Just got back from a very quiet 2 night break at this site, this site is going to be a stunning site one day, we were told the site had been open for 2 years and has had teething problems, and in our opinion they are working to get these sorted.
Due to all the wet weather we have had the grass areas are very boggy so looks like drainage is an issue, there is hard standing for some caravans and we stayed on one of these, but to get water from taps you had to go onto the grass which became messy,
Great location for walks and when they get the steps down to the beach in March it will be a fantastic location, as it was a short break and only an hour up the road we didn't travel around area, but we know it anyway and it's not far away from Lowestoft or Yarmouth and has good shopping areas about for food etc
Staff were friendly and helpful if needed, there is a barrier onto the site with a code so felt secure, toilets were spotless but as we were the only ones there that's not a hard thing to keep up, but I must admit both mornings they were still cleaned and floors washed ready for the day, was surprised at this as basically they were not really used so this was good to see,
The site is set out really well and had devided areas to make it more personal,
We paid £10 per night with electric and we thought this was exceptionally good value considering what prices are about this time of year.
We will return again

Stayed tues - frid in Oct half term, £15 with ehu.
Great toilet/shower block with plenty of showers, very new as site only 3 years old. When tent field open there is another toilet/shower block of same size in the field, this is nearer to the sea/cliffs.
This is going to be a very large site in years to come, they are concentrating on erecting/selling lodges to pay for the next stages of the park. At the moment it is mainly just open fields for camping and hard standing for caravans, with a few wood cabins/yurts/safari tents.
There isn't access to the beach unless you walk along the cliff top to Pontins, however they have stairs planned to be put in in February, this will make a big difference to the site.
You need a car to get to the nearest pub, shop etc, there isn't anything in walking distance really.
East to find and very well laid out pitches on gravel.
This site served it's purpose for us as we were visiting our son who lives nearby.
Very helpful staff in the large reception building at entrance of site, barrier to fields accessed with code.
Good price, would use again until it gets too big with club house, swimming pool etc, although this will probably be a few years away.

The Hollies has the makings of a five star camp site but it has a way to go at the moment. On the positive side it is enormous with room for almost 600 units and so it is incredibly spacious. It looks like you have as much room as you wish within limits. We were spoiled for choice. The ladies in Reception are extraordinarily helpful. The location is pretty good with sea views and a Morrison's within four minutes, and a bus stop outside for Southwold. However, to go from three stars today to five stars tomorrow will mean a lot more attention to cleaning the brand new shower and toilet facilities. When they are clean they are spotless but sandy children and drainage design faults mean they are unacceptable in no time at all. Mops and buckets and a large doormat would solve a lot of the problems. Access to fresh water in very limited to one tap per field which spills on to the ground turning the area into mud. Finally, the warden would do well to do a patrol at 11pm to request quietness here and there with the bigger groups. Given attention to minor details, this will be a great site. We would go back again, and it is half the price of the C & CC site along the road, but not as manicured of course.

Spent four nights in the yurt on this site with my wife and two of our grandchildren aged 6 & 7. We had a great time, the kids playing out until dark in safety on the playground equipment and on the mini football pitch. The shower/toilet block was exceptionally clean and well appointed and the yurt itself was as comfortable as could be expected. The only downside was the very low bed, which meant my wife had some trouble getting up! This was more than compensated for by the rest of the week. Staff were all helpful and friendly and I'd recommend the site to anyone.

Stayed at this wonderful campsite last week. Spotless Toilets and showers (hats off to Amanda the cleaner, never seen such clean facilities) Lots of room, unallocated pitches on Seafield site, not that busy.
5 mins drive from a big Morrisons
Fish and chip and pizza places that deliver.
Huge beach is a 15 min cliff walk or a 2 min scramble down the cliffs ( I didn't fancy that)
Quiet, peaceful site.
You can have a fire but take your own pit and wood.
Would go again for sure, .

Stayed here for a weekend at the end of June.
It's a great new site with brand new facilities, we stayed in the Seaside Field just above the beach, it was pretty empty and we could put our four tents wherever we wanted. This was great for five dads and ten kids aged 3-10.
We opted for the seaside field (without hook up) just so we could be near the beach which wasn't a disappointment, we took the path through the fields and down to the beach (behind Pontins) and it took about 10 minutes. Fire pits are available but we didn't opt for them.
The kids enjoyed the playground and football pitch, and the dads enjoyed a 2 hour game of rounders in the field with the kids.
We were greeted by the warden on arrival to the site on Friday evening and I'm sure they would have been ready to help if they were needed all weekend.
We didn't really venture out of the campsite except for stocking up at Morrisons about 5 mins by car.

We have just returned from a 5 night stay at The Hollies. We were very impressed by the site and particularly impressed with the facilities. We were given a warm welcome by Jane when we arrived and then we were visited by the owner the following morning who asked us if everything was ok. The beach is very impressive and we walked our dog for miles each day in both directions. Found plenty of dog friendly places to stop for a drink and some food, particular mention to the Sailors Home pub in Kessingland. We will definitely return in the summer when we re-visit this area.

Clean toilets and shower blocks plenty of toilet paper, apparently a problem with water temp in one block. I had a very large pitch with hook up, the lack of a shop was no problem as there is a large supermarket just up the road. My biggest problem was trying to hold a 40ltr water container four foot in the air to fill it as I forgot the filler pipe. I will be returning

The campsite we know was relatively new with only toilet blocks on site in addition to the reception area. Everything looked brand new which on face value you would think is a good thing but you soon realize that the Funky taps at the washing up sinks would be broken in the near future, the new and gleaming plastic porta cabin type toilet block would be looking past its best in a year or so.
The main issue we had for giving the poor overall mark for the site was the fact that over the bank holiday august weekend the site had an issue with its water supply which was not restored for at least 18 hours. We first realized the issue around 630pm on the Sunday and we informed the warden who took charge of the situation. A note went up pretty quickly which promised the issue had been resolved and was due to a tank needing to be filled however it appears the issue was not resolved. The site had around 200 people (by my estimation)on it so by the following morning you could well imagine what state the facilities were in. We had decided that we would not be staying another night so packed up and left.
I understand that problems sometimes occur but its how the site deals with the problem that should stand out. I wish I could say that porta loos were on site within 2 hours and that drinking water was brought in from the local supermarket or we were kept informed of how things were going or cleaning staff were on site dealing with any issues but I cant.
The site has a lot of potential if it got the basics right but given our experience I doubt we will be going back.
PS please provide more bin capacity they were over flowing quite dramatically by the Monday morning. Again this just shows you of the experience of the campsite staff to run it.

Reception lady very polite. Toilets and showers disgusting. Only saw one cleaner in three days. No toilet rolls. No mops for showers, no toilet brushes. No toilet paper. Rubbish bins overflowing. In general not good for a new site!. Several people complaining about the state of the toilets etc. This needs a cleaner employed and quick if they want people to return. Pitch large no tap on waste on pitch, just electric hook up. Thought they might have added it all when building/designing the fields. Dogs barking at night. Didn't see any security etc, although there was a nice wardens set up!. Will not be returning until they have a good cleaner!. Along with other visitors.
