Used this place as an alternative to our usual Anglesey site. We arrived on Friday Evening and there was no one home, however, they had left us a letter taped to the door telling us where to pitch up. Site is in a beautiful location and it appears majority of vans there are seasonal? Site isn't as manicured as a lot but that's not really an issue, merely an observation. Site is level and appeared to be fairly well drained. Toilets and shower rooms look a little dated, but clean and fully working with no issues. All in all a lovely place. This place is a working farm and as such folk should be aware of various noise at times, nothing major though. If I have to put a negative, it would be the one vehicle track to the farm from the road. If your towing and something comes the other way one of you is bu**ered. Finally met the farmer on the day we were leaving and he was most apologetic that he wasn't there to greet us. Lovely chap.

Arrived here for Easter weekend. Stayed 3 nights. Lovely site and the people seem really nice, just paid and they said to pitch up where ever we liked in the tent fields. Only another 4 tents so plenty of room. We chose a spot out of the way as we have 2 dogs who can grumble if too much going on.
The toilets where a bit of a walk as they are in the caravan field - this seemed a bit odd as tents need toilets but once you allow time to walk there it's fine. Toilets where clean and the cleaner was busy every day keeping on top of them only problem was the toilet seats where stained. Shower was lovely and hot. Had problem with the power cutting off but once I went and told the owner he soon fixed it so all showers where working again.
Walked from the site along the marshes and down through Newborough woods and onto Llanddwyn beach. It was a lovely flat walk but a bit further than we originally thought! Llanddwyn island is worth a visit, wading across the water to reach it added some fun into our day. The whole route is suitable for everyone as its open and flat.
On the Sunday the weather wasn't so good so we walked to malltraeth and went to the Joiners arms pub. The drinks where cheap and landlord was very friendly and allowed the dogs in with us.
Got a chippy to walk back with which was very tasty.
Love the location of this site. Will come back again although maybe with a portaloo so we don't have to walk so far in the night!

Nice site not far from Newborough forest on Anglesey. The owners are really helpful. The site is level & the field we were on was great for the tent. The toilets/showers were very clean & we saw them cleaned every day we were there. They look liked they'd been re-painted since our last visit (2 years ago) and they looked good. Plenty of hot water, although on 1 day they did seem to have an issue with some of the showers going off? Not much on site other than a small play area for little kids but we only had 3 tents in the field all week so there was plenty of space.
Across the road (A4080) up nearer the village is a bike/foot path that takes you straight to the forest. When you get to the first car park from bike path & go across it you'll find the forest road that has no cars on so its safe for the kids to cycle on. Follow that for a couple of miles and there are entrances on the right to the beach.
The village of Malltraeth has a couple of pubs and a small chippy. Didn't use the pubs but the chippy is ok.
All in all a nice site with some nice sunsets (from the bike path) over the marshes.

Lovely site and lovely owners. All facilities are clean and look quiet new. Hard standing places with hook-up available and the view is stunning and most importantly, dogs are allowed. If you are looking for a camping place on Anglesey, I can highly recommend the site. When you arrive Katy will show you to your pitch and will explain things to you. It is a working Farm so if you bring your dogs, they should be kept on the lead but there is a designated dog walking area. The site is in a great location and the view is stunning. We will recommend the site to friends and will come back when we are staying on Anglesey again.

Absolutely love being here! Such a lovely place to be, come rain or shine! Beautiful scenery. Panoramic views of Snowdonia, also a beautiful nature reserve nearby. A wonderful rural retreat on a working farm.
A lovely mixture for all ages to experience from the young to the elderly, we saw newborn lambs during the spring break, the children loved seeing all the baby animals, & we all enjoyed watching the tractors & harvesting machinery etc working.
There was good toilet & shower facilities, laundry & washing up facilities, a fridge freezer, hot water. All very well maintained and good clean standard. The owners were very warm & welcoming & did their level best to help us with anything we needed.
Lovely surroundings, beautiful beaches nearby, great walks for all ages & all within a fifteen minute walk! There's a very handy little shop in the village & two pubs one of which serves great food, ( reserving a table is strongly recommended)!
A very relaxing & educational holiday we thought, surrounded by nature at its very very best & we will be recommending here to all our family & friends in future. Extremely good value for money, Idyllic location away from everyday life & we all returned home refreshed & more relaxed than any other holiday! Cant wait to return there. Thank you all at Pen-Y-Bont.

We visited this site in August 2013 for 4 nights and we liked it. Nice flat site, Showers and toilets were clean and functional. Small laundry and washing up room. Fridge freezer.
The kids play area and the farm animals and pets were a big hit with the kids.
Large dog walking area.
Within close distance of Newborough forest and the lovely beaches at llandwyn bay.
An excellent place to use as a base to explore Anglesey.

Nice location but facilities are not good. There was only one shower in the gents facilities and that was a heath robinson affair with a bent rusting metal pipe holding the shower curtain up. It was pretty manky as well. The taps on the two washbasin don't work properly and the washbasins are loose in the fixings. The toilets (there were two) were quite dirty with little sign that the seats and fixings are cleaned properly. The hard standing with electric hook-ups are very rough under foot (lumps of hard core and cinder rather than gravel etc) and were very over crowded (we used the camping field). The portaloo disposal area is in the open so depending on the weather could be bracing. There is a good field to exercise dogs but the bin was overflowing with bags of dog dirt and kids were playing near it (the owners did clean it up when we mentioned this although they said they were 'too busy to check the site as they were farmers'). On the plus side if you have kids there is quite a good play area.
All in all this site is in a good location but despite being quite large is basic with limited facilities that are not kept in good order. Out of main season that might be tolerable but in high season it's not that good given the pressure put on it. More and more sites, even the simple ones, are upping their game, so overall we weren't that impressed and are very unlikely to return.

Very basic site, caravan field mostly seasonal pitches, unkempt cramped not very nice, my parents wanted to leave straight a way, camping field much nicer but no electric hook up, only 2 toilets for men and 2 for women on whole site, usually a queue most mornings for toilets and showers, 4 showers total men and women. Toilets and showers dirty, hair, mud, cobwebs everywhere dirty walls and floors. Drive way to site very potholed and very long. Water pipes all leaked and waste disposal was a toilet buried in the ground. Will not stop here again many better sites close by.

We stayed here for two nights in early July. The site was clean and tidy with good level partial hardstanding pitches for our motorhome.
The facilities were good, toilets, showers, washing areas all kept clean and with enough hot water. There is a small shop on site with essentials but the village is within walking distance. There is a good dog walking lane just outside the site gate.
The only criticism I have is that they display the full ACSI sign at the entrance to the site but on handing over my ACSI card I was told the site wasn't an ACSI one, just an ACSI inspected.
One. We did however get a 10% discount for our Camping & Caravan Club membership.

After visiting this campsite, this very wet year, I have found it to be refreshing. The location of this site is excellent for a variety of beaches from which we have done some fishing, crabing, body boarding and lazing around a bbq (when we had some good weather). The boys enjoyed the walk through the nearby forest too which they found to be a great adventure. The wash facilities are basic however you are on a working farm with fantastic views which compensates greatly. The new park area was a great hit for my boys, keeping them busy as were the farm animals. We did have to book a time for the local pub (a great curry) as we found it to get full quite quickly its only a 15 minute walk away which was great. I would recommend this site to families wanting to have open space and freedom.
