Bailiffs Cottage is a lovely small site. We decided to do without any EHU and so we were able to pitch up in the secluded camping field, where there was a choice of a shady pitch or a more open one. As we had a bell tent and needed some height, we chose the latter. We were the only tent, so we had loads of space. The rate was £18 per night which I thought was very reasonable.
Readers acquainted with my reviews will know that road noise (or the lack of it) features quite prominently, and I'm delighted to say that this was wonderfully quiet. It is possible that anybody who was nearest the road (on one of the EHU pitches) MAY have heard very occasional passing traffic, but as the tent field was furthest away from the road, we heard nothing, which was great!
The owners were lovely and friendly. They were there if you needed them, but unobtrusive if you didn't.
The wash block and other facilities have already been described elsewhere and were very adequate. The area was good for cycling if you prefer mainly flat roads with little traffic, which we do. The site was more or less bang in between Hollesley to the East and Shottisham to the West, and both villages each had a good pub which served food. There was also a good-sized local shop which was very near to the pub in Hollesley.
There is plenty to do in the area, and we particularly enjoyed our visits to Snape Maltings and Aldeburgh.
We hope to return at some point in the future.

Great little campsite, well kept, lovely & quiet.
Good location for exploring the Suffolk countryside & coast for waking & cycling.
2 pubs doing food & a convenience store close buy in the little villages which were an easy cycle.
Owners were very welcoming, would go again.

We are regular visitors to bailiffs, well situated for cycling, walking or exploring the suffolk countryside by car.
The site and facilities are very clean and well maintained. The surroundings are peaceful and private with lots of birds and wildlife
There are 2 pubs within walking distance and two lovely churches. The hosts are welcoming and helpful available if you need anything.

The best kept secret in Suffolk! A very pretty camping area and blissfully relaxing as it is an adult only site.
Good walks around the area and you don’t need to take the car to the fabulous Sorrel horse pub which is dog friendly and only a short stroll down the road.
Also campsite owners Sandy and Graham make make you feel very welcome to their lovely garden

Adults Only. What a delightful place. So quiet and relaxing. Pitches are clean & tidy, overlooked by trees, and separated by hedges. I watched some lovely sunsets over next field.
Inside a small raised hut there is 1 toilet & sink and toilet with large 50p🤔 shower & sink. Books for sale (proceeds go to charity) and plenty of local information & wall maps to plan your days out. Behind toilet hut is a sink for washing up, assorted recycling bins and chemical disposal.
Woodbridge is worth a visit, Thursday Market (park motorhome behind Community Centre, not in Station car park. Cheap all day pay & display) Visit the last of the working Tide Mills, which also gives you an insight into local history. Also close to site is the Suffolk Horse Trust and Sutton Hoo.

What a find. A small, quiet, really lovely site. The owners of Bailiffs cottage are really friendly and welcoming. Although there is only 1 shower and 2 toilets, this was was never a problem.
They are both spotless. The site is well located for various interesting places to visit including shingle street, bawdsey and Woodbridge.
The garden at Bailiffs cottage is lovely and we look forward to returning hopefully in the summer.

We loved this site. The owners, Graham & Sandy were very welcoming and made us feel like friends. Thiergarden, which we were invited to walk around, was lovely.
The site was well maintained and the facilities always clean, tidy and all together in one place. We used the washing up sink which made it easier for us as our motorhome is fairly small. There was always hot water.
We plan to visit here again next year and hopefully meet up with others who shared the site with us. We used to live in Suffolk so we revisited places we knew from some time ago. Suffolk is still beautiful and there is a great choice of pubs and restaurants available around Bailiffs Cottage.
We loved hearing the Owls at night and it was so peaceful here.
We will return!

'What a fantastic little Gem'.
A small, private site that when we stayed over the bank holiday weekend we were only one of three tents along with a handful of motorhomes / caravans.
This was perfect if you just wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of a busy life. My wife and I pitched in one of the three open pitches and it felt like we were the only ones in the wooded area. Although our vehicle was only a few metres away it was great not to pitch next to it.
The owners were extremely friendly and hospitable and left you alone to get on with simply relaxing.
This was a wonderful surprise and we will be back again soon.
Ssshhhh. Please don't tell everyone! :)
