This site is an ideal location to visit York and being close to a cycle path was ideal for us.
The toilets and showers were clean and sufficient for our needs.
Facilities for grey waste would have been useful.
Otherwise Lisa was very helpful and we would use the site again.

Just returned from a two night stay what a great little site.
Lisa and husband very friendly, from contacting by email to enquire Lisa was quick to reply and gave full instructions of the pitch number we had before arriving which I found very helpful arriving on a Friday evening.
This site is about an hours walk into York or a 20 min bus ride ( £4. 80) for two adults. We got a taxi on return for £11.
The unisex toilets/showers are spotless and kept to high standard it felt a little strange as not experienced this before.
We will definitely return in the summer months to do the walk by the river into York and the near by pubs for a nice meal.
Cracking little site just tucked away ! ☺️

Lovely site, very well maintained. Extremely helpful and friendly owner.
Shower didn't heat up so couldn't shower, maybe I didn't wait long enough for it to heat up as husband used it previously and it was warm for him.
Very close to York centre.
Walking distance to pubs. Very relaxing, chilled out site.
Definitely be back.

Grantchester is ideally located for York. Minutes away from the most lovely bike ride directly to York.
There’s also a bus route right outside. Within walking distance is a lovely pub, which allows dogs and serves great food.
The campsite is small, but perfectly formed!
Clean, with everything you need. Especially a very welcoming owner, Lisa, is friendly and helpful.
We will definitely be back! Thank you!

I made a mistake when arriving at the site - I had been looking for a road side sign pointing the way ; there was none so I ended up taking a wrong turn.
We were met by a very charming lady - the owner Lisa. Welcome over we were left to hook up and check out the site.
All pitches ; 22 in total I think, were on level ground and the toilet/ shower block was spotless.
Bus stop just across the road was very handy indeed and we used bus regularly - £8 return for two into york. We got off, by chance, just below the tourist info site - useful indeed.
At the bus stop the fixed timetable is on the wrong side of the road and refers to buses going in the opposite direction ! Also it’s 4 Mile to York and not one and a half as the sign beside the bus stop states !
Spoke to Lisa several times on site : she really seems to run this herself ; a big hearty “Well done you and thank you for your smiles and chat “ we used the convenience store nearby to get the Sunday papers - handy indeed.
No grey water disposal for motorhomes - you can of course fill some buckets - we didn’t bother - done that at the next site we went to. Defo place to come back to.

Lovely quiet site just on the outskirts of york.
Easy access to York by car, or a lovely walk into the centre of York from the site following the River Ouse, about 4 miles of flat easy going walking, riverbank or cycle track.

A little gem of a site. Spotless toilet/shower block. Site itself is very well kept and lovely size pitches.
Owner Lisa is a lovely lady and very helpful.
Bus stop on A19 directly opposite site and was only £2. 40 each way to York Centre or park and ride close by.
Will definitely visit again.

Superb site, well maintained by the owner Lisa.
Very helpful and all facilities very clean especially the showers and toilet block. We will definitely be returning.
The bus into York very close to the site and there is a post office/shop in the village.
Thanks to Lisa for making our stay very comfortable.
