Have just returned from here after a spur of the moment decision to go camping. We rang the same morning and there was plenty of space. I cannot fault this park. Pitches are amble with plenty of electric hook up, the toilets are kept clean and the staff very friendly.
We didn't use the shop this time but have done previously. It's well stocked and prices are as expected on a campsite. The bar sells a good variety and again is priced as expected (£2. 80 a pint of lager).
It is reasonably priced at £17 per night plus £4 electricity. (though they forgot to charge us!)
My children love the play area which is enclosed with plenty of seating.
Will definitely be returning!

Just got back from a wet but enjoyable weekend at this site. We arrived on the Wednesday afternoon, around 5:30. Where we were eventually greeted by a chirpy guy who showed us to our pitch. In a wide open field with no cover for the wind etc! We seem to think were were shoved back here away from the seasonal tourers and statics. We didn't mind because we had our own toilet and shower block.
We were told by the chap that took us to our pitch to pay tomorrow (Thursday). On Thursday after a walk around skegness we arrived back at the site around 3pm and went straight to pay. No one was around! So we carried on with our holiday.
The next day the males of the group went fishing for the day, witch was very enjoyable by the way. After this we walked over to reception to try and pay again. Stood at the reception desk was a short, bold headed man with glasses on. He was the most rude and abrupt site worker I have met in years. He started to have a go at us because we didn't pay on the day of arrival, Had no costumer service skills and couldn't add up basic numbers. He really ruined our day!
The site itself is very large and in parts is very open to the wind. Dosnt make taking the tent down very easy at all. There is only one park for the children situated in the grounds of the pub witch was a good 5-10 mins walk from where we were.
Over all the site is ok for a day or two. Its very over priced at £23 a night for this time of year. It needs more parks for the kids maybe near to the shower and toilet blocks.

Just got back from a bank holiday weekend at this site, after ringing around everywhere this was the only site with spaces. Upon arrival went to reception and booked in we were then taken to our field and first impressions were good, nice flat field trees around for shelter. Pitched up and had a look around there was a water sports wake board lake, a fishing lake and plenty of open space for our lad to ride his bike and play ball.
The beach was 10 mins away and a group of pubs near the beach
Ingoldmels was a 20 min walk to the left of the site and a great day out with plenty to do
If you went to the right out of the site about 3 miles you were in the centre of skegness which was clean but very busy.
Back on the site we found the club a little small for the amount of holiday makers, but staff were friendly, beer was cheap and if you went to pubs nearby it was about £2. 20 average for a pint of bitter which I consider cheap.
The shop had all you needed and also cheap, also there were a few stalls outside selling camping equipment very cheap
My only moan was the toilets not the cleanest you had to go early morn to get a clean cubicle I suppose there were a lot of campers for the toilet blocks also showers very hot, made my lad yelp a bit
I would use this site again as the space they allow around the tent was massive and it is in a central location also cheap compared to other campsites I have been on

Got back last week from a 7 night stay, and loved it. The site itself is massive, there are more than enough room between the pitches, which are kept brilliantly, mowed all the time and are nice and flat.
We were situated right behind the air field and my little one who is 18 months loved watching the little planes take off and land. There was plenty of space for the kids to run around and play football and my 3 year old made lots of new friends.
The toilet blocks were close, and clean. They are a bit basic, and there is no where really to hang your clothes, bag etc, so I would advise a waterproof bag for your toiletries.
The water refil is hard work as like the showers and washing up sinks are run by a button which you have to constantly re press.
The washing up area is basic, and although sheltered is outside. Remember to bring or buy a plg for the sink. They are not provided.
The facilities are good, there is a little camp shop, with the basics, lollies, sweets, mags, milk etc. And a coffee shop and bar and restaurants. The food is brill and reasonably prices. Adjacent to this is a kids playground, which was always in use and was well maintained and in lovely condition.
Overall, out stay there was great. I would happily go back. The kids loved it as did we and there is plenty to do for everyone!
Ohhh, and if you have small kids, there is a bathroom on site with a bath, you need to ask at reception for a key.

Spent four nights here last week. On arrival we were escorted to our pitch which was near the airfield. We pitched the tent on the nice large EHU pitch and went for a look round. The site is massive but with plenty going on, kite flying is a must.
The toilets and showers are basic but adequate, although the showers could do with a shelf or extra hooks to keep your clothes dry, take minimum stuff with you as there is nowhere to put it.
The only thing that spoilt our stay were a lot of thoughtless campers who think its acceptable to swear every other word whilst walking past the tent. We have an eight year old and he learnt some new words that weekend. People should realise that their conversations are not private on a tent field.
The pot washing area was always left in an appalling state, bacon rind etc just left in the sink.
However none of the above is the fault of the site. We had a great time in Ingoldmells and Skegness, even saw the lifeboat launch (very impressive). At night we walked to the lookout pub on the beach, very reasonable priced food.
We would go back again to this site, but take some earplugs for the little one.

