What a little gem.
Great pitch, spotless facilities and an extremely friendly and helpful owner(Sheena).
Amazing views all around lovely walks - for which they supply maps and very close to the Pennine Way.
Pub and friendly social club nearby.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

This is a fantastic, clean, friendly site.
The small play park is positioned so you can see the kids from anywhere on the field allowing adults to relax as kids play. 2 clean warm toilets with one shower.
Great little honesty shop (old fashioned caravan).
Main road can be head on a nighttime but it’s not excessive.
Great little site

Lovely site, pitches are spacious. All facilities were easily accessible, the toilet block was clean, small but doesn't cause any issues.
Little play park for kids and big open space in middle where kids could play.
BBQs and fire pits are allowed, little honesty shop with all essentials.
The site has lots of area around it to explore and go for walks, the only downside to location was you could hear some noise from the road (not a big issue)
Would definitely recommend this site and return.

Had a lovely few days here and would definitely return.
Such a lovely site in a fab location, facilities were immaculate and the little honesty shop had everything you could possibly think of!
The pitches were spacious and we could let the kids run around the field and the park but still see them which meant we could actually relax as well!
Some lovely walks from the site down to the river and the waterfalls and a short drive into Barnard castle to the nearest shops /supermarket.

Lovely little family site in a great location for exploring outdoors.
Castle, waterfall, picnic areas and wild swimming within ten minutes walk. Pitches are a good size, and lots of space on camping field.
Facilities, loos/shower/washing up area/bins and waste disposal all clean and well kept. Beautiful views over the Pennines.
Lovely little shop, children's play area and dogs on leads welcome, fire pits for rent, and a friendly welcome. Enjoyed the chickens and rabbits running around.
Would definitely go back. Easy to find off the A66 ( there is a hum of traffic in the background but it didn't spoil the experience). Good places to eat locally.
The area has lots to offer, pretty towns and villages, good walking country.

I camped here for a night while doing a section of the Pennine Way - the campsite is right on the way with a gate leading on to the footpath itself.
It's in a great location, right next to Bowes castle and a couple of minutes walk from the village, with views of the castle and the Greta valley.
It's a great campsite. The woman attending (don't know her name, sorry!) was really helpful and friendly. The shower and toilet facilities were spotless.
Walkers should be aware that there is no shop in Bowes so stock up before arriving.
The hotel (the Unicorn) serves food but was all booked up when I visited which apparently is common. (Luckily a friendly family on a caravan trip at the campsite offered me some of their barbecue. )
There is a nice little shop on the campsite where you can buy snacks and a few handy items e. G. Shampoo or sticking plasters. Bowes Social Club is nearby which is a friendly local place for a drink.
Highly recommend the campsite - just a very pleasant place to stay.

A warm & friendly welcome awaits you at Ivy Hall Farm.
Stunning location & extremely clean facilities.
A large pitch with EHU.
All correspondence was efficient & friendly.
Love the honesty caravan - well stocked as no shop in the village.
Great base for exploring the area.
Would highly recommend this campsite.
