We stayed here for the first weekend of opening for the touring season in our motorhome, and this is definitely the worst place we have stayed in several years. I had booked 2 nights, Fri and Sat, but we actually left after only one night which is pretty unusual for us as we usually manage to make the best of things.

I read the other reviews before booking the site, and was aware that there would be traffic noise from the A27. A look at an Ordnance Survey map and Google earth shows that the A27 essentially rings the touring area on 2-3 sides, so that came as no surprise - it is noisy, with lorries etc during the night. We are sound sleepers, and are used to stopping over in laybys, for example, so this didn't really phase us.

What we weren't prepared for from the reviews was just how tatty the site is (or at least from recception to the touring area) and that there appeared to be a lot of construction workers essentially living on the site. We arrived at about 8pm on Friday night, and there was a long queue of white vans at reception - about half of these were men in work gear and hi viz queueing to enter through the security barrier; and the other half were pizza delivery vans, waiting for more men in boots and hi viz to come out of their chalets and pitched vans to collect their Friday night dinner. I don't have an issue with men in hi viz - as I said alrady, we regularly use truck stops and laybys as stopovers. But when you've booked (and paid for) what looks to be a pleasant holiday park, you are kind of expecting to meet leisure campers in slightly more attractive surroundings.

Around the touring area, there were several very run down trailers - rusty and mildewed with rubbish and rubble around them and under them. This seemed to be the construction worker area, as there were white vans parked outside them all, with single men (some appeared to be eastern European) coming in and out of them. You had to walk past these to get to the washing block and the shop/bar area and drive past them to get in/out of the touring field. There were also men 'camping' in the back of white vans in the touring area, which is just not what we were expecting from a holiday park.

The other major issue was that most of the pitches were extremely waterlogged, to the extent that the lady at check in said 'not to worry as they could tow us out in the morning is we got stuck'. We ended up joining the few other motorhomes, with their front wheels on the tarmacked road, and back wheels only on the grass pitch. The access road around the pitches was in most places higher than the pitches themselves, so there was quite a steep incline down from/ up to the road.

On the plus side, we did go to the bar in the evening, where we had a few drinks (reasonably priced) and enjoyed the in-house entertainment - karaoke from other visitors, and some songs from the entertainment team who got everyone singing and dancing along. The staff clearly knew some of the other visitors who, presumably were owners, and there was a very sociable, friendly atmosphere. The park up around the bar area is very tidy, neat, with what appears to be a lot of owner/occupiers - a very different proposition from the touring area.

The location is good of course - right on the A27, less than a 10minute drive from Chichester town centre, and with lots of things to do and see in the area. So it was a shame that the park didn't live up to expectations. When we checked out early, explaining the reasons why, the staff were distinctly uninterested - no apology, except for saying it was the first weekend of the season and it was a bit 'disorganised'. If we visit this area again, we'll definitely be going to one of the other sites in the locality.

Just had a brilliant week here, this is a huge huge place with plenty to do. A week is nowhere near enough so will have to make the 5 1/2hr trek again.

Pitches are plenty big enough some are huge ! The staff that show you to your pitch are great often seen as they did with us staying to help you unhitch and move your caravan into position, very polite chaps.

Toilet block you'd think wouldn't be enough for the site but wrong, I never had to wait for a shower once at any time of day and always pretty clean, occasionally a cubicle would be a mess the usual kids thing toilet roll everywhere but was never there on the next visit.

Great park area for the kids although this cant be seen from the touring field but all the kids seem to play well together, adjacent is an enclosed football pitch which is fab and adjacent to that is just a huge field for whatever else, rounders, cricket, kite flying etc

There's so much I can't comment on 'cause there's so much we didn't get around to doing ie visiting the other 3 clubhouses, the other swimming pool, the go-kart track, the fun fair, the football training sessions for kids on another part of the site.

We made some great friends with the adjacent pitch and can't wait to meet up with them again.

Oh nearly forgot the evening entertainment !

One word 'Excellent' ! tops shows every night but the Yorkshire band 'Relentless' are in another league.

We stayed here for a week with our friends and families on the touring park and it wasn't too bad.

The pitches are well marked out, albeit a little on the small side with just enough room for caravan, awning and car all side by side. The toilets and showers were modern and clean and there were ample water and electric hook ups and the electric never once tripped regardless of how much power we drew from it. The down side is that the pitches are all dirty and many of them had large bare patches of mud in the middle of them where the grass had not been rested and had died. They were also covered in litter and fags ends and had clearly not been litter picked all season. We were fortunate enough to be able to park our caravan on the dirty brown scar and pitch the awning on some better grass.

Everything is located across the various different Bunn Leisure sites and a free tram and bus do a regular circuit. The beach is also close by and has picnic benches for use. The main club is big and has a well sized arcade, pool and club. For some reason people queued to go in to the club really early when there were always ample tables and chairs. There are various clubs, pubs and shops on other sites. Outside the complex there is a limited amount of things to do in the area and we found the traffic was always fairly busy due to the winding roads and roundabouts to get to and from the site.

