Cheap and cheerful, £40 for 2 nights with electric included.
Quiet little site, toilet facilities a little tired.
Lady who who met us was lovely, came with her torch and made sure we were ok before she left as it was pitch black.
Loved the chickens running free.

We decided to treat our 4yr old grandson to weekend away in our motorhome. The site was great and just what we needed. There is a lovely play area for young children and a great little woodland walk area that is well kept for all to enjoy.
The site have chickens that roam around and our grandson named them all and fed them with the seed provided. You are able to purchase more seed if required but plenty in the bag for the weekend.
Toilets, showers and outdoor sink area very clean.
On arrival we were informed if our hose was not long enough to reach the van, they had one connected we could use.
Site manager was fantastic.
Residents who were long term residents were very welcoming and friendly.
The only downside we found was you need either a barrel for your grey water or empty into bucket and dispose of at wash point. We chose to wait till we left and connect our Collapse waste pipe and drain before leaving.
We did not need the local attractions on this occasion as we were there to relax but Southport is only 15 mins away.
Will definitely visit again as very relaxing and peaceful site.

Our first experience as a family camping and we loved every minute of it (despite the rain in the early hours and not much sleep. Our fault due to inexperience).
The site itself was quiet and felt very safe. The facilities were excellent - very clean and tidy. There were separate male and female toilets with a shower in each. These were kept clean throughout our stay.
We did not use the showers as we only stayed overnight (and forgot towels lol) but I thought it was more than a reasonable price of 50p in the honesty box for the use of them.
There is also a washing up area, which again was very clean and tidy and had an honesty box. The bins are clearly labelled for recycling, and were placed neatly and had no issues with being overfilled.
We hired a firepit and bought a bag of firewood whilst on site also, this was cheap enough (£5 for the hire of fire pit and £5 for the bag of wood).
Staff on site were friendly. We had the best time as a family, spent some real quality time together (though we barely saw our daughter as she had made friends and played on the play area for the most part!).
It was very quiet at night - myself and my partner went to bed at 8. 40pm and there was only one other couple still up, so was nice not to have any noise whilst attempting to sleep, people were very respectful of this.
I wish I'd have booked 2 nights and not 1! Thank you so much to the owners for such a positive, first-time experience. We all thoroughly enjoyed it, and we are looking forward to returning.

This is a very small site but nevertheless it has all the necessary facilities to make your stay enjoyable.
I liked the combined shower and toilet facility but possibly not enough if the site becomes very full.
The staff are very friendly and the site is dog friendly.
There is a very pleasant little woodland walk on site.
There are quite a number of good eating places within easy driving distance.

Just came back from a weekend trip, it was lovely.
Really relaxed, the park was ideal to keep the kids happy.
Christine was so helpful and the treasure hunt was a huge hit with the kids and was a lovely gesture!

On arrival the ground was a little wet but didn't put us off, knew the weather wasn't great but they had picked us the driest spot
Got the tent up before the rain hit but the following 2 days were great
Raining taking tent down but hey ho
The site was great
Clean tidy and had everything you need
Shops were only a mile away too,
The staff were brilliant and very helpful
Will definitely go again
Many thanks to all

It was certainly not love at first sight when we arrived at the campsite. The field was really boggy and the only area for us to pitch was quite bad. Not what I had expected considering the field had drainage put in 2 years ago.
As the week passed the site started to grow in appeal. The permanent residents are all really friendly and helpful and any unwelcome noise or disturbance is well managed making it a very peaceful site.
There are only 2 cubicles for toilets/ showers which although kept very clean are old and need upgrading. There are quite a few staff who work and live on site so even when the campsite is quiet there is still a lot of demand for the 2 toilets. This is a real issue when the campsite gets busy
Great location for visiting all local tourist spots and local shops etc are very close by.
In summary big positives are the friendly vibes the location and the superb shelter from strong winds. The downsides have to be the serious lack of enough facilities to cater for the size of campsite and the exceptionally boggy ground. We have always had rain at some point during 10 years of camping but this site does not fare well even during average rainfall.

Really basic, only one toilet which is shared with the shower.
I've stayed in basic campsites before but this is the most basic.

We liked the Old Manor Farm a lot.
It is very cosy and has a lovely woodland walk which my dog loved.
There are only 2 toilets and showers which may be difficult if you only have tent but they were clean.
It was quite a nice location too.
