Visited with my son after school with a view to booking up for the weekend for camping with tent. To be told we don't accept tents even though their website still has tent tariff on. Suggested via email they alter their website. Disappointed as my son liked the look of the site and close to Hartlepool. Elwick Village has shop and public house.

Lovely site, friendly wardens, nice bar area, shower and toilet block ok, just could do with a bit of a scrub. Good attractions nearby. We were able to put our freezer packs in the freezer in shop, great. We had electric hook up for two nights, was a bit cold for may but hey that's the British weather for you. The other thing is that the sat nav takes you to a farm, just before the campsite, its just next turning and is signposted. Not a lot in Dalton Percy, it was deserted, but Hartlepool plenty of choice. Visited children's farm while we were there. We would return again

Visited the site early April, on approach this was a very well kept park with security barriers, and a fob to access the park. The toilet and shower block was also very clean and modern. The grass and up keep in general was at a good standard. We stayed for 2 nights. The club house was the only downside as there was no control of children and it was very loud. There was a lot of seasonal touring caravans on the park, and I felt everyone knew each other. On the hole the park seamed to be running well.

We visited this site to be greeted by Andrea the owner, she explained that we could pitch anywhere we wanted to.
This site has got everything for a nice relaxing break, it has a games room, showers are free and hot. Its got a pub (were you can have game of bingo), on site prices are very reasonable and they now do breakfast which is very nice, full english breakfast is £3. 50. They do egg buns, sausage buns and bacon buns, they are all £2. 00 each. There is also chips and curry, chips and gravy £1. 50, chips £1. 00.
They have a small shop on site.
We had a lovely stay will be going back very soon
All staff are very friendly there get on with everyone on site

Have just arrived home from spending 4 nights here.An extremely well run site. The facilities are very good and very clean and warm with plenty of hot water. Each shower cubicle has its own loo but there are individual loos as well. The washing up facilities were indoors, which was a bonus again with plenty of hot water. Breakfast and dinners are available some nights in the club house. We liked the idea that a key is needed to access the facilities and an electronic fob to enter and exit the site. The local bus stops outside the site All in all a site to happily recommend.

This campsite is one of the best I have visited. We have just spent a week here for the Tall Ships Race in Hartlepool. The campsite is very well kept (the grass was cut twice during or stay) excellent toilet and shower facilities clean and always hot. The pot washing area was always clean and had an endless supply of hot water. The laundry facilities were kept locked and you obtained a key from reception cant comment on these has we didn't need to use them.
Food served in the bar area, menu was basically burgers but they were very reasonably priced and very tasty.
During our stay I had problems with my car, the owners couldn't do enough to help me, they put me in touch their local mechanic, and so we didn't have to miss a day of our holiday I left my keys with the owners who insisted we enjoyed the day and they would deal with the car. On returning from our day out my car was repaired and my bill had been paid for me by the owners to save me having to make a trip to the mechanic.
During our stay we visited Durham and Robinhoods Bay, both worth a visit we had a good day out at both. Most of our stay was taken up with visiting the Tall Ships in Hartlepool, their was so much to see and do in the tall ships village. Hartlepool was a nice place to visit obviously very busy during the event but clean and tidy.
We will definitely stay at Ashfield Caravan Park again when we next visit the area.

Stayed for two nights in July. The owners were helpful on arrival. The site itself was very well maintained with level pitches. The shower and toilet block was accessed by key and was clean and tidy.
Nice addition to have a toilet in the shower room.

Found this site by chance and what a site, friendly staff, lovely shower and toilet block, club house, great play area for kids and a games room for older kids. Have already booked up to go back.
The local take aways deliver to the site. Their is also a kitchen in club house and is priced reasonably. There is a field the children can play football on.
Down side the club house is great but it's a little small, it could do with some sort of extension on. The site has cctv plus security barries and its a long walk out so children are safe.

Stayed at the site for two nights in a three man tent total costing £20 plus £10 deposit for electronic key fob for barrier & toilet block key. This wasn't our first time visiting the site so we knew what we were getting.
Campsite and toilet block is always in a good, clean condition and staff are friendly and always happy to help. Unfortunately there is not a children's playground, but instead a big empty field. However, the children seemed to play football where the tents, cars and caravans are!
There is no local amenities in Dalton Piercy however there is a Tesco Express, Pizza Shop, Chinese Takeaway, Aldi and a couple of pubs nearby in Hart, enroute to Hartlepool town centre which is roughly a 10mins drive.

Visited this site at Easter weekend. Toilet block immaculate with extra large cubicles, lots of hot water and hanging space and shelves. Good washing up facilities.
The site is nice and flat with plenty of room for caravan, awning and car. Nice club house on site with reasonable price drinks and kids allowed till about 8.30.
All staff are friendly. Takeaway meals can be delivered to site from outside. Beach and plenty of shops only ten minutes away At Hartlepool.
Only downside I can think of is no park area for kids although plenty of room to run around safely. I don't live two far away and we will be back again.
