When you arrive you will have to pay a £10.00 deposit for the key for the showers and the fob to open the security gates. You only get one key for the showers which can be a problem, if ladies go to the toilet and gentlemen then decide they need to go. The site is immaculate, the facilities are cleaned regularly and the shower block is ideal you get a shower, toilet and sink in the cubicles, there is a hairdryer available at the cost of 20p for a short time, I took 40p. We were allowed to pitch where we wanted and I think all the pitches have electric hook up. The club house has a lovely atmosphere and the drink is reasonably priced, there are seats outside just in case the weather is nice. I will most definitely be going back in the near future. I would take some insect repellent in the summer months. There is a shop on site for the basics. The site does not have the facility to take payment by card, cash only.

We visited this lovely site on a busy weekend with great weather and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
We arrived on the Thursday Tea Time and got onto the site with no hassle at all. We set up easily enough and had the choice of pitches which was nice.
Our four year old son absolutely loved this site and the freedom and safety it gave him.
The site is well laid out with stone roads across the park and the toilet block set in the middle. The entrance also houses the shop and park bar. This was a particluarly warming and welcoming area of the site and the staff were great.
The toilet block was great for the first two days and very clean, however on the Saturday night and Sunday morning the showers were a bit cold and the grass outside was being trampled in by guests. There were mops on hand and this was quickly fixed. Very spacious cubicles and again this was great for my son as it was safe and he had room whilst I had my own shower.
The site was very busy on the Saturday but at no point was there any problems or bad behaviour.
A few teething problems for a new site but these will be easily fixed with a few signs so that people know where to go for water, waste etc.
A tip - come off at the Hartlepool turn off and do not try and cross the A19 road as it is very busy.
The only thing that I would like to have seen was a play area outside for the younger children to play on.
We will definitely be back.

We have stayed here several weekends now and will do so as regularly as we can, each time we return another tent joins our group soon the whole of our village will be travelling down the A19 to this site.
New Site great for kids of all ages, teenagers love the games room, toddlers safe well away from traffic, secure entry system.
The owners are lovely very friendly extremely helpful.
As this is a new site and superb facilities understand the owners need to comply with rules and regulations they have bent over backwards to ensure local bylaws and all council regulations are adhered too.
When you visit and see the standard of the facilities you have to appreciate the investment and thought they have put into this site.

As has been said in other reviews, this is a new site this year, local to us, with fantastic camping amenities. Showers are clean, spacious, and well thought out. Showers are in a self contained unit, with a toilet, sink shower and shelving all in the one unit. Loads of room in the unit, this is especially useful to people like us who have disabled members in their party.
Nicely laid out, roomy pitches, with electric hook-up. Also the site has pitches set aside for disabled guests which are flat and close to the showers. Site has a games room for the kids, with pool tables, games and table football, with nice relaxing sofas. Football area so that when the site is busy the kids (young and old!) still have somewhere to play footy! also a clubhouse is nicely decorated, friendly, reasonably cheap beer, and with outdoor seating areas.
Reception also doubles as a basic shop which provides bread etc. Another good feature is the gated security, with entrance / exit via electornic fob, owners are really friendly and helpful, a credit to the site and the local area. TOP MARKS! can we have more sites like this please!

Just had five days at ashfield awful weather we had a sea fret for 3 days but the sight owners made up for it with there warmth. Best shower block I have been to lovley and warm and roomy. The club house very well done and cheap booze. We found lots to do in the area, we parked free at the staition and got the train into newcastle. Also near for a day out in durham, we did park and ride it was a lot better than trying to find a town park.
Going again in a few weeks so it must be good for us to go back.

We have visited Ash Field now 2 times, it may not have been the best weather (but that is England for you)
This is a brand new site, the pitches all have elec hook ups, plenty of space between pitches. Lovely views over fields and farms and you can also see the sea of nearby Hartlepool and Seton Crew. There are shower blocks that are second to none, the best I have seen. They are well heated and laid out. In the shower block there are seperate cubicles, in each there are toilet, sink, showers which are lovely and warm. Plenty of space and places to put clothes, towels and all your wash things.
The club house is well decorated with a beautiful log fire and well stocked bar. There is an outside area with seating which has been excellently hand made by the owner. There has been a lot of thought and hard work put into this site and it shows in every way. It is secure with special fobs to get in and out of the gates. The hosts are warm, helpful friendly and a bundle of laughs. This is a must if you like a quiet and peaceful break. You can easily get to near by towns and villages. There is quad biking 1 mile down the road and there is horse riding nearby as well.
