The kids loved this site, especially the little pony and the amount of space for them to run around in. We were given a choice of pitches and advised which one was the most sheltered.
The shower wet/rooms were a bit basic but large enough to accommodate three small children and one adult and there was always loo roll and handwash.
The owners were lovely and friendly and our only regret was not sampling the homemade cakes, as we had packed up the tent in the pouring rain and were wet through and fed up.
All in all a nice site and we would go back.

Only stayed the one night as we were travelling, friendly couple had we had more time would have stayed longer, flat field plenty of space other campers were friendly.
The early bird catches the worm (shower), good job there were other toilets near in morning.
Weather was dry but strong wind, gave the other campers something to watch as we was erecting our first tent in gales and managed somehow.
Our first time camping and we enjoyed it and will go again, and what a saving from b&b, and more fun cooking over a stove, who knows what it will be like in the rain.

We stayed here the week leading up to the bank hol weekend. Had all types of weather except snow! Lovely site, very relaxed and laid back. Could pitch the tent wherever we wanted and had electric hook-up.
The toilets/showers are in fact wetrooms and both are large enough for an adult and younger child to shower together.
The farm shop is nice and cream tea delicious. We bought some homemade jam too. Lots of swallows nests, including near the wetrooms so you could see the chicks when their parents fed them - everybody loved that. Short drive to the beach and local shops.
Plenty of space for children to play as our field was quite empty. 2 washing machines available and a rotary line, but we didn't use them. Would definitely stay there again.
Both Helen and Colin were so friendly and helpful. Excellent value for money.

Arrived at Poplar Farm on a wet and windy afternoon with partner and 3 young children. There were already quite a few tents and caravans there when we arrived but they increased in number for the few days whilst we were there to 13 tents and about 8 caravans.
There are also a couple statics and some holiday cottages so by the end of our stay it was feeling very crowded. On the positive side this was a great site for kids to play and explore and enjoy the animals. Nearly everyone had children with them and they had great fun playing hide and seek and football.
On the downside the shower and toilet facilities consisted of 2 wet rooms, one of which is very small, plus two further toilets in a separate block. I didn't use these toilets at all because the one time I went to look at them they were grim, with a dirty sink and towels all over the floor.
The two wet rooms had plenty of hot water when I used them but because of the large number of people on site were soon awash with shower water and became very dirty. A notice reminding people to clean up after themselves would be useful.
The owners were helpful but quite laid back (we had to chase them to pay, they had no clue how long we had been there or where we were pitched). The rubbish area was strewn with hundreds of bottles and the 2 large wheelie bins were completely full and buzzing with wasps.
All in all we had an ok stay but would think twice before going back

The site is small and informal; you can pitch where you like and there aren't too many rules. The owners are very friendly and helpful. This is a great site for children, minimal traffic, big fields to play in. Our boys loved the pigs, horses, sheep and chickens.
There are two wet rooms which are basic but functional. Hot water supply was limited on one day but that's because I was lazy and didn't go for my shower until late!
The site is in a lovely quiet location with lots of footpaths nearby, and is really handy for the beach at Sandilands. The Farm Shop and gallery are delightful, with cupcakes to die for.
All in all, this is a great little family friendly site and we will definitely be returning :)

We stayed at poplar farm and we enjoyed it very much, it was peaceful and allowed pets. The facilities were clean, the owner did apologise for the rubbish/bottles by the bins but the contractor went bust, this was soon rectified with another contractor.
The shower blocks were clean, washing was in the other toilet block waiting to be done, as they have to sort out change over for cottages. This didn't bother me as it was only on a Saturday.
The proprietors were very helpful and welcoming. It was nice to have a farm shop on the site with their own farm produce etc.
We had a lovely time and we will certainly book again this year.

We had a lovely stay here at Easter. The children (8 and 6) loved it, and helped feed the farm animals, even carrying newborn lambs from the barn into an outside pen.
Two hardstandings were being constructed when we were there; these will be very useful as the ground was a bit soggy after heavy rain.
This site is almost next door to the Caravan Club's Hawthorn Farm site, is cheaper, and much more spacious - we'll definitely stay again.

Lovely little site with very friendly owners. There are two wet rooms which are adequate, wash facilities & a laundry room. Although there is no play area for children there are pigs which they can feed, sheep & with there being only a few people staying a large area they can run round safely in.
There is a little shop with home produced jams etc in. Although not the most modern of facilities we found them to be fine for us.
The ground was rather hard for plastic pegs so storm pegs would be more useful here. We would definitely go again as it is so friendly & peaceful, being quite a way from the main road helps!
Sandilands is a very short drive away & Mablethorpe about 10 mins away.
