Every thing that's been said is true, but it's worth adding there's really excellent walking in wonderful Dorset countryside both north and south of the A35.
For instance, into Bridport via the pretty village of Symondsbury and impressive views from the top of Allington Hill. Or across fields to West Bay, then along a prime Coast Path and back via Eype Down.
But the traffic noise! We booked for two nights hoping to stay longer, but unfortunately all the pitches are lined up to be as near as possible to the busy A35. We found the noise to be intolerable any longer.
That was in winter in a panel van conversion with all doors and windows closed. Anyone in a tent or awning, or wanting to sit outside would surely find it unbearable from the start.

Love this site. Lovely set up, easy to book, great communication from owners.
Facilities really clean, water and electric on flat large gravel pitches with a superb view of Colmers Hill across the fields.
Short walk to a great local pub serving delicious food and local ales. A short drive and reasonable walk in to Bridport.
Great location for the Jurassic coast, West Bay, Lyme Regis and Dorsets beaches.
Lovely site, would definitely recommend and return.

This site has 5 pitches all with their own water and hook up. The shower and toilets were clean and spacious, but there is currently only one shower and this meant a wait for it to be free on both the mornings we were there. You need 20p to activate the shower, but you then get 6 minutes of hot water.
The site is near a main road and traffic noise could be heard, both during the day and at night.
The owners were friendly and helpful and came both days to clean the facilities.

Easy to fine, very easy and convenient access. Spacious, hard standing with electric and water points on each pitch. Lovely shower and toilet facilities. Wonderful views of the Dorset countryside. Conveniently located to the Jurassic coast with a 5 min drive away. Walking distance to the town of Bridport. The local bus service stops a short distance from the site. A short walk to the local village pub. Dog friendly. Warm and friendly welcome

Stayed at this new CCC adult only Certificated Site while touring the area. The owner met us on site and was very helpful. All pitches have a hard stand and grass area with individual EHU and water tap.
Shower / toilet / washroom was modern, spacious and clean, requiring 20 pence to activate the electric shower. Access into the site is easy, just off the main road. As the site is close to the A35, road noise is noticeable in the day but acceptable at night.
Very suitable for overnight stopover or longer stay. Bridport is just 2 miles to the East with ample shops etc. The coast some 5 miles South with lovely beaches.
