Very friendly no frills campsite in excellent location
This basic farm campsite is very well run in a fantastic location with friendly, warm and helpful owners. It's excellent value for money. Pitches are generous.
There's lovely walks on the doorstep including one to nearby pub The Plough with delicious food (esp Goat's Cheese Starter)
There's easy access to the South Downs and the coast. Facilities are perfect for no frills campers, very clean and felt completely safe from coronavirus. So toilets and hot showers and an outdoor sink for washing up.
Dogs are welcome.
There's also a snack shack, logs and kindling for open fires, access - via owners - for power for chargers and freezer for ice packs. Camping was round the edge of a large field - will definitely visit again when returning to the area

We booked this last minute to get away from building
orks at home and we had a fabulous time. We stayed in the pond area which was beautiful. June and the team were friendly and chatty and welcoming.
Thoroughly recommend.

Lovely friendly site, where dogs and kids are welcome. Facilities constantly cleaned, lovely food van on site and supplies such as wood, lighters etc available.
Close to many attractions and sites of interest, plus easy to find.
Had a lovely stay, where the owner takes pride in her campsite.
Will visit again.

Lovely 2 night stay with very friendly hosts.
Great value for money, good location for visiting local attractions, and really enjoyed the food from the snack van which was very fairly priced.
Would definitely use this site again.

The price was very reasonable as it was only £10 per person and this is what you got:
The plot of land was very generous.
It is next to Oakfield farm so the views at the campsite are lovely and it was very peaceful. The areas surrounding it like the reservoir offer great hiking routes and with it being a reasonable distance to Berwick train station, it is a perfect for a nice get away.
The staff were lovely and were very helpful, eg they offered us the best routes to travel, gave us maps of the area to plan our walks and even drove us to the train station.
The toilet shower was excellent with adjustable temperature and power gauges.
In terms of services, there is a food and drink stand that only provides fresh produce among other confectionery. The prices are very fair and the food is delicious.
The staff even charge your phones.
There is a car park just next to the campsite.

A fantastic site!
I camped with my two young daughters, with our friends on the next pitch along. June had planned perfectly where to best position is and the pitch shared a pre dug fire pit.
It was simple back to basics camping with the added luxury of hot showers and clean toilets.
Parking the car away from the tent added to the wild camping feel.
We have the best time here and will be back!

We’ve just spent a wonderful weekend at Oakfield Farm, it was the perfect first camping experience for our children, aged 3 and 4. Even through the heavy rain of the Saturday night, they loved it so much they asked if they could live there!
The family field is ideal for children to run about in, the toilets are spotless and there’s a very welcome a snack van selling bacon rolls in the morning and baked potatoes, burgers and chips in the evening run by the lovely Julie, who my eldest girl fell in love with!
June, who runs the campsite, was so helpful and on it, she also takes the children to try milking their cow, Pansy, in the mornings and they get to try the fresh milk, which they loved.
They are obviously very passionate about animal welfare also. All in all this friendly campsite exceeded expectations and we’re already thinking about when we can go back!

We had a fantastic time, June and Nick made a real effort to make sure we were looked after.
Our kids, 2 and 5 had a super time, milking the cows, playing with the piglets and helping feed them, playing in the fields, walking, eating ice creams and many other fun experiences.

I pitched up with my brand new four man tent only to find that the lightest gust was already blowing it inwards. Whilst I waited for my partner to arrive the site owner kindly offered to locate a spare tent and ten minutes later she had 'loaned' me, FOC, two tents!
They got us through the first night and I was able to secure something far more suitable for the remaining two nights but her help was hugely appreciated and above and beyond what would be expected.
Lovely setting, spacious, fairly basic facilities but this is camping at its best not glamping so what do you expect?!
