I'm worried that if I do too good a review I won't be able to get in next time! Great value at £10 a night in advance for my 2 man tent. Just what I wanted on my very limited budget.
Others may have a different view but I enjoyed my short stay here. If you want more glam use the site up the road.
Site manager very quick to reply with booking and paying online (BACS) simple.
Quiet and friendly site with no fuss. Arrive from 1pm leave by 11am.
It is essentially a small field with hook up points; super lush green grass and ground where tent pegs went in perfectly for me.
Clean loos and showers but sometimes you may have to wait; no bother as usually someone friendly to chat to.
Adequate washing up area with instant hot water, drying racks, etc. And recycling right by. Composting needs to be sought out but not far. Chemical loo emptying point nearby. I couldn't smell anything.
BBQ and table and seating area near shower block plus kids swings far end of camp site, etc. Nothing fancy but keeps them occupied. Wooded walk area with stump seating. Firewood available and campfires may be possible or just for stove/chimenea type thing near BBQ.
Most of all I was struck by the friendliness of the other people staying there who offered me things that were really appreciated, the handyman too.
Dogs allowed but usually on leads, though letting them off for a controlled run around no problem it seems - I certainly didn't mind.
Shops in Bank (towards Southport) or Hesketh Bank (towards Preston). Other locals services too. Southport 10 mins. Some nipped out for a curry locally and picked up a take away for another staying there.
Walks everywhere inc. RSPB in this delightful agricultural area on the Ribble estuary.

Lovely little campsite, clean and tidy.
Showers and toilets are very good and clean.
I loved the fact that you can buy produce from them as well, you can't beat fresh eggs. The chickens were around to say hello to which was lovely.
Many thanks to christine and her team for making our stay welcoming and enjoyable.

Really quaint, lovely old school site, a little bit like Byron Bay but British!
No frills, but well kept, quiet, pleasant and good location for visiting Southport

Lovely site, our son enjoyed the space to play with friends he had made, he was able to play with his football and net we brought. The woodland area is great for children to explore and the little park a nice touch. The chickens were very friendly and walked around the site freely, fresh eggs were available daily and a variety of jams.
Christine was very helpful, the toilets yes only 1 each but kept exceptionally clean throughout the day, showers lovely and hot cannot fault at all.
We enjoyed our stay as it was very quiet, the only negative I can see would be if the site was full the toilets/showers I don't think would be adequate.
Great location, only a short walk to the RSPB nature reserve, 10mins to nearest village (banks) and 18/20 mins to Hesketh Park, botanical Gardens and Southport Pleasureland/beach.

Not a bad campsite the grass is a bit rough, but for £150 a night with electric it's Reasonable,
The toilets and showers are very clean.
Not sure that I would return again though.

Really spacious out in the countryside, only a 10 minute drive to the local village.
Clean showers and toilets, spacious area.
We’ve been here now 3 times and would choose again for our next camping trip.
Christine is really happy to help and very friendly. Would recommend to anyone going camping

We had a great time here. Christine and Mark were very friendly and kind. The woodland area is amazing, beautiful flowers and plants that are not manicured, but natural.
The hens are roaming freely and nature is all around.
We really enjoyed having campfires each night and Mark brought us fire wood each night and freshly laid eggs.
It was also great for our little dog as well
Highly recommended

Spent 2 lovely nights at Old Manor Farm. Pitches are large and spacious. With hook up. The site has a small playarea. And a lovely inclosed wooded area which is great for younger children to explore. And find the chickens.
The site has one toilet/shower room for each. And was perfectly clean at all times of the day!
Staff was delightful. They even but on a small treasure hunt in the wooded area one night for all the kiddos and it was pure joy! Local to Southport. Lovely small walks around the area too.
Would highly recommend this site.

Exactly the kind of Campsite we like no club house, bar.
Site was clean good pitches.
Showers and toilet clean and good hot shower, unfortunately on 1 shower/ toilet for everyone and that was closed on second day due to damage.

Just come back from 3 great nights here. We wanted somewhere close to try out our new caravan and get to grips with what we were doing.
This site was ideal for us and our girls the site was calm and everyone was respectful and friendly to each other kids enjoyed playing around the park and woodland area as well as being around the chickens.
The owners were friendly and easy to go to to ask advice. Yes there is only 1 toilet and shower facility for men and 1 for women but this was ok for us as we were happy to use our vans facilities.
We had a hard standing pitch with ehu and just a short walk to get water and use waste facilities
Would we go back. Yes of course this site is a little gem peaceful and well maintained and there was some lovely people to chat with good price too not expensive Thank you Christine for a lovely first visit look forward to returning again
