We read previous reviews before booking this site which were all excellent and gave no true reflection of the site,

When we arrived we were really disappointed with the worse than basic facilities. 1 toilet with only cold water for washing and no paper towels. Filthy shower that required £1 coins to operate and translucent doors that offered no privacy. The dish washing facility again was dirty with no hot water. In the 2 days we were there we never saw anything being cleaned.

For the £20 asked for the pitch each night, it definitely wasn’t worth it. Should not be called a campsite.

I booked this site based purely on the extensive high star reviews, disappointing doesn't cover my experience and I left early.

There was no hot water in the single toilet with filthy sink, the shower was disgusting, as was the elsan disposal site. There was no hot water for dish washing and the advertised dog walks were non-existent.

I will not be coming back.

Gorgeous well kept pitches…. Grass / ground perfect to sleep on.

Easy to find and can be accessed by train. Clean facilities. Quiet and simple.

What camping should be! Recommend

Very friendly quiet site. Clean and tidy.

Have just spent a relaxing time at this site! It has great views looking towards the fells, friendly horses in the fields around and some great coastal walks.

Other than the shower it is cold water only, two toilets one with a hand basin.

Great if you want a peaceful time with plenty of space in between yourself and other pitches

Wonderful quiet site run very discreetly by Dave and Simone.

Lovely people who were most friendly, helpful, informative and dog friendly.

Will definitely come back again.

Bob of The Borders had a fantastic time too 🐾

What a great site, peaceful, great views, facilities are adequate, easy walk to the coastal path and the train station ( the lanes are very narrow so care is needed).

There is a garden centre across from the site, it does say it has a cafe / restaurant but it wasn’t open when we were there.

The town of Egromont is a 2 mile walk with shops and pubs, again down narrow lanes.

Would definitely recommend this site and we will stay again.

The site is close to the west Cumbrian coat, it is small and quiet with toilets, showers and all the waste disposal and water you need.

There are horses in the field next door and the dawn chorus is wonderful. The views across to fells are lovely and even full the site would never feel crowded.

David the owner is friendly, helpful and very welcoming,

We will definitely be back.
