I stayed at Europa Park with a group of 12 mates (all 17/18 years old) in two static caravans and we had an absolutely fantastic week. We took advantage of a "pay for 3 nights, get 2 free" offer so we ended up paying £66 each for 5 nights which I thought was very reasonable indeed. Not an awful lot is included in this price though so know what is included and what isn't - for example bed linen costs extra so we all took sleeping bags. You have to pay for electricity but my advice would be don't buy the card until you really need it as it goes down slowly - we used £2 electricity in 5 nights. There were only 5 statics onsite but the two we had were spacious and fully-equipped – very impressed. The staff on site were really helpful and great fun. The clubhouse was brilliant – it had pool tables, darts, a quiz machine, penny machines and a good restaurant. Happy hour from 9pm-10pm meant buy-one-get-one-free on all drinks but they were not dear to start with. The music in the clubhouse was just amazing, with a great mix of club anthems and jukebox classics. The price includes use of the indoor swimming pool and sauna – we used these a lot but I imagine they get busy during high season and the pool is really small. The view from the site is stunning on a clear day. The site is also easy to find as it is on the main road into Woolacombe. The Spar shop on site is very dear with little choice. Use the Londis in Woolacombe as it’s much cheaper. The walk into Woolacombe is not a lot of fun – the road does not have a pavement for long stretches and the hill is steep so it’s a long walk back, though there is a bus. But it’s worth the effort – Woolacombe is a beautiful resort with a fantastic beach. I would not advise families to consider Europa Park, but for small or large groups of young people it was perfect and I would recommend it to anyone.

We stayed here in desparation when everywhere else was full. We had to pay £10 per person per night as it was peak season, so our family of four with two children of 13 & 15 ( who had to pay adult prices!) paid £80 to spend two nights here! The toilets, showers & washing up areas were inadequate for the size of the site (which another reviewer has commented on). Some showers didn't work at all, and some were dirty. The best were in the pool building but had a communal changing area. We had a wonderful view of the sea which helped to make up for the negative points. Supplies are available from the shop in the petrol station. They suggest families stay in one area & surfers stay in another. We were in the middle but were still kept awake by surfer lads being noisy, we did not here any noise from the clubhouse. The site is on a hill so is steep in places. One mile downhill walk to beach, therefore tiring uphill walk back! We parked in the big field car park - £5 a day. Need coins to get out, but there was a man on the gate supplying them. I would only stay here again if desperate.

July 2005 6 of us stayed at this site, for the last few days of june and first few days of july.
We had not booked, but at this stage the site was fairly quiet as the school holidays had not yet started. Prices for camping were £6 per person, which seems very reasonable considering free use of the pool and sauna is included in that. Other facilities include the clubhouse with a reasonably priced bar with friendly staff, pool tables, arcade machines etc, a laundry and a fantastic view down the valley to the beach and Lundy island. There is also a petrol station literally at the entrance to the site, with a Spar shop which sells all sorts of things, although it's rather pricey so the trip into Woolacombe is worth it.
The basics on the site are quite good. Some pitches could be flatter but by the looks of things there has been a lot of levelling work done and ours was fine. Some of the toilet/shower blocks are a little outdated but allways seem to be clean, so it didn't really bother us. While we were staying they were also in the process of resurfacing the roads on the site, so it's nice to see money is actively being spent on improvements.
In terms of distance from Woolacombe, and all importantly, from the beach, it's about a mile. The road up the valley is rather steep so going by car is recommended. The car park by the beach is a complete ripoff but there is one litterally a few meters away next to the pitch and putt range which charges £3.50 per day and you can leave and return as many times in the day as you wish on the same ticket.
Overall I was quite impressed with the site, and would probably stay there again if we returned to Woolacombe.

June 2005 We felt this site offered excellent value for money. It was £6 per night per person (for stays of 2 nights or more). You can pay extra to exploit an excellent shuttle bus service to and from Woolacombe, saving parking fees.
The site takes both groups and families but separates them hopefully ensuring a nice quiet night for family visitors. The pitching was spacious with hedges separating little areas dotted around the site. We easily found a nice flat pitch.
I was very impressed with the facilities. I did wonder when I walked into the shower block because the floor was wet but when I took a shower I realised this was because the showers were very powerful (and hot) better than my shower at home! My happiest moment was when I saw that they do not provide the blowers that have no puff but put in several points (at no extra charge) so you can take your own. This was bliss, I could both dry and straighten my hair. Furthermore, there was also a fridge/freezer at facility area I was using that you could pop bits and bobs in. I took advantage of this and all my stuff was still there later in the day. I'm not sure how full it would get in high season though. There was a further shower block that I didn't look at and a brand new one being built while we were there. On the downside, my partner was less impressed with the men's shower room but said it wouldn't stop him returning.
Overall, I would definitely visit this site again.

August 2004 This site saved our sanity! Headed to Devon at the beginning of the recent week of floods and tempests. Looked at a few in this area but this was the cheapest one with indoor facilities. Pitched in the pouring rain and then belted into the club house for food. They serve great barmeals and even do an excellent value buffet breakfast! Doesn't sound much like camping I hear you say?? Ok, not our usual surfing style but it was fantastic for that particular few days. Great shop / takeaway in garage at foot of slope too.

July 2004 Prices seem to have gone up since earlier reviews - £25 a night for family tent. The location of this site is superb, with views over Woolacombe bay.
The loos and showers are inadequate for the size of the site, and were grubby. The washing up area was also rough, both were a long walk from most camping pitches. There is an unattractive clubhouse in the middle of the site from which there is a jukebox with an outside speaker to inflict other peoples music on the rest of us. We stayed 2 nights and on both nights there were people up until 3am
There did seem to be plenty of space, and there is a 24 hour Spar shop attached to the garage next door which I think is run by the same people.
This could be a top site with a bit more thought and investment. Having looked at some other sites in the area it was definitely not the worst, but I would not go back.

2000 As mentioned by others this site is very cheap for the area with fantastic views of Lundy Island. The pool is small but the kids loved it after a day at the beach. We just turned up on the day and were given a flat pitch on the lower field which is a short up hill walk passed the club house and the holiday bungalows. We initially only booked for 2 nights but ended up staying for 10 nights as we enjoyed the site and the area. We also used the well stocked shed for all our daily needs and the club house did a mean breakfast.

july 2002 We have just spent 4 nights at this site. We drove down on having not booked and phoned a veiwed about 3 sites in the area.
We choose this site because at £12 per night for tent 2 adults and 1 child. The site has a clubhouse and indoor swimming pool. It all sounds to good for £12 and it was.
The pool was no bigger that 25foot square and got very busy after a day on the beach. The shop was a shed on the site.
The site is very hilly and what not easy to find a flat surface. The toliet block always seems wet and below avarage but there was a lot of hot water.
The club house was well used and the music stopped at 11pm. However, some of the surfers continued to party on.
The site over the road was charging £25 per night and we felt is this site charged £15.00 per night and spent a little money on it it could be good.
Location is good and the beach at woolacombe is very nice but you do have to pay £4.00 to park or walk about half an hour down hill three quartes up hill to the site. View of the sea is nice the high up the site you go.
In all we would not visit this site again.
Keep the reveiws coming.
Happy camping.
