We had the pleasure of staying on this campsite from the end of oct 2012 until march 2013 and over the winter months, while all other tourers were wrapped up, we visited this site most weekends and how fantastic it was. All nice and warm at night even on the coldest winter evenings, having winter bbq and a fire pit under the very clear welsh sky. I would highly recommend this site as the owners are putting much hard work to keep us campers happy, nothing is too much trouble to them. Space for the kids to tire themselves and the nicest shower room I have seen in twenty years of camping. So if you are ever that way I am sure you will be warmly welcomed, as were my family. We are already booked again from end Oct 13 until march 14 and look forward to it.

What a lovely quiet campsite this was, we loved our stay at Erw Glas. The owners were extremely helpful on arrival, we were allowed to walk around the site and choose our own pitch, this was really nice as we are seasoned campers and know what to expect from our British summer! The site was in very good condition considering all the rain we had and we chose a spot at the lower end of the site, near the owners golf green!
The toilets and showers were kept spotless at all times, not what we are used to on most sites! Hot water for dishwashing was also a bonus. Bins were emptied regularly with good recycle facilities.
We found the small town of Llanrwst (5 minute drive) great for essentials, with a Spar shop on the square open late most evenings. Supermarkets are not far away in Llandudno, with a nice beach and promenade.
We did the Snowdon thing, and were offered the use of maps by the owner who also pointed out a really good route called the Miners track, we loved it and were lucky the cloud broke at the summit, amazing views!
We only stayed three nights, but can't wait to return next year to explore more of the region!

Just come back after a 4 night stay and I must say what a lovely site. The weather was not too kind to us but that didn't spoil our fun,
The site is within easy distance of the coastal towns and for everything inland. The owners were friendly and very accommodating and as other people have said there is road noise, but but you should expect that when it is on the a470
The owner has said he is going to do some improvements over the winter period
I will be recommending this site to everyone I know and we will be returning to the site at Easter for a week. All in all A1

First the positives - the site is in easy access of Conwy, Llandudno and Snowdonia, so a great place for easy travelling to major tourist/walking spots in North Wales.
The owners are lovely, very helpful and the toilets were kept clean and tidy. Sadly the men's toilet had a 'comedic' light that after two minutes switches off and therefore you are left in the dark!
Now the negatives. The site is next to a major road that becomes quiet about 2 o'clock in the morning until about 5:00am when you are awoken by the train and the traffic starts again. After five days camping I was glad to go home to the peace and quiet.
The site is nice and even, and does not have great drainage, by the end of the holiday my tent was sat in water. Although we had rain and a few dry days there were still plenty of puddles (and a large one under my tent) and ideally the site needs better drainage.
Its a great site for the kids - plenty of space to run around and also good for exploring the local area, sadly the road noise is just a little too intrusive, especially when you want to get away from it all for a few days.

What a fantastic site. The toilets facilities are the best I've experienced in a very long time (only negative there is only one toilet for the ladies!).
The campsite is in easy driving distance of all the major beauty spots of North Wales.
It is not within easy walking distance of any shops or pubs which wasn't a problem to us but they do sell milk and eggs and a few other miscellaneous items on the site.
The pitches are level and even when wet it doesn't seem to cause a problem. We hired a pre-erected tunnel tent and I have no complaints about it whatsoever.

Excellent. Small away-from-it-all site. Excellent shower and toilet facilities. Handwash, toilet rolls and even fresh flowers in the loos.
No specific children play area or facilities, but children from the other units were more than happy chasing each other around the field and having good old fashioned fun just running around and playing together.
The local village has all you'd need as far as provisions go, and had a couple of take-aways and pubs.
Good location for all the North Wales coastline and also the Snowdonia National Park. Owners friendly and helpful, but not intrussive. Will definitely visit again when we're in the area.

The grounds are extremely well kept, even where the chickens live and the site was clean. Ample recycling and waste bins which were emptied frequently and chemical waste facilities.
The two toilets, one for ladies & one for the gents and family/unisex shower were kept spotless and I am extremely fussy about these things.
So if you are looking for a clean and simple site which is in easy reach of Snowdon, Betws y Coed and other local amenities with beautiful views this is one I would recommend.
Owners were both very friendly and helpful the only downside for me was no wifi but didn't have to travel far to find places that offered it.

This is only a very simple site in the sense that it doesn't have playgrounds, entertainment etc etc but. What it does have is perfect. For a camp site the showers and toilet facilities are fab. They're actually better than most 3 and 4 star hotels, clean, well let, stock with loo roll and paper towels, hot indoor showers!
The owners are very helpful and friendly and this is a great base for heading out walking up Snowdon or the Betts Y Coed walks.
The local food options arent great but the site itself is and the location for snowdon is 30 mins, local town 5 mins, conwy and llanddudno 15mins, Betts y coed 15 mins. So a good choice

Stayed 2nd week of June (with my cousin from Australia) in the sites own 2berth caravan. Steve the owner showed us all the workings etc and even brought a portable radiator in case of evening chill because the gas fire wasn't working. We were sitting out in the porch awning until bedtime so the rad was not needed; it's quite cosy inside. The C'van was well equipped with crockery, pots etc etc.
The grounds are extremely well kept, all around was clean and fresh looking. Ample recycling and waste bins which were emptied frequently.
The toilets (one each ladies & Gents) and family/unisex shower were kept spotless. I wasn't overly keen on the shower being in same block as the ladies loo but that's just me being a shy old biddy!
No actual playground but plenty of space for children to let off steam.
Very handy to have basic provisions available, we needed milk just before returning home, and the prices are very reasonable.
Surrounding countryside is beautiful as one would expect in the Snowdonia area, even in the rain!
As the site is only 20 minutes off the A55, I certainly intend to visit again to use the little caravan, for a couple of nights on my way to/from holyhead.
All in all, a good value campsite whose owners, Steve and Naomi, work hard to keep it in tip top condition.

A great little site in a great spot for visiting surrounding areas. We stayed in the caravan and my sisters family stayed in a tent. Site is kept nice and clean and safe grass for the kids to play on. Beautiful views especially as the mist lifts in the morning. We are returning again in august with some friends and family. Loved the little caravan that sold very reasonably price ice lollies, eggs etc. Lovely quiet site with a very friendly welcome :)
