We are first time campers and wanted somewhere quiet and peaceful. After having read the reviews we decided to give this a go. We arrived to a warm reception and put the tent up.

Within 10 minutes, we had support pitching the tent to ensure it was up right and extra heavy duty pegs as we was expecting some wind ( many thanks for this!)

The kids and myself enjoyed the site, room to play, showers were spotless and really refreshing, a nice clean up area, very clean toilets.

The other pitches on the site were all friendly. Views of the national park were great and to wake up to the local wildlife was brill.

Overall would recommend this for the cleanliness and service alone.

Again many thanks for the help with the tent.

The campsite was a lovely clean well organised site in the ideal location for local sites.

The pictures are all flat and well drained meaning even in very wet weather they do not become flooded or waterlogged.

The toilet and shower facilities are extremely clean and well maintained.

The owners are friendly and make you feel very welcome.

There is a small shop on site which sells basic supplies such as milk, eggs etc.

I would recommend anybody to use this site as a base to explore Snowdon or the surrounding area.

Just returned from this lovely Caravan/Camping Site after a weeks stay. Ideally situated for both the North and & West Coast of Wales and Snowdonia - with easy access either way. Excellent facilities for the size of the Site and beautiful views to wake up to. Steve and Naomi have to be admired for the work put in to this Site in such a short time. All guests staying over the Jubilee Weekend were invited to a communal BBQ - excellent hospitality! Forget the big Commercial Sites - if you want a beautiful Site, exceptionally friendly owners, good facilities, great location. What are you waiting for. Book now - before anybody else finds out about this great little Site!

We stayed for 2 nights over the Easter break. A really lovely little site, owners all very pleasant and keen to ensure our stay was comfy.

The toilets and showers are kept spotlessly clean, although there is only 1 loo for Ladies and 1 for Gents we didn't have any problems having to queue etc. Showers are unisex but again no problems.

The pitches are spacious, site very flat and great views of the mountains.

There is also a lot of space for children to play games in the middle of the site which was good fun. Very handy for visiting Betws y Coed which is a pretty little town.

We would stay here again, had a great time thanks.

We have just returned from a four day visit to this site. My first impression upon entering the site was how beautiful the view of the surrounding hillsides are.

We were greeted personally by the site owners who are extremely friendly and helpful. We had hired a three bedroomed pre-erected tent for our grandchildren which was dry/comfy/spacious and most importantly bug free!

The tent hire is great value for money and saved us lots of time and effort in not having to erect our own.

The children loved the chickens on site and fresh eggs are available from the site owners via a quick ring of a bell.

A few other essentials are available on site like milk, tea bags etc but it is only 5 mins by car to a local shop and a couple of supermarkets like Aldi in Llandudno are just 15-20 mins away so getting provisions is pretty easy.

The grounds are well looked after and the toilets are very clean and modern with a double shower available (great for washing a bunch of kids at once).

With only one womens and one mens toilet there may be a few mins wait but I can truly say that is the only gripe I had with our stay here and can highly recommend this site.

Erw Glas campsite, my partner and I stay here for 2 nights in our own tent this weekend gone. We wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life to relax and de-stress. We wanted a lovely quiet camp site to set up pitch, and in Erw Glas that is exactly what we got.

I’m a first time camper and was a bit hesitant to camping life, after my stay I’m a converted camper which was helped along by the excellent shower and toilet facilities along with the newly completed washing up facilities that are completed to very high standard and stunning views. I wasn’t expecting to find such brilliant facilities from a small site like Erw Glas, but I’m glad I was proved wrong.

My partner has been to a few other campsites that have amenities, such as bar/pub, shops and the likes and even though Erw Glas does not have any of these amenities, Erw Glas was the best site visited by far, that offers its customers a enjoyable realistic camping experience. Which is what camping is all about after all?

The site is located across 2 flat fields, which were ideal for pitching up our tent, with picturesque views of the Snowdonia Mountains, which were breathtaking with the sun setting behind them.

When we arrived we were met by the owners Steve and Naomi who gave us a very nice welcome and introduction to the site, they were always happy to chat and offer local tourist information along with the recommendation of the Indian Restaurant in the nearby village of Llanrwst that provided a takeaway service (Thanks Steve). They also have a little shop that provides the essentials you forget to pack, like milk, tea bags. They also offer to provide fold-a-way table and chairs for hire at £1 a night each.

Overall I cannot speak highly enough of Erw Glas and congratulate Steve and Naomi for all their hard work. I would highly recommend this campsite to anyone looking for a smashing little camp site and have already given my recommendation to my family and friends.

