Beautiful site, immaculately maintained, friendly and helpful owner.
Great for dog-walking either from the site, or in National Park very close by.
Comprehensive local shop at garage approx. 1/4 mile away.

It very much depends what you require from a caravan park, but if it’s a very welcoming, friendly, clean, beautifully maintained site set out to perfection in a fabulous location offering peace and tranquillity then look no further.

As mentioned by others, this is a well maintained site with perfectly mown grass, hedges, flowers and trees in farmland. It's quiet and calm with walks from the site. Hard standing pitches mainly with a good size grass area and spaced out so there's some sense of privacy.
Facilities currently closed due to Covid-19 but recycling well organised and elsan point etc kept clean. The manager is on top of things and helpful. It would be hard to fault Low Hedgeley in any way, all very nice. £16 a night is good value for this standard of site. Not sure if it's in either club any more?
There is no pub in Powburn now so your nearest one is probably in Eglingham, a few miles drive. The Tankerville Arms is a characterful pub with a beer garden and decent food. There is a petrol station with Londis shop near the site for other stuff. Lots of lovely countryside and beaches not far away and some nice little towns like Wooler, Rothbury, Alnwick.
There were not many kids staying when we were there and there's no playground etc so not sure how child friendly it is unless they're outdoorsy. It had the feel of an adult only site - very civilised!

Well we should keep this one quiet but think everyone deserves a visit to this fantastic site, as soon as you reach the Farm it's well kept buildings and gardens give you a clue to the standard of the park.
The pitches are gravel and a good size with your own water point. The WC was always clean and just next to it was the bin area and Elsan point discretely hidden by bushes.
Free wifi was also available ! The owner was quite a character and very laid back and also gave us good information on where to visit.
Alnmouth was great and only 1/2 an hour away. Not really got any negatives apart from the weather but happy just to sit in the van and enjoy the views.
This site is Superb !

We stayed at Low Hedgeley Farm for 5 nights in August 2018.
The site is very well kept and the grass would do Lords or the Oval proud! I felt guilty when having to track across the corner of our hardstanding pitch to exit!
The main area is all hardstanding with good access to power & water. There is also a grassed area beyond the main area accessed through a gateway at the top of the site. I’m not sure that this site is still in the Caravan & Motorhome Club Certificated Location scheme as, whilst it appears in the 2017/18 handbook [1229], it is no longer shown on their website. There appears to currently be 10 pitches. Having said that, it never felt crowded. There is also an overnight area by the site entrance for those just passing through.
As others have said Harry, the owner, is always happy to chat & give advice. There are a couple of local walks taking in the disused railway line & the banks of the River Breamish. We did take the van off site twice to visit Linhope Spout & climb Windy Gyle.
There is a supermarket/petrol station on the A697 towards Powburn – probably a 20 minute walk but on the main road, so care needs to be taken
Unfortunately, at the time of our visit, the pub in Powburn was closed.
The site fee of £15 per night was just about right although it would have been nice to have seen some hot water plumbing to the handbasin in the WC!
This is a site that we will probably return to when heading north from Norfolk as it is an ideal overnight stop off point for any Scottish trips.

The site is very well kept and clean, with pitches that are large and well spaced out. There is a large clean toilet but no shower. It is in an ideal location for cycling and walking, but only just off a main road so access is easy.
Good dog walks, but some fields do have sheep and cattle. There is no facilities for children which suits us!
We would recommend and will visit again.

This is a lovely small site. Well laid out with two areas separated by a tall hedge. The facilities are just right with a water point beside each pitch and the WC is always nicely cleaned. Harry is a great character and very helpful. We walked and cycled straight from the park and enjoyed all the routes.
If you are looking for a small, quiet site that is perfectly maintained this is the one to go for. Very reasonable price also. We will certainly be back.
By the way it took us 17 minutes to drive from Alnwick in our motorhome.
