We love coming here-our home away from home. It’s so relaxing, lovely walks and beautiful beach (but we like to keep that a secret 😉).
Having such a lovely cafe with delicious homemade cakes, preserves and honey, the lovely craft sessions which our daughter really enjoys, the animals, especially lambs at Easter for the little ones, nothing is too much trouble for the very friendly and helpful Lucy, Helen and Colin.
Also it is very dog friendly for well behaved dogs.
To top it all they have yoga classes too. It’s a real retreat treat to be here x

On my first outing with my campervan I decided to try Poplar Farm. The site facilities are basic, clean, and near the pitches (toilets showers and washing up facilities).
When I had a problem with the operation of my unit the site owners' were really helpful and checked that I was ok. I did not need to cook if I did not want to as the Poplar Farm shop serves breakfast and also lunch with lots of options, they grow and serve lots of their own fruit and vegetables, the staff are lovely and friendly. I bought fresh baked local bread, eggs and some of the lovely Poplar Farm jam, marmalades and pickles to take home.
There were lots of walks in the local countryside, to the local beach at Sandilands and also Sutton on Sea either on the road or along the promenade.
I would definitely return to this site for a few days of rest and relaxation.

At Poplar Farm we were greeted by very friendly staff. Helen and Colin the owners were on hand most of our stay to help us in any way they could. It is only a 20 minute walk to the beach and very dog friendly.
We loved the fact we could pitch up as a group. Refreshing to have power showers in the wet rooms with lots of hot water and to have washing machine facilities.
We certainly will be back.

We could not rate this campsite more! Being a family with three children aged between 1-11years, we could not be more happy with the welcome and service we received. The owner, Helen and Colin, were wonderful, and were more than happy to make our stay as joyful as possible.
Any type of query or question we had, they were able to answer them. The facilities themselves are very nice, the toilets/shower areas are very nice and well maintained by staff. (I was more than upset by previous comments that stated otherwise as you can see the site is well maintained and cared for. )
The cafe is very pleasent, all good is made on site so you can guarantee fresh and VERY yummy food (especially the cakes!). The arts and crafts that run on some days were lovely for the children, and was wonderful to see them getting involved.
We certainly enjoyed the fact the site was only 20minutes walk from the beach where the children could play! I would 100% recommend this site to everyone who is looking for a nice relaxing setting, and enjoy the exquisite surroundings of the Lincolnshire countryside.

Just visited poplar farm caravan park for the first time setting up our new trailer tent. It was the only campsite that could fit us in at short notice over the bank holiday.
Good points;
Lovely weather really helped, nice relaxed atmosphere spacious site, friendly staff, ideal spot for nice walk to the beach and other nice walking trails, kids seemed to love the horses and pony's and lots of room to play.
Negative points;
Oh dear! the toilets and shower areas are quite disgusting, , spiders cobwebs everywhere and dirty. Also the bin areas look like they haven't been emptied for a long time.
This is a massive disappointment I would not return to this campsite purely because of the toilet and shower situation. I'm sure if this was cleaned up and updated they would get more returning customers as everything else was lovely.

If you like a rustic site this is it. Best part of site is the dog walk. The toilets and shower areas are quite disgusting, , dirty.
Also the bin areas look like they haven't been emptied for a long time

Great relaxed site. Level pitches in well-drained field amongst open countryside - lovely walk to Sandilands (for either the Fat Seagull bistro or the fantastic sandy beach) is about 20 minutes, via footpath through fields then quiet residential streets. From Sandilands it is an easy walk along the prom to Sutton on Sea for fish and chips at Waldos (best we've ever had).
We have stayed on two separate occasions this year (1 night each visit) and it suits us very well. The toilet/shower facilities are rather basic, but the price, location and friendliness of this small site more than compensate.
Great for our dog too - he can be off-lead for part of the walk to Sandilands, and the beach there is dog-friendly, right up to the main beach in Sutton.
Perfect for a short break. We'll be back!

This is a small site with helpful and friendly owners. The toilets and showers were a bit basic, but were ok. The ladies showers were like a wet room, and there was plenty of hot water.
The best bit was the pop up restaurant they put on one night, a great time was had by all !
There is a shop selling home grown food items and delicious honey.

Stayed at poplar farm for 2 nights, this was the first time we had took our granddaughter with us camping, so thought site looked ideal.
On arrival found owners in the café who greeted us with a warm welcome and settled us into our pitch. The little farm café was brilliant, the cakes are way to good for my diet.
The pitches were huge with plenty of space to let the kids run around and explore all the ponies.
The only slight down side was the showers/wet rooms which were a little dated and flooded easily after a few people had showers, and although the birds nesting were cute, there mess was less so.
All in all though the friendliness of the owners soon made up for this slight down side so would stay again.

Really lovely site in a quiet location with fantastic farm shop/tea rooms. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Site had a relaxed, laid back feel to it which we loved. Lots of space for our boys to play and explore, and caravans/tents well spaced out.
Brilliant being able to wander across to shop in the morning to pick up warm croissants/pain au chocolat etc for breakfast. 2 nice clean shower rooms with toilet + basin, plus a further 2 toilets in separate building (and a washing machine).
Even though we went over bank holiday weekend when the site was full, we didn't find we had to queue or wait for the showers, although the owners did mention putting in more showers in near future.
Lovely walk through fields to Sandilands beach (about 20 mins) and nearby Fat Seagull cafe and Grange and Links hotel/pub (had very nice meal there). Would definitely go back.