Me and my partner wanted a last minute get away to Skegness. I found this campsite and rang for details. I was told they had plenty of space and we didn't need to book so we just turned up.
When we got there we were checked in very quickly and shown to our plot. It was near the toilet blocks which is the perfect location for me. We pitched up and decided to chill out for a bit and went on the little train on the site (being the big kids we are).
It is well worth the money for a get away for a few minutes for the kids at only £1 per person. We then went over to Ingoldmells beach and had fun pushing each other in the sea. On return to the campsite we wanted a BBQ but didn't have a stand for our disposal BBQ so my other half went to ask security for bricks. They said they didn't have any but we could just have the BBQ on the grass.
The next day we spent the day in Skegness then went back to the site where it started thundering and raining. We made a quick break for the pub on site where the staff were really friendly and for a campsite it was very reasonably priced. We then had another BBQ and another storm hit so we went for a drive. When we returned to site we went to the lake and fed the ducks which was good fun.
We went to the coffee shop for breakfast both mornings we were there but did find this was over priced. The site shop was a great price. We got a jar of coffee, sweeteners, bottle of wine and some other essentials for £12.
On our last day we wanted to take a look at a mobile home on the site so we asked at reception and they took us down and showed us around it.
The staff were extremely friendly even charging our phones for us for a small donation to the life boats. Even the toilet blocks on site were really clean which surprised me for such a big site. It was a fantastic stay and we are looking forward to going back very soon

We wanted to stay somewhere fairly close to Skegness & spent a long time trying to find a good site when we came across this one. We booked at online, very easy to do & arrived hoping we had made the right choice. We have two children aged 5 & 7, we were a bit wary about the amount of water.
Found the site easily, its about half between Skegness & Ingoldmells and about 10 mins walk to the nearest beach.
Check in was quick & efficent, we were then told to wait to be shown to our pitch. The followed the guy & he showed us 2 or 3 areas where we could pitch. We opted for a pitch near the airfield (don't worry, there's only 3 or 4 light aircraft comings & going's each day).
The site is massive & even though it was the start of the kids summer holidays & the weather forecast was brilliant, we didn't feel crowded as there is just so much room. Toilets were clean & showers good (abit too hot & the kids couldn't reach the button!). Plenty of space for the kids to kick the ball around. We went to the on site pub, the food was good & reasonably priced. On site shop was small but had what you needed. Childrens play park was well enclosed.
In short if you want a good base to explore Skegness & the surrounding area but don't want a in your face park with loads of entertainment - this is ideal.
The cons:-
1) showers slightly too hot for kids
2) The site can get very windy, not much shelter
3) Smokers using the children's playground as a smoking area
4) Fishing lake & water ski lake - you need to be aware with your children.
5) Inconsiderate behaviour of other campers (not the sites fault) - see comment at the end of this review
The pro's
1) Lots of space
2) Good if you are going with other families as there is so much space to pitch together
3) All pitches on the level
4) Good security - nightly rounds
5) Good pub & play park.

Our first camping trip ever (Family of 4) and I have to say it was brilliant. We are looking forward to returning this year
Toilet and shower area were clean and tidy, as was the washing area.
Small children's play park near the Public House. Well stocked shop.
Few minutes car journey from fantasy island and skegness is not too far
Tried to chip shop down the road for food - wouldn't recommend!

Stayed here during half term in June.
Originally enquired about a EHU pitch a few weeks before but was told they were all taken. Fair enough, I'll go with a non hook up. On arrival I was told I could have a EHU as there had been quite a few cancellations due to the weather.
Was shown to the pitch and we got set up. Wasn't shown where the water, elsan point, toilets etc were which would have been nice.
Site is great. I went for the cable ski as I wakeboard. Fishing lake looked good, play area for the kids was good. The bar and restaurant have good food and reasonable prices.
The site is really big with separate areas for statics, tourers and tents.
We went to butlins across the road one day. This is £30 for a family pass to use the pool, funfair, entertainment etc and was good value.
Got the caravan stuck on departure day as it was very wet. Asked for a tow in reception and a couple of mins later the site landrover pulled the van to the road for me.
Will be visiting again.

We returned today from a 2 night stay in our tent.
The site was very well suited to our needs - with 3 children aged 4, 6, 6, there was plenty of space and room for them to play.
On arrival, in torrential rain, the reception staff were very friendly and helpful. We were shown personally to our pitch, which was thoughtfully near to the toilet and shower block, on account of the children always needing the loo at the most inopportune moment!
The facilities were very clean and tidy at all times of the day and night and there was plenty of hot water.
We made good use of the laundry - well the tumble driers anyway - as a result of the weather and they were very reasonable - £1 for about 20 minutes.
The location was fab and we enjoyed a family day at Butlins - which was within walking distance of the site.
All in all a Fab weekend away - we are planning our next visit already!