Overall the site wasn't too bad, but given the cost (£280 for 5 nights) we did not feel we had value for money and will not be returning.

We stayed for 2 nights in between xmas and new year in the touring field with our two children (2 and 5).

All of the staff both in the touring park and main park were very friendly and helpful. Facilities were clean and despite it being winter, the toilet block was warm and the showers hot. The people staying next to us were out with their children at 1am and woke us all up (!?!) - but we moved pitches the next day and had some peace.

It is part of a HUGE static caravan park - in peak season I expect it is heaving. On the plus side there are plenty of facilities and choice of entertainment, little funfair, playgrounds, beach, kids club etc. The walk from the touring field to the main complex took us 20 minutes with the children walking at a leisurely pace but older kids / adults would do it quicker. There is a bus which we took a few times.

The pool was fab. Water slides, lazy river and a shallow bit for small ones to play around in. Kids played in the small play frame and got to meet Wallace and Gromit at story time. The children's staff were lovely and made a big effort even with a small group of children.

We ate both evening meals in the restaurant. Service was good but we felt the quality of the food was a bit hit and miss and overpriced.

We usually avoid large holiday parks but for our purposes at this time of year it was perfect. We had dry, indoor facilities with the pool. The kids were well catered for and enjoyed themselves and we all had a nice little winter break.

Well after reading the reviews on here I had my doubts but there was no need as the whole site is very clean and tidy. The pitches are ample and marked out.

Our daughter soon made friends and that was the last we saw her for a few hours each day.

We had no problem with noise at night which put me off at first having read on this forum about rowdy groups.

The only thing that did put me off was the entertainment complex as in the main room it seemed too cramped for me and the price of the beer was far to high for my liking.

All in all it is a well kept site and we shall definitely be back

At a cost of £74 for a 2 night stay without electricity I was expecting fantastic service.

Upon arrival we discovered that this was not the case, we checked in and was told to follow the warden in his card, he lead us to a field and went here you go, go wherever you want. We was expecting at least laid out pitches for the cost.

We then eventually managed to sort out a pitch that didn't appear to be in the way of where cars would drive or where kids were playing, as parents didn't make them go to the park next door.

We attempted to put our pegs in and discovered that the ground was rock solid, was glad I had some hard ground pegs with me, as we bent a few standard pegs.

Once pitched, we though we would check out the club houses, we were about a 20 minute walk from them, which with a 9 month old and 4 year old wasn't very helpful.

The club houses were old but clean, drinks and food were heavily over-priced!

Past 19:00 we struggled to find any staff walking about to ask questions, luckily the night warden does answer the mobile.

The toilets the same as the club houses were old but were kept very clean.

The noise was quiet at night, which we was very shocked at given the noise during the day.

All in all, we will not be staying here again, especially when we could have gone to Haven or Park for half the price. The surrounding area was lovely, so we will be finding another site to visit next time as some of our family have a static at this place.

Been coming to bunn for about ten years now and can safely say we have never had an issue, the staff are so helpful and friendly explaining everything and showing you to your pitch.

As for the toilets/shower blocks they are very modern and clean, the good thing is when they are being cleaned you still have the use of the other shower block on the opposite side.

The park is great for kids and right next door to the touring park. The pitches are very big and well maintained alright they may get boggy but come on how much rain have we had lately?

The buses are great and run every 30mins and are also free.

The entertainment is amazing and I personally don't think the drinks are that expensive especially when you compare them with other holiday parks.

I can not fault this park and would highly recommend it to anyone.

First time I had decided to take the kids and dogs away on my own as hubby was away with work. I chose Bunn as I feel it is a safe and secure site, Check in and booking was nice and easy.

Despite what people have said below I had no problems with the field being flooded, it was madly bone dry so maybe I just chose a good weekend. (i did book in for may half term but did get a call to inform me it was water logged and road closed on sea view).

I was pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness of the toilets and showers, Although I did get the key for the family room well worth the small deposit they asked for, and great with the fact I have 3 under 5.

I had a lovely morning walk with the kids and dogs hoping to get some bacon for breakfast however found the shop didn't open till 8am so it was a good hour and half round trip to find this out oops it is in the info mag however I do think it is a bit late, but none the less all staff and security I met whilst on our walk were lovely.

But a very quick drive into Selsey and I found a cafe, that also allows dogs so perfect.

The evening entertainment was fantastic even the kids club which we had also used throughout the day.

As I have said before I felt very safe and when my car alarm went off I was alerted and security came with me to check all was ok.

All in all I found it a nice family camp site with great entertainment, I was however unable to drink but with 3 kids I wouldn't have liked to, and it was not needed to enjoy myself.

