Andy you are one in a million what a gentleman…
We stayed for 9 days wish it was longer…
Just to say THANKS for a lovely stay just a shame some costumers were very rude to you and it’s not fair when you have done your up most to keep them happy you get a bad review…
We have seen it first hand, people can be so rude to you and it not fair…you’re a gentleman and we will see you again very soon.

Quiet location, access road very bumpy,
Level site basic amenities. Rudimentary washing and waste disposal. Ground can be very damp for tent users.
But pleasantly peaceful
A long way from shops pubs and there's a small airport nearby
However loads of crows, owls, bats, Robins and sparrows.

We spent a very quiet, relaxing week at Hobground. We had plenty of room for our pitch. For some of the week we were the only tent in the field.
Friendly owner with his two very well behaved labradors made us feel welcome.
Plenty of wildlife to watch out for (foxes, squirrels, owls, birds of prey etc. ) Great place to unwind. I expect we'll be back next year.
The showers and toilets were closed because of Covid, but this was made clear beforehand so we came prepared with our own facilities.

Pleasantly surprised at the location after being taken up a narrow track at the edge of the site by Google Maps.
Everything was at hand and the warden really helpful throughout our stay.
Great starting point for walks.

Nice and tidy site. Central to some lovely places to visit like Helmsley or Pickering. Short drive across the moors to Scarborough /Whitby.
Quiet site and owner pops round every day to check all ok and everyone happy.
Will return and I recommend if you like a quite peaceful pitch.

Unfortunately as a family with young children who like to run around and explore I felt it was too limited for them they could not could not really move from our pitch area. We could not walk out of the campsite as a family to explore as the road was far too dangerous and this left us with bored children and unfortunately we left after 1 night.
The owner was always around and if you require anything he was happy to help.
We felt this campsite is more for those who want to pitch up and stay in the tent.

10 out of 10. If you want a quiet family friendly site then this is the place.
We were advised there were no toilet and shower facilities available due to corona so we turned up prepared.
The owner was friendly the setting was lovely and we had a fantastic weekend.

Just home from a great stay at this gem of a site.
First trip out in our new caravan!
We were self- contained as no showers or toilets due to Covid, but no problem to us.
Great basic, quiet retreat made for a relaxing stay.
Lovely helpful, attentive owner.
Firepits & logs available, we took our own which wasn't a problem.
Will be returning at some point
Thanks for having us.