I have loved my stay so much I’m even looking to be going back for the August bank holiday, this time for a longer stay of 4 nights if there are spaces available. Fingers crossed there are.

This was our first visit to this campsite (June26-29 2011) and being a fairly new one there was only one review to read. However, it was a good review and so we decided to go for it as we wanted to do some walking in the area. When we arrived we had a friendly welcome and pitched our tent on flat, good ground. As has been mentioned, the toilet and shower facilities are second to none. They are easily the best we have encountered over many years camping and the showers were free which is always a bonus even if it's just trying to make sure you have the right change! The owners were both very friendly and approachable throughout our 3 night stay and even came up trumps with one of their own loaves when we had forgotton to pick one up earlier! Good advice was given when asked and the whole stay felt very relaxed. The only problem that we could foresee was that as this site becomes more popular (as it will) then they will struggle to cope given the fact that there is only one male and one female toilet and one double shower. So, if as we predict more people flock to this site then they will need to look at more facilities. A minor problem at this time and I'm sure as a builder the owner could rectify it very quickly. All in all we would highly recommend this site. Friendly owners and good level ground in easy striking distance of Snowdon, the coast and unlimited walks makes this a good bet. Thanks to you both and see you again soon.

Freddy and Tina (and Claire for 2 nights!)

What a lovely site this is. The site owners are very nice and friendly and are happy to help with anything.

We stayed at this site just for 1 night last weekend. We cheated and hired their 2 birth caravan.

Toilets and showers brand new and very clean.

I cant be too sure but I think they now have washing up facitities situated in the bin/recycle area.

We will most definitely be returning to this site with our own tent. I have recommended it to a few family members and close friends.

We received a wonderful warm welcome from owners Steve and Naomi. You guys deserve success with this venture. Honest, hard working people with high standards. Always available for a friendly chat, area information and helpful too.

Site set in well kept grounds. Flat pitches = comfortable stay!

Plenty of space to spread out so no tents on top of each other = Bonus! (especially for fellow campers as we had 3 noisy Grandchildren with us!)

Stunning views! !

Chickens on field = fresh eggs for breakfast! Yummy.

Main small market town 5 mins drive. With plenty of choice of pubs, eateries/ take aways plus a convenience store open until late.

20 mins drive from Llandudno. Which the kids loved!

Washing up facilities were in the process of being erected whilst we were there. Which will make doing the dishes easier than using the small sinks.

We were relieved to be able to rent a tent already erected for an extra £8. Per night. Bonus! as the weather on Friday eve was terrible! Pre bookable too for future info!

We feel that we've found Nirvana. We shall return. And soon. Shhh. Don't tell too many people about this place. We'll have to share it!

PS. recommend campers face your chairs to overlook the valley and hills. It can be tiring watching these owners working the way they do to keep this site up to their high standards!

Booked this site for Mayday Bank Holiday, arriving on the Friday of the Royal Wedding. Was a bit apprehensive on the way, with it being a new site and no reviews.

Arrived to a lovely little site, with the owners house, and their holiday cottage at the top of the two field site.

There was only a couple of tents, a motorhome and a caravan there already, so we were told to pitch wherever we liked, and that the motorhome was about to leave if we wanted to pitch there. We did, right in the secluded bottom corner, with views right out over the valley into the hills. Pitches were large, and flat, with no stones. EHU was available but we decided against it when we booked.

Facilities were the nicest, and cleanest at any site we've ever been. There was a single mens toilet with washing facilities, and a single womens toilet with washing facilities, which were new and spotless. Also there was a large shower room, with 2 brand new showers in, scorching hot, and powerful jets. This is a great idea for families with small children. The showers were again brand new and spotless, indeed we would have been happy to have the showers in our own bathroom at home.

While there is currently no dedicated washing up facilities, they are in progress, and the site is more than happy for you to use the sinks in the toilets for your washing up.

There was no playground as such for children, but were fine to play ball games etc on the fields.

The site is located on the main A470 Llandudno to Llanrwst road, but isn't overly noisy from traffic during the day, and is quiet enough at night. While there isn't really a pub or village in walking distance, the site is an excellent base for the North Wales coast, Snowdonia etc.

The owners were fantastic, friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much hassle for them, and were always available if you needed anything. There was fresh eggs, milk, cold drinks, crisps, choc bars etc available at the office.

We were lucky with the weather, and even came back sunburnt. All in all, we had a fantastic time at Erw Glas, and will be going back in the next month or so.