Also great value for money yes it costs if you will not be using the entertainment passes but when you break down the cost mine being 1 adult £10 pd, 3 kids at £5 pd that £25 so really only paying £10 per day to camp it would have been cheaper if I didn't have the dogs as they are charged at £3 each per day.

The only thing that would be nice on site would be some kennels for when we attend the entertainment, as I had to leave them in the car so we were close enough to attend to all there needs.

We camped here over half term from the monday to thursday. It rained really heavy on tuesday but we had no problems with flooding pitch like other reviews on here- we had electric hook up think pitch 90.

I felt as though my children (age 3 and 5)couldn't be left to wonder and explore here as was too dangerous with roads and you cant see further than your pitch as they were close together. Although I must say the tent pitches I feel were not too bad we easily fitted our tent (6m by 3m) and car on it

The noise was awful at night even pass midnight- people playing tvs and music really load and lots of people laughing really loud too and then at 4. 30 in the morning we heard diggers at work! I'm not a moaning person but it was quite awful!

I felt the toilets were always dirty. Cant believe the mess women leave! toilet roll everywhere, rubbish and wrappers etc wee on toilets- its disgusting- I wonder if they do this at home. Gross!

Entertainment was very good. Drinks were expensive though. Bus service was very good and reliable and if you know the times they leave then you don't need to hang around as they are always on time

Shop was good also. Children loved the park and we had no problems with teens. We went to the riviera in selsey not far from site- massive portions although id say a little expensive. Had a good cheap full english breakfast at the waterfront restaurant for just £2. 99 on our last day. Chip shop near windmill was very good and not bad price. Most shops on site are very expensive too.

All in all it was an ok 1st ever camping trip with my family- I wouldn't go back there anytime soon as feel my kids are too young for the freedom and the entertainment starts quite late for them so its not worth the £39 per night.

This is the fourth time we have been to this site, and this time it will be the last.

For us, it is only an hour away, and a large group of us go so we have persevered, however, too many things remain unsatisfactory for us to return, especially at £39 a night.

On arrival we were greeted and shown to our pitch. Every single member of staff on the touring site that I dealt with was exemplary. I cannot remember the last time I was so impressed with staff/wardens so a massive well done for that.

The pitch sizes are not great, and are only marked out by a line in the grass. Not the end of the world, but concerning when you get some people who 'mark their territory' with windbreaks, then promptly use your pitch as a shortcut to the loos, as do their kids, on foot and on their bikes.

The toilet block is only cleaned once a day, and this is simply not enough. Every day the ladies had at least one blocked toilet, toilet roll etc scattered all over the floor, dirt and grass in the showers. There were only 10 showers (possibly 12) for the entire touring site which meant there were queues and explained the lack of cleanliness.

Also, there are no privacy cubicles, so naturally people stay in the shower longer to get dressed etc, then clean their teeth at the sinks (or at the water taps in the camping field). This led to the few showers there were being occupied for longer than was ideal. The showers are operated via a sensor, and the water was hot and plentiful this trip.

The play park is of a good size and separate to the touring and residential areas, which keeps the noise down, but also allows it to be overrun with teenagers, making it less inviting for the 5-12 year olds it is supposed to be for.

The dog walk is well kept and separate to the touring fields, but is adjacent to the park and play areas, and although there are plentiful dog waste bins, there is also plentiful dog waste around the entire area.

The swimming pools are fantastic. Prone to be very busy in bad weather, leading to a hefty wait to swim, and I felt the pools were allowed to be overcrowded, which could potentially be dangerous. On a day of heavy rain I swam with my 6 year old but had to leave when it got to the point where you could not go 3' without getting kicked by a swimmer/child who was doing nothing wrong. There was simply no space.

The unisex changing rooms were rather chilly, and the showers are communal with just a handful of cubicles with curtains. Lockers operate on a 20p token basis, which you don't get back, and a single visit requires 40p if you want to shower and keep your things locked up.

The amusement arcade is large, and has a good variety of machines, but it is what it is!

The clubs and various entertainments are very good, but as has already been said, they are a 15 to 20 minute walk away (as are the pool and amusements etc) which is not very convenient, particularly in the fine British weather we have had this year. Driving becomes necessary, parking is limited, and a night out on soft drinks is not an ideal holiday night out. Hence only one visit to the club this year.

The on site shop is small and basic, but there are others close by. There are some nice pubs and eateries within a 10 minute drive, The Riviera is particularly good. We don't venture far though, the idea is for the kids to have a good time enjoying some freedom.

As mentioned previously, we suffered heavy rainfall on the Tuesday of our stay. This resulted in our pitch having around 2' of standing water on it, and obviously very muddy, waterlogged ground beneath it. It was necessary for us to pack up the contents of the awning and lift the groundsheet, and the tents around us suffered considerably. This has been a problem for some years at this site, and I am disappointed nothing has been done to rectify the known problems.

It is not a cheap site, but it does feel like one. The only saving grace for our break was the company, but even that will not be enough to get us back here again.
