Just returned today after spending the bank holiday weekend at Bunn Leisure.

What can I say, the site is huge, but almost felt like a second class citizen for camping as the touring site is miles away from any of the entertainment / swimming pool etc.

The site itself was clean and tidy upon arrival and there are guys who pick up litter etc during the day, however, sadly the same could not be said for the toilets or the washing up areas!

The toilets were constantly littered with toilet paper and the showers were more than useless and on one occasion they gave up working whilst people were still in them showering, these poor ladies were then asked to go around to the other side of the toilet block into those showers which then also failed to work!

Ladies be prepared to take a jug to wash your hair unless you plan to spend most of the day in the shower trying to rinse out your shampoo!

There also appears to be a distinct lack of rules on the site, people could make as much noise as they liked and got away with it much to our annoyance. This is not helped by the fact that reception shuts at 5.30pm so no body is about should you have a problem with rowdy campers in the small hours.

The pitches themselves are of a good size but be prepared to batten down the hatches as it is incredibly windy, pegging out all guy ropes is a must and don't be surprised if you get some damage to your tent / porch etc. The ground is also incredibly uneven and bumpy.

Having said all of this though the children had a great time but will we go back?, most probably not, although it pains me to say it we do prefer a quieter more family friendly site, guess it must be a sign of getting old.

We visited this site early October & my first thoughts was it’s a big place .

We was welcomed by friendly staff & then showed to our pitch.

The toilets were clean & was like that for the whole weekend we was there, but found they would lock one lot of each of the ladies & gents toilets/shower block & I thought they could of put a sign on the door saying so, so we wouldn’t have to try the door to find this out.

But as I'm disabled I used the disabled shower & I was very surprised when I found there wasn’t only one shower hose but two so was able to take one down to wash your feet & lower part of your body J one down side to the disabled wet room, there wasn’t a mirror so wasn’t able to see what I was doing when doing my hair.

The pitches are of good size with water tap & electric hook up at each pitch.

The restaurant was good & also other food outlets too, for take aways etc.

The entertainment was good but also very loud so we didn’t stay long when the singers come on.

Apart from that everything was all good about the camp site.

We have had a brilliant time here, it was off peak season so not busy but pitch was large and level. Facilities all over the site appear fairly new. There is a lovely playpark and ball sports area next to the touring site and also a large playing field which doubles as a dog walk area.

The showers were warm but not overly powerful and probably could do with an evening clean due to all the campers getting ready for the evening.

The entertainment on site is excellent for children and adults, there is a lovely restaurant with beautiful views of the Solent but also other food outlets to cater for any taste, burger bar, indian take away, chip shop.

My boys loved the quad bikes which we thought were fairly priced (£4/6mins). The swimming pool also appears new with a 25m pool for serious swimmers and a warm fun pool with slide and lazy river.

There are on site shops which appeared reasonably priced but there is also a Budgens and local shops, chippy, take aways just 5 mins drive away in Selsey town centre. The camp site is huge mainly catering for statics but there is a bus and fun train that circulates the site so you don't have to worry about driving. We found all the wardens and touring staff efficient and helpful.

We will definitely be going back to Bunn Leisure. Coming from just down the road we are well aware of the vast number of attractions in the surrounding area, Portsmouth - historic dock yard, Gun Warf, Paultons Park, Arundel Castle.

We live within an hour of this site and use it regularly for long weekends. What can you say? Well its huge if you include all the statics and other parts of the park, but it is really friendly and we always have a great time here. The Embassy club and complex really makes you feel you are on holiday - there are also great views to the Isle of Wight on a good day. There is a huge amusement arcarde and a short walk along the front takes you to the Windmill which is only used for storage, but over here you will find the fair and go carts.

The toilet blocks are ok, but on a huge sight in August they are always going to be busy - we always use our own facilities here as we have a caravan and leave the on site showers for tent campers.

Prices for such a huge site are reasonable on the whole - the pitches are of a good size and caravan awning and car fit on well with room left for sitting. The swimming complex is great, pleanty of open space for games and a free bus service is available which is really necessary to use all aspects of the parks. The park is clean with no rubbish left lying around.

Although we prefer small quite sites we still enjoy our time here as you really don't need to leave the site. For visitors from further away, the beaches at the Witterings are great, Chichester is lovely and Portsmouth is very interesting. Arundel is a gem and the beach towns of Littlehampton and Bognor are well worth a visit.

This site is always windy - storm straps are always put up here - but that is the climate of Selsey. They also have a great deal of sunshine here, one of the best on the south coast.

This is definitely worth a visit - yes it is busy and sometimes noisy but it is really good fun.

We will be back soon!

Large site with lots to do. Windy as close to the coast, although we enjoyed our stay we were woken up by children at 6.45am nearly every morning, people complain about noise late at night but being on holiday it would be nice to have a lie in and parents should take this into consideration. The smugglers restaurant served good food and decent size portions, although the drinks were overpriced. Budgeons supermarket was very expensive, a trip to Tesco is about 8 miles away.

We were in Selsey for 5 nights in the third week of July 2010. We will not be back.

There is loads for people with young kids to do, and the sprawling sites that have all been rolled into one make it way too big and impersonal. We prefer the smaller sites with fewer pitches and less rowdy campers.

There were plenty of facilities, but half of them were closed. Young kids seemed to enjoy the joke of stuffing Loo rolls down the loo, causing blockages!

We queued a couple of times to use the washing up areas, but that has to be expected with the size of site!

We got hammered by force nine Gales, and although the tent held out, our awning got ripped. There isn't much shelter from the wind, consequently there were about half a dozen caravan awnings that were flattened by it. (wardens were round the morning after the storm checking on caravans that were there for the season where the owners were away!)

