We stayed here by mistake, having said that, it was a very nice mistake. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The toilets were extremely clean, and being there on a Sunday afternoon meant that we had the whole campsite to ourselves which was very peaceful.
The only issue was the noise from the A22 which kept us awake most of the night. I can imagine this being a great campsite over the weekend for a party with a campfire. You can recycle most of your rubbish except landfill which you have to take with you. All in all a good campsite.
The Old Mill Campsite we were planning on going to had its sign covered by a wheelie bin, however, we had a look around and this was even nearer the A22 and more caravan/motorhome based than tents, so I was pleased to have just followed the words campsite without looking at the name on this occasion.

Myself and my 2 boys stayed at Oakfield Farm for only 3 nights, but found the site to be level, well kept, clean and tidy at all times. The owners were more than helpful and gave us a local map of the area and shops etc. , which proved to be of great use. The toilet blocks were kept very clean and the shower there was more than adequate even if a little on the small side. They provided wood for the camp fire at £5 per basket and was more than enough and cheaper than the local stores. The pitches are around the outside of the field in the family area with a large playing area for the kids in the middle. Plenty of fresh water taps are there and there is a small 'adults only' area field and pond off to one corner if you don't want to be near kids. The campsite is very quiet and just what you want for a 'back to nature' camping trip. All the local cafes were good quality and the local pubs a real treat with a good selection of ales for those who want it and very family friendly too. The only problem I found was getting 'June' to take the campsite money from me! I would strongly recommend this site to anyone wanting to explore the Sussex area and planning a camping trip to do it.

Lovely campsite - facilities were basic but very clean. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The baskets of wood were brought to us every evening - lovely logs to burn as well! The location is great, just off the A22, with some lovely pubs close by. Great idea to have an adults only section - we were lucky enough to have this to ourselves for a couple of nights too! Will definitely come back here.

I was part of a group of ten adults who stayed on this site and absolutely loved it. We has the adult field to ourselves (you can reserve it exclusively if there are 10+ of you) which was perfect as it meant we could stay up talking without the risk of disturbing others. It's a beautiful spot and the (basic) facilities are very clean and pleasant. The ability to have camp fires is also a huge bonus. I would highly recommend.

This is a real gem of a site. Visited with 3 friends for a night to relax and get back to nature. This site was perfect. Don't expect showers, drying rooms and all mod cons, but do expect a wonderful flat field (separate adult and family fields a great idea as we didn't feel we couldn't talk after dark!), incredibly helpful owners and a place to seriously unwind. AND you can have a fire. Toilets were kept very clean and there were plenty of them, never saw a queue. We didn't venture out of the site but there was a garage with a shop very close by. Loved this site and will definitely be back!

A great site for families, the children loved the freedom and space the site gave them to ride their bikes and run around. The Owner done everything possible to make our stay fun including letting us milk the cow and bringing the goats down to the tents. A great pub about 2 miles away easily reached down quiet tracks. The only down side was the road noise which was carried on the wind but it didn't spoil our stay.

We just got back from a night at Oakfield farm, and frankly I think it was even better than the last time we stayed.
We were there with a handful of friends, one of whom had never camped before, and it was fantastic. The owners always make you feel completely welcome.
The site strikes a perfect balance of unspoilt grassland and facilities. There is ample room in a very pretty space, the pond field is particularly pretty. The ground is mainly flat and comfortable.
The facilities are always clean and are sufficient for what you need, but they are discrete and never in the way or a focal point. As a result it always feels like you are part of the landscape, rather than on a campsite.
Even better, you can make an open fire and even learn to milk Pansy in the morning, and get an insight into what a real farm is like.
For me this is the perfect campsite and I intend to continue going back.

We have just returned from a lovely weekend at Oakfield Farm. Very friendly service from owners. The children enjoyed milking Pansy the Jersey cow on Sunday morning. Great for children, lots of space to run and play. Our children made many new friends. Clean facilities with hot/cold water. Pitches are spacious on a flat stone-free mowed field. Would be happy to recommend to anybody wanting a simple get away.

Had a lovely time at this campsite with our two young children. It is a basic site so don't expect comfy showers blocks or laundry service. However do expect a host who really cares about your welfare and that you have a good time. We ran out of gas for our stove and they saved us within moments. There are flushing loos, hot water, 24 hour garage/Spar with 5 minute adult walk, lots of great local pubs and things to do. This is a real gem for campers. Romantics log fires are allowed as well !

As a newcomer to camping and my first trip with my 6 yr old niece, I was daunted as I had never put up a tent before! Nick the owner was so kind to help me.
The welcome was excellent and June and Nick offered any help we wanted. I was very surprised at the cleanliness of the toilets and washing facilities.
The views were stunning, and the country walks were great. I especially enjoyed milking Pansy. An excellent site for very little money.
