I have nothing but praise for this site, and struggle to understand any negative comments from prior reviewers.

To be honest the reviews I had read had influenced us not to visit this park, until staying in a nearby park in early July, we visited to Chruch Farm to see for ourselves, and how glad we are we did.

First, £34 a night at Bank Holiday, with no additional charge for awning, dogs or extra cars is not expensive, and a lot cheaper than many other sites who charge for everything. Also consider there is a tap and grey waste disposal for each pitch, not what most other sites offer.

Second, the shower / toilet blocks I found to be excellent, spotlessly clean in very good condition. As in point 1, with a tap, hence running water for each pitch, plus grey waste, the shower block is almost unecessary for a modern van. True, they are at the end of the touring park, but again not very far at all if you do need to use them.

Third, the staff I dealt with were very helpful, very friendly and efficient, Roger a typical example of these fine characteristics.

The site is very well laid out, with shoulder high hedging to most pitches, to side and rear so you have virtually your own garden around your unit, again, not found on many other sites.

The location is also very good of course with Aldeburgh & Thorpness walking distance and the quaint Framlingham, a short drive, Woodbridge, Walberswick and Southwold also nearby.

This was our first visit to Church Farm and it will certainly not be the last, in fact we cannot wait to return.

I have not rated for Child Friendliness, purely because we did not have any children with us, but those I did see seemed to be having a great time.

Thank you Church Farm 10 / 10

Wow what a find, a beautifully located park and very well maintained. This has been our fifth visit this season and each time we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We started with just a two night stay as I wasn't sure how we would find the place. I needn't have worried. The toilet block is modern, spotlessly clean and warm when it needs to be with underfloor heating. Its such a change to have showers like those at home, you set the temperature and off you go. No paying extra to shower. The card to enter the toilet block is easy to use for a small deposit it means that its only accessible by the park visitors. The reception staff were helpful with regard to places to eat and walks for the dogs, the reception opening hours are some of the longest I have come across, they are happy for you to arrive outside office hours providing you arrange it in advance which means that you can have a relaxed journey after a working day. I used the park wifi which was slower when the park was busy but they do explain that is is only meant for browsing the web and email, if everybody stuck to just that more people would be able to access it at faster speeds, I was told it was now fibre BB so the park have done their best to provide the best service and it is FREE. Aldeburgh is a beautiful little town with some lovely shops and restaurants. Lots of beautiful places to visit and walk nearby with the beach just across the road from the pitches I really could not ask for more. A large playing field for the children is just a short walk away and because its fairly flat great for cycling too. Golf and sailing are also within easy reach as is Thorpeness Country Club and village. We will be back very soon I hope. Thank you Church Farm for being so relaxing and simply a great place to chill out! The pitch fee is actually excellent value as it covers the caravan, awning, electric, children, dogs and up to two cars unlike most places that initially look cheaper and then just keep adding on extra's!

Expensive & unhelpful but I guess that's to be expected when there's no competition! £30 per night out of season, WiFi useless and showers inefficient. On the plus side, toilet block was clean and pitches relatively private. What particularly annoyed me was the inability to log onto WiFi. That's one reason I stayed there, they offered free WiFi! When queried, they were most unhelpful. Stayed one night instead of two and moved on. Will not stay again!

This site is in a brilliant location, easy to find, no narrow roads & right by the town, the centre of which is a ten minute stroll. The beach is just across a quiet road and there are shacks close by selling fresh & smoked fish. If you prefer yours cooked the Golden Galleon serve the best fish & chips we have had in a long while.

Just a point, the beach is all shingle & slopes quite sharply down to the sea (our dogs hated it) but there is path all the way along the front to Thorpeness one way & the Martello Tower in the other direction.

The site itself is clean & tidy, the serviced pitches are large & separated by hedges (just one gripe, they need trimming!)

The showers & toilets are not the newest, but were spotlessly clean during our weeks stay. Yes, they are a fair way from some of the pitches, but to be fair we were asked when we booked if we wanted to be near them, or nearer the exit to the sea.

Which brings me to the staff, having read some of the reviews it nearly put us off, but to be honest we found both the gentlemen we dealt with to be very pleasant & helpful. No the wifi doesn't work, but it's free and we could live without it, and no it's not the cheapest site we have been on, but it's not the most expensive either, so considering the location & pitch sizes we consider it fair value for money. If we go back to this area we would use this site again.

We booked this site about 5 or 6 weeks in advance, paying a deposit at the time with the balance to pay two weeks before our stay. We were then called up a couple of weeks later and forced to pay the balance in full because they were going to be busy that weekend and wanted to firm up all their bookings (ie if we didn’t pay there and then we’d lose our pitches). We were then called again 4 days before our stay to confirm we were definitely attending. Having already paid in full it was highly unlikely that I was going to cancel! I wasn’t too pleased about being hassled in this way and as it happened there were several empty pitches that weekend so why we were hassled so much I’ve no idea.

