First time here. Lovely friendly receptionists, directed us to our pitch and met by one of the two great wardens.
Lovely big level flat electric pitch. Lovely clean showers. Great location. Steps down to the beach with stunning views.
Will definitely be going back.

Each year, my wife and I meet up with her sister and husband for a couple of weeks in our tourers. This year we decided to stay at The Hollies, Kessingland. A decent site and will keep it in mind for future sojourns to the area.
The caravan field was quite good, with each pitch well drained and level. The other sections of the site are made up of various types of camping / caravanning and even a field with Yurts, Glamping pods etc.
Toilet blocks are, on the whole, clean and tidy but could get over used even on busy days. Water pressure in the showers left a lot to be desired, but not a major issue.
There is a little cafe near the entrance, but that's it, no shop, no club/bar etc. Not that that is a bad thing. It might be a good iead to have a small accessory shop on site for the essential stuff and maybe a few groceries, but there is a decent sized Morrison's within walking distance. Still a camp shop wouldn't go amiss.
Mark, one of the site wardens is a mine of information, friendly and very approachable. All staff were always very helpful and polite.
Negatives, nothing major but worth a mention: There are two Elsan points, behind each toilet block. Weirdly, there is a small wall surrounding. Not an issue until you have to lift a 40odd Litre wastehog over. Not the easiest to manoeuvre. Maybe another toilet block wouldn't go amiss either?
Overall, this is a nice big site that is located close to all amenities and Beach.

This was my first camping trip with my family and I wasn't disappointed.
A group of us camped here last weekend and had a great time. The camp is split into sections for different types of camping and each area has it's own toilet/shower block which was kept extremely clean. There is a little cafe on site and a takeaway that delivers too.
The site over looks the beach which you can access via fairly steep steps.
All in all a really nice site in a great location.

Friendly well kept site. Great access to the beach. Attended throughout the days we stayed which shows how well maintained the site is. Toilets & showers clean & plenty of hot water and toilet paper.
Stayed during very busy bank holiday weekend and they were still able to give us a choice of pitches away from the designated non EH camping fields, which were packed. Good amount of space for all kinds of campers, EH, non EH and vans.
Real mix of campers, large group of youngsters placed away from the main field which meant they were able to enjoy themselves without disturbing the families or those wanting a bit more peace. Looks like the site is still a work in progress regarding the glamping field as they are kitting out buses for accommodation.
They clearly have room to expand and improve. Can't really comment on child facilities as ours are older but the kids we saw looked like they were having fun. Didn't explore the area as we didn't stay that long but the Africa Alive was a good day out for younger kids during dry weather.
Beach really sandy and huge! No facilities on beach so good climb back up stairs if you need anything. Site itself was a straight forward one, decent facilities, pleasant staff. No dramas!. Just what we like in a site.
Overall a really pleasant stay. Would definitely return.

Friendly warm welcoming site. The beach is fantastic with access directly from the site down steep wooden steps. No shop, cafe or bar but Morrisons is within walking distance.
A nice flat site with a mixture of grass & hardstandings for touring & tenting. Shower & toilet block were nice & clean. Plenty of self catering options including pods, Yurts, Safari tents, glamtainers & converted buses.
We enjoyed our stay at the Hollies & chats to friendly warden Mark.
Thank you

First time camping and had a great time. Camping pitches were very spacious, perfect! as I went with a group of family/friends and my dog Honey (dog friendly).
Toilet and shower facilities were clean and also attended to on daily basis.
The beach was also just a short walk from the campsite via the steps which were built not long ago, well thought out by the Hollies Team as this gives campers not only a beatiful view but a chance to unwind on their Sandy beach.
There was a Morrison's /Coopearive /B&N and MacDonalds a short drive away which was very convenient. I wanted to go Camping to get away from the London rush hour but at the same time I was very apprehensive about staying in a tent and what the people would be like, but I had to eat my words.
The people were lovely and not to mention the wardens, they were constantly doing their rounds and checking whether everything was ok and they really made me and the people I was with fill very welcome. Thank You Team Hollies!
Had a great time and will definitely be seeing you next year!

Little hesitant to write a review as it was such a lovely campsite! A real gem of a find and will definitely be coming back.
We just needed a couple of nights away for us (family of 6) and friends, and it didn't matter about electrical hook up etc. So opted to try here as the site was so close to the beach and near to all the facilities of Lowestoft and local Kessingland. And this was the middle of August.
We were in the field nearest to the sea, and to be honest the best part of the site. I know this site will change as time goes on, but if you're not into entertainment or extra facilities - this was perfect.
Big shower/toilet block in our field (there are is another one in the field prior to this one), with washing up facilities, bins etc. This field had no formal pitches, we could set up where we wanted as long as we were more than 6m away from anyone else. We were probably about 10 (and that was after setting up our 9 berth tent and parked our big car). We could have campfires (if raised off the grass) and other people had windbreaks and all sorts up.
BUT the most amazing part of this was the newly added steps down to the beach. Every day we just couldn't believe that after crawling out the tent, within 2 mins we were down on the beach (golden sand with pebbles) with about 20 other people! We couldn't believe it. As people can't access the beach easily at that part of the coast, it seems to be only people on the campsite that can get down. We even saw a seal swimming there.
The electrical hook-up field and the touring field had designated marked pitches and driving past those it did give the impression of quite crowded and packed, but our field in contrast was vast and very spacious between groups of people. The local pizza place delivers takeaways to the site if needed and Morrisons and the local Co-op/Budgens were only a 2 minute drive.
Fabulous place, fabulous beach. Only downside was it was a bit pricy for one night (£25 for non-electrical) but we only stayed the couple of nights so was fine for us.

Had a 4 night break, a great site that I think will get better, work still on going, but did not in stop us having a good time,
Mark the warden helped us on to our pitch, told us where everything was, and any problems tell him does not matter if it day or night, although he was very busy, he all ways had time to ask us if all was ok, and have a chat,
site facilities are excellent, we did suggest that the toilet doors had a coat hook on them, and the shower could do with shelf to put shampoo and shower gel on, as he said this has been noted and suggested before,
steps down to beach are great they look a little daunting but are really easy, even our old labby made it down and up, very slowly and carefully, he has had hip problems since 14 months old he is now 11 years old, at the bottom a great mostly sandy beach, even leaves a little pool, dogs had a nice paddle, our little JR had a swim, a great site for family's with kids,
I think this site is super and will get better, prices very competitive, shops including take a ways all about a mile away,
we are looking forward to visiting again.

We had a lovely smiley welcome at this easy to find site. Mark guided us to our pitch with a smile and a chat- stopping at the water point in case we needed any and telling us where the necessaries were. It's a big site but at this time of year, was quiet.
There is a picnic area overlooking the sea which must be stunning for a picnic in good weather. Mark also showed us a flock of goldfinches roosting in the same tree each night, next to the first toilet block and told us about the kestrels on site.
The toilets were spotless- till I went in with muddy crocs- I did apologise and asked at reception if they could provide a mat and a mop and bucket as I was embarrassed to have spoilt the pristine showers ( good and hot) We walked along the cliffs towards Lowestoft and along the beautiful beach. We only stayed a night but would have liked to stay longer.
I will mention again the lovely welcome we had which was so nice after visiting another site where the staff struggled to look up from their computers. We paid £10 which was really good value having paid £15 at a motorhome stop with few facilities.
