5 (yes 5) other pubs all of which were good. There is also a small convenience store (a co-op I think) in which the staff were very friendly & helpful.
A 10 minute stroll to the Grand Union canal for good walks. I stayed for 1 night as I wanted to visit Coventry Cathedral the next day but will stay longer when next in the area. All this for £8.
Not to be missed!