This is a very good site, the staff are pleasant and its in a great location. The entertainment facilities on this site are also very good. We used the oasis complex for swimming which has a lazy river, slides, full size pool and kids pool as well as sauna and jacuzzi(kids were in heaven).

The kids used the entertainment mostly at night and again only a few times but really enjoyed it. They also spent a few nights at what we term the puggies and would have quite happily spent EVERY night there.

However as we're from Scotland and were visiting this area for 2 weeks we tended to use it more as a base which it is very good for. As we managed to visit Chichester, Bognor Regis, Littlehampton, Hayling Island(great train ride), Tangmere (excellent aviation museum and staff really made my kids welcome), Gosport(submarine museum), Portsmouth which was one of our favourite places as you have the Gunwharf quays which we visited a couple of times and did the Harbour Tour, shops, cinema, walk on water (for kids) play area with sand (again for kids), but whilst here we also went to Southsea Castle, Model Village and the Blue Reef Aquarium (which although expensive is fantastic as it has a sand and splash area which the kids loved tremendously just remember spare clothes etc), Southampton (did the museum here which had a Titanic exhibition and although not expensive £9 for family of four we were all a bit disappointed with it especially our son).

Also had a day at the Flying Fortress which is an indoor play area which the kids really enjoyed. Also took the car over to the IOW which is really cheap and we loved it there (especially the Seaview Animal Park which having visited lots in our time this is the best ever and clean wow!).

Like most parks this has a couple of negatives, but doesn't detract from this place which really is great (but I like people to be aware of what they face). The toilet / shower blocks although modern the water from the showers are boiling and slow, and the condition some people leave them in is disgraceful but again Bunn Leisure should have someone dealing with this problem.

Again the changing rooms at the swimming really could do with being cleaned better as I hated having to change in them. We visited this site when the English schoolchildren were still at school so cant comment on when its really busy.

Please also take care as it can get quite windy so really ensure your tent/awning is well guyed down. Really I would give this site 10 out of 10 if only they would do a Morrisons / Asda thing and check the toilets hourly.

I think this park will polarise opinions - you'll either love it or hate it! Facilities = 10/10, Communing with nature - forget it!

We were given a comprehensive welcome pack and talk on arrival and shown to our pitch, which was helpful. Pitches are a decent size and those with electric hook-up also have a tap. There are no boundary hedges and although it was suggested that we retain a space of 10 ft between us and the next unit this is in no way enforced. There were a lot of groups with complex gazebo, windbreak and bbq arrangements about!

Shower, toilet and washing-up facilities were clean and plentiful. There is an excellent children's' play area and multi-sport pitch. The beach is very steep and pebbly, not really suitable for little ones at all. Warners Farm is essentially an extension of the enormous West Sands static caravan park. This means you can benefit from the varied facilities and entertainment on offer there, including the wonderful Oasis pool complex. It is big, brash and.Has a kebab shop.Moving on then.

Chichester is great for shopping and eating out. Best beach for miles has to be West Wittering. Go when the tide's out for top notch beach combing, miles and miles of sand bars and little lagoons. Breath taking!

We have been using Warner Farm for a number of years, as it is close to home and the kids love it! Having just bought a new caravan, we wanted to go away again for the weekend to test the new van and booked in to Selsey, along with the in-laws who were staying in our old ‘van.

The weather was fantastic, and the kids loved the extensive play area and the beach, both of which are in walking distance. We also took them on a ride on the Bunni Express, a train type affair that does free trips around all the sites at Bunn Leisure, which was a huge hit!

Good points: Large flat pitches, well laid out and well marked. Huge play area with bits for kids of all ages. Excellent complex with restaurant, kids clubs etc. The refurbished toilet blocks in the touring park are by far the best we have ever seen, and are always spotlessly clean. Small shop at reception is well stocked and not overly expensive. Swimming pool is a huge hit and the slides are open to younger children unlike some other parks we have been to. You can arrive any time after 10am, which is earlier than we have found at most parks.

Bad points: Latest you can arrive is 7pm, which can be tricky if you get stuck in traffic. We were lucky that nobody had booked on to our pitch the day we were leaving, so we were able to stay until midday, but normally you are asked to leave by 10am, which we feel is a little early. Only option is to park in the overnight area, but this has no electric which can be difficult if you have a ‘van full of young children. Also, the touring park is quite a way from the main entertainment.

Generally, a very good site. The facilities are excellent, and the staff are friendly and helpful. We will definitely be visiting again as it is no more expensive than Scotts Farm down the road, but with so much more to do.

This was our first visit to this site. With all the bad weather over the holiday season, we were pleasantly surprised when we were actually shown to our pitch, rather than given a map and left to get on with it!

The shower blocks were a good size & clean first thing, although it did seem they were only cleaned once a day. The showers were poor, although nicely decorated, the water power was not much more than a dribble. Although they offer a bus service that circuits the sites, when we phoned the shop on the touring site for the times of the buses, they didn't know. You had to go down to the bus stop and check the times, before using them! In the evening, the drivers stopped for an hour break, without letting you know, and a replacement bus service was not supplied, not ideal if your waiting for a bus in the pouring rain or with children. The other parks are a little walk away, so you do really need to use the bus service.

We used the restaurant in the embassy and the viking, which were both really good. The entertainment was good. The shop on the touring site was really over priced, & only stocked very basic things, but a budgen store in the town.

Overall a good site, ideal for a long weekend or a week, but not 2 weeks, as not a great deal to do locally either.
