Just back from a 16 night stint at this camp site. Having used it before two years previous we thought we knew what to expect. The first thing that came to us was that last time (and other reviewers pointed this out)the staff were not that pleasant so we were encouraged by remarkably helpful and polite staff at the reception and subsequently other parts of the park also, but then came the downside. This is not a site where you can book for standard pitches, you just turn up and hope that there is space (there usually is due to size of site), but unfortunately that means that almost any group can get on. The staff say 'same sex' group's are not allowed but this was not the case while we were there. The office staff can not be there all the time especially at 5 in the morning when the clubbers are getting back much the worse for drink and language. The park security do go around regularly but when a group of young teens were playing very loud music and using abusive language they just drove past, something we complained about to the staff to which security denied had happened. Unfortunately popular seaside resorts do attract this type of guest so if you are after a site where rules are adhered to this may not be for you.
On other parts to the site, the toilets were ok two years ago but are now a little dated though still usable with free showers and very low shaving mirrors, the only disadvantage with these facilities is that it was busy when we were there so found ourselves waiting most days to shower. The on-site shop is good for essentials and there is a grocery store up the road, combined you can get pretty much what you need, the chippy is good to! The on site pub is welcoming and again staff were very good, entertainment not up to much but it is free so beggars can't be choosers, pub menu is limited and not brilliant value though the food is nice. The children's play area is attached to the pub and is well kept but for the size of the site the play facilities are totally inadequate. Nearby is the main bus route which is quite regular though not as cheap as most buses and the ticket 'offers' are not so clear so check what ticket you require before boarding. Overall we will not be going back to this site as it is 'not for us' anymore, understandably what is good for one is not good for all.

We stayed for a week, just BEFORE, the school holidays, so this enormous site was about 20% occupied.
We came for the on site coarse fishing, and it was absolutely fantastic for that.
The well stocked water has about 100 pegs and for pleasure anglers like us was a dream, with plenty of action ( take plenty of worms).
We paid £18. 50 per night for a non electric hook up, which is just about fair.
Toilets are clean and very functional, and the site is so big, there are 4 blocks dotted around.
Showers are fine (too hot if anything).
The site is virtually litter free, and the grass is well cared for.
The on site pub/cafe complex is very good, and serves basic pub grub at reasonable prices.
The on site shop is average and limited in what it sells. Kids toys are well catered for though.
Staff in this shop were a little unfriendly, and seemed to view customers as an irritant.
Staff in the pub though were brill.
No excessive nightly noise whilst we were there, and there are plenty of security staff on call.
The biggest problem with this site, and it is a problem that the sites owners have no control over, is the abnormally WINDY conditions that seem to be the norm.
We spoke to people on site about this, and they all agreed that this area is blighted by well above average wind speeds. (go into Skegness, and look out to sea, you will see massive wind farms).
The constant winds make it impossible to sit out at night, without shelter, and a BBQ is nigh on impossible, unless you construct a serious wind breaker.
Our wind breaker was blown down 4 times !
We would return here though for the great fishing, but will stick to times when its quiet, we would not return during school or bank holidays, as we reckon it would be too noisy/busy and cramped.
Just watch out for that never ending wind !
PS. Very close to this site is Butlins. We paid £10 per person to go into the site for a full day.
It was well worth the money as the swimming/funfair and entertainment were included in the price. Best day of our trip. Highly recommended. Just follow the signs for 'day guests'.

On arrival at the park you have to find a place to park and report to reception. After booking in you are then made to follow a landrover to an area of empty grass to pitch, depending on electric or not, there are no pitch markings or boundaries.
The site itself was quite clean and tidy as were the toilets and showers although they were small, only 4 toilet cubicles and 4 shower cubicles so queueing was inevitable.
We had to leave before we were due to because of family issues and whilst we were packing away another family were shown to our emptying pitch,
All in all not a bad park but could do with some segregation and separate pitches rather than a 'pitch where you can' type attitude.

Just returned from a lovely weekend here, yes the weather was great so that was a good starting point but we really enjoyed staying here.
On arrival we reported to reception and were directed to waiting point, warden came out of reception and advised us to follow him. We drove around the site all the way to the far end by the airfield. Advised to park-up and shown where to pitch and connect to EHU (and that our friends could pitch next to us but ensure we left 6m gap between tents).
The pitch was large and grassy, recently mown. We pitched with shelter from conifers which were surrounding an adjacent toilet cabin (locked). Site quiet on the friday night but few more arribed for saturday.
We weren't shown any toilets/showers or anything but don't really see the need, it was quite obvious where they were. When we visited they were basic but clean - what more do you need!. There were queues for showers at peak times but you get that anywhere.
On site bar and shop very reasonable, breakfast lovely on on site cafe. Nice chippy at end of road.
We'll be returning again in the future

