Our family of four (2 under 5's) stayed in the Log Cabin, essentially a static caravan covered in wood with a large raised decking area that you step out onto. The baby slept in our travel cot between the two lower bunks, we moved the table top out of the way to make room. Once Farmer Will had explained lighting the gas and adjusting the shower hot/cold we were up and running. Off to the big play field for games, in and out of the games area for skittles, table tennis and pool.
Due to the site being part of a working farm, parental supervision was necessary (for my 2 kids) around the old tractor and water troughs but the older children were having a great time on the free bikes and games.
Lots of bird song and wildlife to see.
Day 3, a free tour of the farm with Farmer Will
Including a trip across the river by boat, v. Exciting. Later on before leaving drove the 2 minutes back down the track to see the weir (at the Marina, ) have a paddle and watch the fish.
The campsite is a little bit like Latitude Festival, simple but effective and Newmarket's 20mins drive away for shops. Toilets near play area and entrance were ok and the solar shower looked fun.
Log cabin good for a cold night, the little heater did the trick and no need to use the air-con as we were never inside long enough.

Loved this site, from the moment we arrived till the moment we left we were totally chilled out, very basic site that could be spruced up but it would spoil the feel of the place.
facilities were rustic but not dirty more unusual, loved the shower pod and other campers seemed to observe the 5 minute rule and never had to queue like other pristine sites.
Check in reception was very laid back choose your pitch pay when you leave. Plenty of dead kindling around for the great fires or help your self to a barrow full of logs and pay when you leave. Was lovely to wake up to bird song and the cows mooing in the next field. Ideal base to explore local area within short drives of ely, bury st edmunds cambridge etc. Had a great afternoon in thetford forest canoeing and wild swimming. Owner Will was very friendly and helpful. Great place we will return

Very poor facilities, which sound OK, but are really about 50 years out of date. Stinging nettles head high indicates lack of care rather than Eco theme. Charges up to 5 star standard but facilities are Victorian. Extra for children's' play area. Extra for shower. Chemical disposal is in a completely overgrown hovel. 2 WCs, 1 of which was blocked for about 14 tents and 3 caravans and several motorhomes. Very friendly owner, but very poor value for money.

Mid week 2 night stay during the hot spell at end of July,
all very relaxed just pick a pitch when you arrive and pay as you leave,
its real eco camping fire pits basic loo's & showers, covered BBQ if weather bad, wood piles restocked every day, quite busy due good weather but minimal noise & very friendly residents.
Plenty of local walks down to river or into Isleham where there is basic shopping, but lot of local farms offer meat & veg for sale.
We were 2 adults with dogs. All the children were well behaved on neighbouring pitches & respected others privacy & enjoying the adventure,
Owners keep low profile in fact had to call to find out where to pay!
Even aircraft from nearby Mildenhall didn't bother us, really great break, stress free & relaxing and no constraints on arrival or departure time, its a must visit for us again when in area.

We’ve just returned from this lovely site. We are a group of friends, 5 in total who wanted a break from our usual wild camping happened across this place by chance. The website mentioned a yurt and a tepee and as luck would have it the yurt was available (and at short notice).
The site is an eco haven, but manages to offer toilets and showers that are on par with other sites. The toilets and some sinks appear to use rain water which is fantastic.
The location is ideal, accessible yet tucked away. Everyone else on site seemed to have the same outlook as we did, everyone made conversation and it was a really friendly atmosphere. There is a games area under an open barn with plenty of games for kids, there is a field where we enjoyed some summer evening frisbee and the fen water is a stones throw away.
We cooked on a fire outside the yurt, there was plenty of fire wood around and a wheelbarrow to collect it. Meat packs are available (we had sausages and chops from the locally reared pigs). There are some allotments nearby and we stocked up on veg and fresh eggs via an honesty box.
The owner could not have been friendlier. He was always on hand but didn’t interfere and we got the feeling that providing you had an ecological or environmental justification for something then it was on the cards.
The yurt was amazing, we wanted a low hassle weekend so we left our tents at home meaning that within 5 minutes of arrival we were sat in a secluded part of the camp, outside the yurt with some homebrew in hand a fire roaring.
Will was in no rush to chuck us out on the Sunday and the price was amazing.
If you are looking for a site with all mod cons this place doesn’t deserve you. My only reservation about our stay at Karma Farm is that if you read this review you might visit and I want the yurt again soon.

Having a spent a fantastic Jubilee weekend camping at Karma Farm- 5 tents, 10 adults and 2 children, we got back and decided it was that good, we've booked there again and are going back at the end of July!
The site was very busy when we were there, but there were enough toilets that we never had to queue. Toilets were in good condition and clean. The site has a fantastic roofed games area, so even during torrential downpours we were all entertained: kids sitting on old sit on lawn mowers pretending they were driving tractors and adults happily playing badminton/ pool/ skittles.
The setting was beautiful- we were camped opposite the Teepee and behind us was the Yurt- and we are planning a return next year to stay in the yurt!
Incredibly friendly site- gorgeous setting, brilliant family friendly facilities. I get the feeling we're going to become regulars!

This site is great if you canoe as the owners farm has the river Lark running through it and it's just a couple of hundred yards to the water. The river upstream is really interesting to explore, but downstream is all a bit straight and boring/ The site is very basic (which we like)just toilets and cold running water. The Owner has laid out raised fire grates and is happy for you to have open fires is one section of the site (which again we like). The local village has a handy shop and there are a few nice pubs about

Just spent 4 nights at Karma Farm (Fri-Tues) and had a fantastic time. There was only one other tent there when we arrived and we set up in a beautiful little area among the apple and plum trees. It is such a quiet and picturesque place with the river next door and lots of places for the kids to explore.
The owner Will and his family are lovely and couldn't have done more to make us welcome and help us out, even lending us a stove when our gas ran out!
The kids loved being able to go and find wood for the campfire and enjoyed the tour round the farm that Will can take you on. The facilities are basic, but clean and fine for the small amount of campers there at any one time.
We would definitely stay there again and recommend to anyone who wants a peaceful few days away from it all and for only £7. 50 per night for 2 adults and 2 children with 1 tent - amazing!

Lovely peaceful site, basic facilities but just what we wanted. Would recommend for proper campers, open fires, no music playing just listening to nature (and the odd American bomber from Mildenhall).
Will provides metal sheets and bricks which you can build your camp fire on.
The site was quite busy and I think it isn't normally as busy but we still had ample space for our tent and fire. Excellent price £7. 50 per night for 2 adults and 2 dogs.

Just spent a very enjoyable weekend at this site. It has a fairly small main camping area which has a woodland feel and is dotted with shrubs and the odd tree which makes it attractive. There are also a couple of other areas to pitch. We had the main area to ourselves. Facilities are basic as described in the other reviews but suited us fine. Very peaceful with a nature reserve across the track. Owner is very friendly and helpful. Fire pits are set out but barbecues are ok as long as they are kept off the grass. Table tennis table and a platform for looking across a waterway at the wildlife. Isleham is a very nice village and Saturday we had a great day in Ely (8 miles away). Would definitely visit the site again. We prefer basic camping so this site was great for us. Cost was £6.50 per night (club members)for 2 adults and a tent.