We were also reminded on several occasions to reverse into our pitch and park on the left. As we have a German motorhome they gave us a concession to drive in but we still had to be on the left, which is what we duly did. We then watched at least six other units arrive on the Saturday all of which parked on the wrong side, with one even parking side-on right in the middle! At no time were any of them approached about this and asked to re-park. We spent two very chilly afternoons in the shade because of this rule. We also noted the site had free wifi but when my mother in-law reported to reception on arrival she wasn’t given the code.

My gripes aside, this is a well-kept clean site, free from traffic noise and relatively quiet. It is a fairly big site made up of statics and tourers, the pitches are all grassed with privacy hedging/bushes on most sides. The beach is literally across the road, which is predominantly shingle. Aldeburgh is a 10-min walk (right turn out of the site) and Thorpeness is a longer walk (left turn out of the site). Dogs are allowed on the beach adjacent the site and there are signs clearly marking the boundary as you near the village. Aldeburgh has a very famous fish & chip shop which was queued out of the door and down the street both days we were there, there are several pubs and the main street has a good selection of shops, including a Post Office and Co-operative. There is a cash machine in the Post Office.

At £33. 00 a night for 2 adults, 2 dogs and one motorhome in high season on a serviced pitch its not cheap but it is very convenient for the beach. We will probably return at some point next year as it is a nice site.

This camp site is in a great location. It is across the road from the beach. It is within a 10 min walk to the centre of Aldeburgh, but less to the nearest pub! You can easily spend two or three days exploring on foot, leaving the car behind.

The pitches are well laid out, some with more space than others. The water supply is adjacent to the EHU, which is very handy.

The toilet/shower block is heated and cleaned every day and accessed using a key card, available from reception for a £5 deposit.

All in all it's a pretty good site, if a little on the expensive side at £28 per night, more on a BH.

However, I do have a problem with the staff, they were rude and all seemed to dislike each other as they are quite happy to moan about each in front of you. I've been coming to this site for 2 or 3 years, and things seem to have changed this year.

When trying to book, I called several times and left a message as instructed, but never got called back. I only managed to book when someone eventually answered.

When I tried to get my £5 deposit back on the key card the female receptionist moaned at me for keeping the card from my previous trip (despite notices around the site advising you to do this). She said she couldn't find my £5 and would have to give me someone elses £5?? She moaned that the system didn't work, people like me were taking advantage and they would have to change it next year!

I've talked to other regulars at this site who have said the same.

You just have to weigh up whether the benefits of being close to such a quaint seaside town are worth the cost/unfriendliness.

Having returned to touring, this was our first trip in our campervan over the bank holiday weekend,

Now to the site, 32 pound a night,

shower block a distance from pitch. (nearer to static vans than tourers). Showers and washing ok.

Pitch itself needed some tlc, ie pruning of bushes and grass cutting.

Now good points, location great, pitch privacy, quiet site and small,

Overall not bad, room for improvement, considering price

Lovely location within walking distance of lots of interesting places. Fresh fish from few yards away was great.

Expensive site. I was not greeted in a friendly manner or given any information either written or verbal on arrival, probably as I already had friends there but this was still needed!

Would go there again as it is such a beautiful place. Toilets and showers clean and pitches were large, private and well serviced.

We have just returned from a fantastic evening pitched at Church Farm Holiday Park.

We usually try to stay clear from 'Holiday Park''s as we prefer small campsites with minimal facilities, but wanted to be close to Aldburgh and we couldn't find any other sites locally.

When we rang to book we were quite shocked to be quoted £32 for a night. We decided to go ahead and book despite our reservations regarding the high price.

When we arrived at the site, we were greeted by a very friendly member of staff who was extremely helpful. Our first impressions were very good- the site reminded us of a European site in that each pitch had its own 'glade' separated by hedgerows. The pitch sizes were excellent, and so were the facilities. We had a tap, electric and drainage area on our pitch. The layout of the site allowed each pitch to be private.

You have to pay £5 for a keycard to the facilities- and you got the £5 returned to you when you handed the card back. I suppose you need this system when you are so close to the beach, as Church Farm is. The Facilities were excellent. Clean, hot showers and lots of space in each cubicle. There were laundry facilities, a shop and information available for the local area.

It was a gorgeous 5 minute walk along the sea front to the centre of Aldburgh. The beach is about a minutes walk from the site entrance.

There were plenty of footpaths and tracks to cycle on from the site entrance- we enjoyed a cycle ride to Thorpeness and back along a track that bought us out to the rear of the site.

The site was extremely quiet- no noise from fellow campers, or the road.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, and will be returning soon.

We stayed at Church Farm for 2 weeks. If you read a bad review on this site it is untrue.

We found the site was very well kept, clean & tidy. Most of all it was very peaceful, the ideal place to go to relax.

The shower blocks & toilets were kept very clean, plenty of hot water when ever we had showers. We had to pay £5 deposit for a card to get into the toilets which is an excellent idea, stops anyone other than people on the site using the toilets.

We had a large fully serviced pitch which was excellent, it had shrubs which separated the pitches

The beach is only 2 minutes walk from the Campsite & the Town Centre is only 7 minutes away.

Staff are very friendly & go out of their way to help.

We will definitely be returning to this campsite as its the best one we have stayed at so far.
