 A super site. We only had a very short stay on the site but in that time we had a fantastic stay. As its name suggests it is next to the river which is great to sit and watch the kingfishers and wag tails going about their business. All the pitches are next to the river and the site is very spacious. The facilities are very clean and well kept. If you have a dog there is a great fenced off area where fido can be let off the lead to do his stuff. Everything about the site is well kept !
The owners of the site are very friendly and very welcoming.
On arrival the chap moved a picnic table and chairs to our pitch so we could enjoy the view of the river. He also sourced a little seat for our son. Later on in the stay he let our little boy play with a ball and space hopper - there was no need other than being a nice host. I also learnt the owners do a lot of work for cancer charities allowing respite stays. I thought that was a really nice thing to do.
Getting back to the site. It is perfectly located for Clumber park and other local attractions. Price was very competitive.
No electric or showers though.
If you're looking for a nice quiet site with no fuss, great hosts, a perfect location and good value for money - this is the one for you.

What a gem of a Certified Site, a friendly enthusiastic owner can't help you enough. Its on the river Meaden and a very pretty site in is with very well tended and cut grass and beautiful flowers plus tomatoes and bean you as a camper can pick No electric of course but good and clean wc's and a well stocked info. Hut. The local take-aways will deliver to the site too. We paid just £9 per night and were so impressed we stayed on the way North and again on the way South. We were very impressed and will go often I'm sre. A model CS I would say. Its looking to host small rallies in the future.

We were invited to Riverside Gardens by some friends for a birthday gathering and were really happy with what awaited us there. This is a lovely little site set on the bank of the River Meden with the nearest shops only 5 minutes away.
The owners were really friendly and welcoming and explained how the site had come about and also their plans for the future. The site is open plan with no pitch markers so you can choose your own spot and there is a dog exercise area at one end. We had a great time here and will be returning in the future.
