Basically we chose this site as it was where we needed to be. The site website looks, flatteringly, good and sort of describes what you find. It's called an Eco Campsite but what this actually means I'm not sure. The site was pretty un-tended with a variety of open air shacks and a couple of pseudo 'yurts'. The 3 or 4 hook-ups were limited to a scruffy piece of rather uneven and lumpy ground and were simply cables to connect to. The loos (only two) were basically housed in sheds with no hot water and the shower (just the one) in a larger shed with a one temperature water supply operated by a lever stop-cock. The recycling bins were small, broken and some full.
This is probably the most basic CCC Listed Site that I've been on and although membership of the CCC gives you a £1. 50 pp discount the standard £18 per night for a couple + £3. 50 for electricity is really not justified by what you get. I suppose our expectations are higher these days. Will is a very pleasant character, laid back and trusting (you leave your payment in an envelope when you leave) but justifying leaving the banks of nettles for the wildlife, putting a couple of pages of birds from an RSPB magazine (puffins!) in the loos and using solar powered LED's in the loos (and nowhere else) does not really qualify as Eco.
Would I go back? Only if I had to because of it's position and lack of other camping sites nearby.

Karma was exactly what we were looking for - a relaxing and casual campsite. You can literally just pitch up your tent and park your car wherever there is a space available. Will's very laid back attitude made us feel very comfortable. There is one hot shower, two outdoor toilets, a water tap and a separate sink to do your washing up - all very basic - however was all that we needed. Will definitely be coming back, thanks for having us :-)

There were two adults plus a dog and an awning. We were expecting a lot from this site but for the following reasons, @ £18:50 a night felt it was overpriced. The up side was the site is set right on the washes which provided a lovely walk if the cows weren't up on the bank. On arrival we had to wade through nettles to hook on to electricity, so not a good start. The chemical disposal point was filthy and the area around the bins, the sink and water tap were nettled and dirty. The site needed a fair amount of TLC. The play barn, at £1 an hour was unusable with many of the games broken or pieces missing. Also it didn't look at all inviting. There were some lovely small spaces for tents but the caravans were pitched in a row alongside the main drive which went to and from the owners house. This meant we got a lot of dust every time they went by, which was often. My son and family joined us for a weekend in a camper van which was charged at the same rate as U. S. Plus an extra charge for two small children. With a little tidying and regular attention this would be a lovely site but I would hesitate before recommending this site to a friend

The definition of 'cool camping' is entirely subjective of course, but this campsite fits ours perfectly. We like, small, low-key sites in beautiful settings. We also like to have a pub nearby and some walks and wildlife. Karma farm is homely like a large rambling back garden. A little info display hut greets you on arrival and sets the tone, which is welcoming and laid back. The facilities are fine and quirky and when you wander into Will the owner, you will find he is all these things too. The setting and surroundings could not be more beautiful, with a lovely reach of the river Lark bordering the site; we saw Avocets and lots of other birds. 5 mins by bike (no traffic) or 15 mins walk will get you to a choice of pubs in the village. We chose the Griffin and enjoyed a nice meal and fantastic Ale - a proper pub and very friendly. We will definitely return when next in the area.

On arrival, we popped into the unmanned reception, very quaint, found somewhere to pitch and set up, job done, a lovely nature rich site with loads of wild life all around, it seems largely based on honesty as we only waved good morning to the owner twice. Leave your money in the envelope when you leave. Very rustic but that's what we loved about it, if your looking for posh camping I wouldn't advise it, if your looking for wild and basic this is the one. Toilets where clean, and showers where clean too, loved the games area.

We loved this site! I can see how it wouldn't be to everyone's taste but it was to ours.
We had a lovely big area for our camper and friend in our bell tent. The best part was being able to have a proper fire, Will the owner had big wheelbarrows of wood for sale which was great. It is an eco site so the showers etc were solar powered and worked really well, lots of hot water. The shower and toilets were clean.
There were so many birds and animals to see including a cat and her beautiful kitten who I spent a bit of time playing with.
The owner Will was a lovely friendly guy and we will be back again to enjoy gazing at the stars around a fire.

We stayed in July. This campsite was not for us. It may suit some people perhaps those with children but it didn't work for us. We like rustic and wild so you would have thought that it would be right up our street. The owner Will was extremely helpful but the site was a shambles. Shambles in an unorganised way. For example we arrived on a Monday and the campsite had been busy over the weekend the recycling facilities were overflowing and the overflow was still there the following morning. A random drawer lay in the field, a random child's scooter lay in the bushes. I suppose I felt that the site was a bit untidy. At £18. 00 per night for 2 people in a tent is expensive. The village was nice and a short stroll away. Local people selling eggs and home grown produce can be found on the route to the village and it's was all very yummy. Would we go back? No, over priced and a bit shambollick.

I was really looking forward to visiting this site for a family gathering and we drove 4 hrs in Friday night traffic to get there. It was disappointing. Eco should not be a synonym for shoddy. Paying per person AND per berth is excessive and wasn't explained when we booked for 12 in 5 outfits. Neither were we aware we would be expected to pay for each child to use the play area. It is nice that the site allows campfires and provides wood at £5 a wheelbarrow full but it doesn't compensate for weeds growing in the toilets, cold showers and only one toilet working for the whole site on one of the days we were there.

We first visited this site last September and stayed in the Yurt. Having enjoyed it so much we decided to return this June. On arriving we were intrigued by the log cabin and as it was available (and the weather was a bit wet) we were persuaded by our 13 year old to opt for the comfort of the cabin (which she said was really cool ) Essentially this is a static caravan that has been creatively clad in local wood to give the appearance of a log cabin. It also has a lovely decked area to sit on and enjoy the birdsong and a fire pit close by. The cabin is in a secluded corner of the site and has the luxury of electricity and hot water. The beds were comfortable and we had enough space for the three of us. The kitchen is basic but functional but we also cooked outside when the weather allowed.
We love the simplicity of this site. Will is very friendly and the site is unspoilt with lots of interesting corners to explore. A great place to get away from it all and be close to nature.

We stayed in one Wills Yurts as a wedding anniversary treat for two nights, we gathered from the web site that facilities were basic however the place is absolutely brilliant. The Yurt was equipped with two sofa type fold down beds (doubles) also a table and a couple of chairs, there was a basic solar energy light with movement sensor this stayed on only a short time, didn't matter. There was a small open shed for cooking and washing up also drinking water. There were toilets in a couple of locations all of which were clean and well kept up, also showers (including solar powered), the showers were excellent, not too hot or cold, a decent shower is essential don't you agree.
Having no electricity was a liberation with no tv, radio or internet just brilliant countryside to walk in and the locals were friendly without being pushy. The tent/camping places were plentiful and in lovely location(s) on the site, we shall take a tent and our wee hairy dog (must be kept on lead as working farm) with us at some point,
I would dispute the one mile to Isleham unless it is as the crow flies but who cares. The Griffin in Isleham did good food at reasonable prices and the ales were damn good (wine was also good Barbara tells me). The Rising Sun also had good beer and friendly welcome,
Would we return ? Yes and we shall at the first opportunity. Thank you Will we really returned home completely relaxed.
