I have stayed here two or three times, but the last one just shows how clean the loo block is. I arrived around midnight for a stopover with a small two man tent. Around three am a massive storm brewed up and my tent blew down. I gave up and got in the car, but that wasn't very comfortable, so I took my airbed into the loo block and had a very quiet and clean sleep under the sinks until breakfast. Immaculate!

Wonderful site, well placed for Polzeath Beach.
Very friendly welcome and the owners are around most of the day and always say hello and give you a smile.
The site is very well cared for, the pitches are not huge, but also not too cramped. Nice to go to a site without lots of 'Do Not.'' notices everywhere. The shower block was always clean and there was always plenty of hot water.
A nice touch is 2 freezers for ice packs are free to use.
The pool is quite small but it was perfect for the children although the water was a bit chilly.
A lovely site, we will return as it's the best we have found in the area.

Some changes since last year which add to site. The road in the main touring field has been improved, some more hard standing / gravel pitches have been added for caravans and a small car park near the toilet block which will improve the stay for those camped nearby.
We were in the 2nd camping field for the first time and had a great stay. Pitches marked with posts and nice and big for our Idaho XL. We understand that the pitch we were on and the surrounding ones will have 'wooden lodges' on them next year - so back to the main field.
All comments from my previous reviews still stand about the friendly owners, location etc etc etc.
We're booked for 2010!

This is one of the best kept secrets in north cornwall. A clean, quiet, spacious friendly site i've ever stayed at. Nice pool and small games room. Toilet/showers you could eat your dinner in
Family always around to say hi and always a polite chat love this site stayed many times.
Small play area in the far area of the site and a dog walk.

Another great holiday on our favourite site - see my earlier reviews. We have already booked for 2009.
Again a summer blessed with rain and I had every sympathy with the owners as they did everything in their power to minimise the impact to the pitches and site in general. It was inevitable that the grass would suffer and get very muddy but they did a sterling job and our holiday was all the better for it.
It says on here that there are 27 pitches but there are at least double that. Location difficult to beat with New Polzeath just a couple of miles drive, Wadebridge for a big Tesco and the Camel Trail to Padstow etc.
Simply, lovely!

Just come back from a lovely week at this site. I agree with everything already said on prior reviews. The showers and toilets were certainly spotless although I actually thought the water in the showers was ever so slightly too hot. Maybe the fact that we got some really warm weather and I was ready for a cool down made me think this so I don't think the shower temperature actually needs to be altered. In the cooler months the hot showers would surely be great!
The Four Ways pub down the road is actually more like 15 minutes walk rather than 5 but it's certainly worth a visit - just don't go in heels! A very warm welcome awaits you, and the food and cider is pretty good too.
Our tent pitch was more than ample - we had room for a 4-berth tent, a day room and our car plus enough room around us so we could sit and relax in the sunshine in comfort and without invading anyone else's space. Nice and flat pitch too! Lots of FREE hot water for the showers and washing up sinks which is always a plus point for me and the Wi-Fi connection proved very useful so we could keep a check on what the next day's weather had in store. Nice friendly folks running the site although we didn't use the shop or games room so didn't really see them apart from when we checked in. The swimming pool seemed very popular with other campers but personally we didn't use that either.
If we didn't live so far away - around 5 and a half hours, we would certainly be visiting again soon.

Stayed on this site during the great floods of August 2008.
Despite the weather the site was great, the owners/management were very helpful using a tractor to position vans.
The toilets and showers were cleaned twice a day and never seemed to get too muddy despite the rain.
Along side of the toilet blocks were individual toilet/washing rooms one even had a bath in it, again nice and clean.
The camping field is on a slight slope but not that bad as to be a problem.
The site has a basic shop and a games room with pool and table football available but nothing too commercial.
The pool is a bit small so it is really only any good for the little uns.
The site is a couple of miles from the nearest beach which was Rock a nice up market sailing type resort opposite Padstow. Other beaches and seaside towns were about 5 miles away, Port Isac (Doc Martain fame).
I would recommend this site as a good reasonable priced family holiday and will use it again.

Stayed at this site last year and enjoyed it so much booked again for this.
Site is small, quiet but fantastic! Toilets and showers are spotless, there are two washing machines and a tumble dryer which came in very useful due to the rainy weather.
Staff helped us get our van on its pitch again due to so much rain and threw down load of gravel for us to put our awning on, again due to the rain.
All in all fantastic site and really enjoyed our stay there.

Our return for our 2nd main holiday at this site and despite the weather we had a great time.
A number of pitches were closed due to the continual rain running up to and during the summer but these were cordoned off discretely and didn't affect our enjoyment at all.
Toilets spotless and well cared for, hot water and showers free and plentiful, a couple of private toilet cubicles, a bath(!), a small heated indoor pool, a shop, <5 minutes drive from Polzeath - great! We're booked for 2008.
One constructive criticism? When full - which in the peak times the site invariably is - there is no space for kids to play e.G. Football, cricket etc. Every space is a pitch.

A good site, spotless facilities as previously stated. Handy for touring the local area and about 4 miles from Wadebridge which has a large Co-op with a good selection of wine. Also near to Polzeath for the surfing and a few miles from Tintagel and Padstow. The swimming pool looked nice although we didn't use it.