THE best site in Skegness by far. The pitches are excellent, the grounds very well maintained with multiple/spotlessly clean toilet/shower blocks. The site has a small shop and a great pub. Ingoldmells and Skegness are both stones throw away but this site has a more upmarket feel about it (it even has its own airfield) We have visited the site many times now and will continue to return. For people that don't want the tacky seaside feel of ingoldmells or Skegness you can use this site as a base to explore the Gibraltar point nature reserve

Just back from a 3 night break here and for £67-50 with EHU I was pleasantly surprised.
The showerblock/toilets were spotless and well maintained, plenty of hot water and no matter what time I went there was no waiting.
There is a small shop on site selling the usual provisions, bread, milk, etc, a coffee shop that does delicious tea and scones. Mmmm scones. Ahem, and a bar called 'The Barn Inn' which I was surprised at as it only charges £2-30 a pint, I am used to paying in excess of £3.
The water-ski lake is also worth a visit, my son had a go and at £14 I thought it was a bit steep, but that includes all the equipment and tuition and it really made his holiday as he has talked of nothing else since we got back.
I would recommend this place to anyone and yes there are 1 or 2 'issues' like the wind, the site is very open and exposed and the camping pitches are along way from the play park.
May I just add that the staff were helpful in the reception and told me about lots of different things about the area and even where the cheapest places to park when visiting fantasy Island, skegness and Mablethorpe.

Went for a weekend to the park.
Pitches are very spacious. Shown to Pitch by warden and assisted to park the caravan. Plenty of room for caravan and awning.
Washroom/toilets in the reception area were clean. There were two showers in that unit but its just a shower unit without seating area so you could get you things wet/be difficult to sort yourself out.
There are other blocks around but not sure what they were like.
There is a lovely park for the children to play in with swings, climbers, slides, see saw with the soft play floor. Very nice it is and next door is the bar so you can sit in or outside while the children play. They also served food but didn't have any. Sunday lunch was around £5. 95.
It is a lovely park with loads of space. We walked up to a big mound in the park where you can see for miles around. Next to the mound is a small aerodrome. We were lucky enough to see two biplanes take off. Also saw a helicopter take off and it flew right over us.
Butlins is only up the road a short walk so ideal for a day out if you want. Ingoldmells is within walking distance too (well we don't mind walking so a mile or two is nothing to us). Eastgate market and Fantasy Island all situated in Ingoldmells along with various pubs, arcades, entertainment centres etc. Fish and chip shop located about 500mt from park entrance at the top of the road, but didn't try as felt they were too expensive.
I would definitely return without hesitation. If you are happy to make your own entertainment then this park is for you.

Went here for the Royal Wedding Bank Holiday.
Site was busy, was led to the end of the park and told to pitch either on the right or on the left. We were left to it and had to find toilets, shower block and washing up ourselves. High winds were forecast so we tried to pitch as near to some trees as we could.
Plenty of room round pitches as no one would pitch in the middle, we were right at the very back of the site near the airfield, so experienced some noise.
Wont be going back, too far away from the pub, play park etc. Staff not very helpful. We went to reception to ask where we freeze our packs to be told there wasn't anywhere! They advised us to buy bags of ice.
At £19.50 per night (non EHU) don't think this site is worth it.

Had 3 nights here.
Huge site. Had to wait until we were 'taken' to our pitch by jeep and driver, he was busy chatting to his colleagues for 10 mins.
Left to it when shown the pitch. Had to find our way round for water etc. Not very easy to find when the light is fading and it's almost dark. Ended up walking what seemed like miles to get the water. A bit of a pointer would have been nice from the staff. Nothing.
Has a play park next to the bar/club house area, which was nice. Ment the kids could play while we had a quick drink.
Site is in the middle of lots of other sites, butlins and Ingolmells are not far.
Toilet block was clean but washing facilities are not adequate as you have nowhere to drain pots ( Only to put them on the floor).
Would not return here, think there as better in the area.

Just come back from 4 nights camping over the bank holiday. The site was very full. Very good value for money only 74 pounds for 5 of us. The pub on site the Barn Inn did excellent food and always had entertainment for the kids.Local shop for food and site has a few camping supplies and gas canisters etc. Shower and toilet blocks kept clean considering how busy it was, there was sometimes a queue but that was to be expected. Site nice and clean and very well maintained. Always hot water for washing up. Close to butlins and skegness beach although the site had fishing lake and waterskiing. The staff very friendly and helpful. Have already booked for May and July. Also big pitches so lots of privacy.
