Very clean the honesty caravan was brilliant.

Also a nice short walk to the river where you can wild swim.
Booked up again for the next weekend as soon as our stay was over.

Lovely small clean rural site right on side of pennine way.
Nice warm showers. Good washing facilities.
Flat camping field and well kept play area.
Really appreciated the owners sheltering our gear in the barn when the Sundome blew away whist we were out. 10/10 for hospitality.
Thanks

This is a small campsite in the shadow of Bowes castle.
Lovely flat grassy field with some pitch’s services with electricity and water.
Small wash room with one shower and toilets.
A caravan with an honesty shop with all sorts of things you could think off.
Play area with swings and other rug rat stuff.
Very friendly helpful chap on booking in and very reasonable prices.
There is small outside covered area for dishwashing as well grey water disposal

Very pleasant site. Helpful owners. Pennine way adjacent to field so great for stop overs. Clean showers and toilet.
Information room with little shop. Info on walks from site to river close by. Good shops in Barnard castle 4 miles away.
Handy for A66 but does mean some road noise.

Will definitely return.

Absolutely gorgeous little site!
Friendly owners, lovely well kept field, kids play area, small but clean facilities, and stunning views.
We were only able to stay one night this time, but will definitely be back soon for a longer visit to explore the nearby walks and waterfalls.
Highly recommended.

Nice flat site.
Welcoming folk. Very clean loos etc.
Close to the a66 so a bit noisy in the day.
A sink for washing up would be nice.
Castle was a bit uninspiring and a Shame the local pub is no shut but the social club is pretty good
