We really enjoyed our stay at Redcliffe last week. The campsite is so well looked after and is one of the most peaceful we have stayed at. The facilities are excellent and kept so clean and tidy, and yet we never spotted the cleaners who do such a good job! The owners presence on the morning rounds was reassuring but not heavy handed as on some sites and they were delightfully friendly on the couple of occasions we saw them to speak to. Having the facility to keep freezer packs cold was a real bonus as it enabled us enjoy a chilled bottle of wine at just the right moments! The 20 minute leisurely walk along the path to Wareham is a delight and having such a lovely town with lots of pubs, cafe's independent shops and a rather nice icecream parlour on The Quay makes both day times and evenings very pleasant. Go to the RSPB Reserve at Arne and try the cliff walk round Kimmerage Bay.
We have been confirmed 'Cornwall-ites' for many years but thanks to this lovely site, Dorset will probably be top of the list next year!

Just Lovely
Just stayed two nights with Motorhome. Well mown field with lots of space and hook ups. Very nice lady on booking popped around in the morning to collect payment. Easy 20mins walk into Wareham, ideal bird watching along the riverside, we also saw deer everyday grazing. Toilets and showers clean and fine - 20p for shower.
Very relaxing!

Lovely site, everything as we hoped it would be. We wondered how quiet it would be (we're adults only) when we saw the number of vans on the caravan field but there was no problem. Quiet field slopes a fair bit but was nice & secluded. Good idea this, wish more sites had one. Toilet block a bit of a hike from the main tent field but field is in a lovely location. Toilets/showers always beautifully clean, hot water soap & drier. Owners very friendly & helpful but not intrusive in any way which we appreciated.
All in all we had a great time & hope to be back!

Spent 1 week here in August 2014 and had a wonderful time (2 pitches, 4 adults, 7 kids and a dog). Stayed in the back field with EHU. Shower block proved to be an unnecessary concern, the 20p meter system kept everyone moving and we didn't have to queue for a shower during our stay. Wareham is within very easy walking distance and has a small Sainburys and plenty of places to eat and drink. Recommend to canoeing/boating, great value.
Plenty of space for the kids and the dog.
Would benefit from a playground as this creates a good place for kids to make new friends. Hence rating 8 for child friendliness.
Will stay at this site again without doubt.

Recently returned from this camp site and found it the perfect site to visit all of Dorset. Quite central to Weymouth & Bournemouth. The site itself is in such a lovely setting. As you drove down the lane you were greeted by a beautiful river, which makes for a lovely walk into Wareham itself. Site itself was well laid out. Good size pitches. Clean shower and toilet blocks. Other campers on site were very respectful and it was always quiet after 10. 30pm. I know people say they want to keep a certain camp site to themselves, but this is truly meant here. My partner and I loved it and are sure to return.

Just returned from a wonderful long weekend camping with a group of other families at Redcliffe Farm.
The campsite had a very organised but relaxed feel. Although busy, we didn't feel too 'penned in' or close to other campers. The toilets & showers were always clean, whatever time of day it was. Although only 3 shower cubicles, we didn't have to wait too long (if at all) for a space. Take a batch of 20p's along with you - 1 x 20p was enough for me to wash & condition my hair, and the water was always powerful and hot.
Whilst the addition of a on-site shop would have been good, it's not too far to walk into Wareham along the tow-path (15 - 20 mins at a gentle pace). There is a lovely pub restaurant on the quay (The Old Granary), lots of lovely shops, boat hire kiosks and a Sainsburys / Cooperative. I would also recommend getting your ice-creams from a lovely community cafe called 'Not just Sundaes' - fab food at fab prices.
The river is very close-by, and the campsite has it's own slip-way for boat owners to access the water. We all had a great time larking around on kayaks. Brilliant!
The owners are very welcoming and friendly, and, quite rightly, make sure everyone is obeying the campsite rules. This ensures everyone has a relaxing time.
I look forward to returning next year (or maybe sooner!)

We have just returned from a fantastic weekend. We stayed in a tent, finding the pitch large, flat and in a good position. The facilities on site were perfect for our needs, preferring not to have a club/ bar/ entertainment. The wash facilities were clean and 20 p lasted long enough for a shower.
The location is perfect. We were with a group of families and between us, had quite a few children. The older children were able to walk along the path into Wareham and the younger ones made the most of the open space and kiosk by the slip way. Everyone enjoyed the river. Some got wetter than others! We all enjoyed the walk into Wareham and sitting by the river with a take away!
Only downside was coming home!

We have just returned from a fabulous weekend at Redcliffe farm. The setting on the river is stunning. We have all thoroughly enjoyed kayaking up and down the river. The walk to Wareham is very pleasant. Wareham is a lovely little town with nice pubs, shops and takeaways.
The toilets and showers were always very clean. Although there were only 3 showers I never saw any queues. The campsite in general was well maintained.
The owners were lovely and very helpful. I am certain we will be returning to this campsite in the future

Arriving via some tricky narrow lanes we were pleasantly surprised by the large field with plenty of room to choose our pitch.
The friendly owners collected our money the next morning.
The slip way is an excellent facility with a small launch fee - £1 for kayaks - kayaked up and down the Wareham river. Hot shower in a clean toilet block afterwards cost 20 pence.
A walk along the river path took us to the Saturday market in Wareham followed by fish and chips - The Chippery had a great product but chaotic service.

I am staying here right now and will stay as long as possible. Lovely site, peaceful without being boring.
It obviously attracts families with well behaved real children who like to play real games outside. Lovely to see.
The owners are friendly and helpful. Lavatorles and showers ale clean. Lovely location near the river and the lovely little town of Wareham.
Lots of beaches near by including the famous studland naturist beach.
