A beautifully maintained little site in a very peaceful location. We spent a week, 2 adults and a dog, mostly enjoying the walks from the site.
Facilities very clean and bright, pub friendly and welcoming. The owners grow herbs and vegetables on site which are used in the pub meals, which were very good.
Just down the lane is a plant nursery that also sells preserves, fruit, cakes etc, plus cottages selling eggs. All very handy if, like us, you prefer not driving out for supplies.
There are a couple of hook ups available, a small enclosed dog area, and picnic benches by the pitches. Perhaps best suited to adults as it is a quiet site without play equipment.
Highly recommended.

A lovely campsite, brilliant stop over site if travelling South from the north or midlands. But also a great site for local walks, Montacute House(NT) and visiting Yeovil.
Toilet and shower facilities (heated) are first class, unisex, clean with lovely hot water. Hooks and rack for towel, clothes and soap'gel etc in showers plus very useful fold down seat outside to sit and dry one's feet. Wash basins include soap and paper towels, there are also w/u facilities in the block complete with w/u liquid and scourer/sponge. Plus baby change fold down table and iron and ironing board.
Site is slightly sloping at the top but levels out at bottom. Well kept grass, plenty of EHU and a useful dog exercise enclosure. Excellent beer, also home brew available and very good food available in the pub. Local information details provided together with laminated mini O/S Maps with instructions for walking/dog walking. 5* site £15 per night for 2 adults and a dog

What a find! Set in a pretty village, behind the pub, the site is clean, orderly and quiet.
The facilities are superb, and staff at the pub welcoming and helpful. The food at the pub - including breakfast, is superb and good value.
Well worth a visit, with three National Trust gems close by.

This is an excellent site, lovely setting lots of space around the pitches. The facilities block is kept lovely and clean and the showers were excellent.
The pub itself is fantastic we only stayed one night but managed a three course meal in the evening and full English breakfast the following morning. Ten out of ten, brilliant standard and very friendly people.
I'm sure we will be returning
The entrance is a bit narrow but you are warned prior to arrival so it wasn't a shock

Stayed here as a halfway point up to/back from North Devon and so glad we did as it's lovely. Communal toilets and showers, absolutely spotless.
Pub and site is in a tiny picturesque village. Staff were very friendly, barmaid gave me a jugful of milk for free when I realised I'd forgotten to bring some (no shop in immediate vicinity).
Ate at the pub on both nights and food was gorgeous. Definitely recommend.

We have just spent 4 nights at this site.
The Masons Arms, pub, B&B and Campsite is reasonably priced, location is very good - less than 10 minutes drive to the Asda near Yeovil and les than 5 to Montacute House ( National Trust ) The people in the pub were very friendly and the food was superb.
The camp site is really only suitable for camper vans but not so good for tents as the facilities are limited. It is supposed to have 15 pitches.
There are two toilets and two showers in a unisex block and one washing up sink. No washing machine/tumble dryer which would be useful for longer stays.
The showers have no benches or seats within and I would advise female campers to take a dressing gown.
It would be good if the owners could take an opportunity to use the showers themselves and see the problems.
However, The food and home brewed beer in the pub goes some way to making up for this.

This is a small campsite in a field behind the pub. The village of Lower Odcombe is very small and quiet and the surroundings idyllic (although we were entertained by watching some helicopters practicing their manoeuvres - I assume from RNAS Yeovilton).
There is a fairly tight turn into the entrance with parked cars opposite but we negotiated it without too much trouble and were soon down in the camping field, which was very full. We had a little trouble getting sorted out with a suitable pitch from which we could stretch our hook-up cable to one of the EHU (although we had booked, all the pitches next to the bollards were taken, some by people who weren't using the electricity), but as we have a long cable we got sorted without too much of an issue.
The pub also caters for B&B guests and the facilities for campers are tagged onto the end of the extension containing the B&B rooms, and are cleaned daily to the same excellent standard. There are two toilets, two showers, hand basins, a washing up sink, baby changing table and an iron and ironing board available (very useful as we were there to attend a wedding and I was able to smarten up our outfits!), and a chemical toilet point just outside. There was also a standpipe nearer to the camping field.
We didn't use any other local facilities as it was rather a flying visit, but the pub did offer the service of ordering various staples (milk, bread rolls, croissants etc as well as morning newspapers) to be delivered the following morning so we were able to have some pain au chocolats delivered to have with our coffee.
We ate our breakfast in the pub and the food was excellent - the sausages were definitely not the 'catering' sort! The pots of tea and coffee were large which was just what we needed.
The owners of the pub were very much in evidence and both friendly and welcoming, as were the rest of the staff who we met. We would definitely go back and would be happy to recommend it to our friends.

Very narrow entrance to the site, but a lovely area to pitch, quite level. Everything was to hand, water supply electric. Loos and showers very clean and a good idea with the drying lines outside for the towels. All very friendly in the pub, I liked the home brewed real ales, but we found the meals very pricey for the quality and quantity, but we ate there for two nights. Area very good to explore NT sites, very picturesque, would definitely return

Only stayed here for one night but would of loved to stay longer as made to feel so welcome.
Showers and toilets unisex but so clean. There are printed dog walks to take around the village which is brilliant.
The pub food was lovely, more an eating pub than a drinkers pub but never the less the beer garden would be a wonderful place to sit and have a pint or three in the sun.
Very dog friendly, would defo go again.

We have just returned from a four night break here. We were greeted by the owner who showed us to our pitch. We tow an enormously long unit but still managed to drive in as the neighbouring parking spaces were vacant allowing for a sweep in, otherwise the mover would have been essential. (The owners asked the neighbours to leave space for us to swing out on leaving too as we planned to depart early on a Sunday morning and didn't want to cause a disturbance by having difficulty leaving. )
Unfortunately we pitched too far over and were politely asked to move the next day to release some space which was a bit of a pain as the awning etc was all set up, but lesson learned, establish the exact area available before setting up.
The pub is warm and welcoming with lovely food and friendly staff.
The weather was just a bit too cold to enjoy the local walks with the dogs but we'll definitely return here for another relaxing cosy break and explore the surrounding countryside.
The only small downside was the temperature in the shower block. The weather outside didn't exceed 2 degrees over our stay and as a result the radiator in the shower room just didn't provide enough warmth for dressing, but the room was lovely and clean and the water hot.
Looking forward to heading back to the Masons Arms later in the year.
