This is a real gem of a campsite. It is in a beautiful location and the facilities are always kept lovely and clean.
The pitches are all generously sized and flat. The river that flows through the site is superb for paddling, swimming, or as I did, relax beside with an early morning cup of tea.
Kate and her husband make wonderful hosts, and offer the finishing touches, like an early evening ice cream bike and freshly baked croissants every morning.
I shall definitely be returning next summer.

Wow this was a lovely campsite. Lovely secluded area in the Peak District. We chose this campsite as it was a 20 minute drive to Alton Towers which we were doing for 2 days on a UK trip with 2 teenage children.
The site offers lovely flat pitches beside a river which you can swim in (very cold but fun).
They offer a Friday night pizza night which we missed due to visiting friends. On Saturday they have a cinema night on a big screen at a cost of £2 per headphone, which we took advantage of as it was raining and we can sit under the large tepee. We watched Paddington 2 which we all enjoyed lots of laughter.
The shower & toilet blocks are in shepherds huts which are lovely clean and hot. The washing up area is lovely & clean with Eco washing up liquid provided only down side no hot water so had too boil kettle first not a big problem.
Lovely little shop on site with fresh bread & croissants baked in the morning. Also handy for when all the pubs are fully booked and you have no food in your tent. They came to our rescue with pasta & sauce and frozen burgers.
Also like to say a big thank you to Kate & James for our stay they are very helpful and go above & beyond. Great little fire sacks with a little kindling & matches to get you started in your firepits.
Freezer on site for your blocks along with theirs that you can loan whilst yours are freezing.
All I can say I cant wait to return and spend a little more time at this site, highly recommend for any family.

Just spent the past weekend at Ecton Bridge campsite and it was excellent. The site is sat next to a gorgeous river (in which you can swim/paddle in) and the site is really well laid out with great size pitches and its well looked after.
The toilet, shower and sink blocks are fab and are always kept clean. The hosts were really welcoming and always ensured that you were looked after, be it grabbing some bits from their well stock shop to checking to ensure you're simply enjoying you stay.
The pizza night is excellent, well priced and tasted great. We really enjoyed the facilities (they also have a ping pong table and a small rounders court).
Gutted we found this place just as its 'season' ends, however we'll definitely be back next year, thank you K & Co, you have a great site and your hosting was top notch!

Just came back from this amazing campsite. What an stunning location! The pitches are flat and generously sized and there is a beautiful river that snakes round the campsite.
The river has safe, shallow areas ideal for little ones to play in it safely. For the older children and adults, further along the site is an area just for swimming.
The owners who are really friendly and passionate about their site, have thought of everything. They have a pizza oven which they provide pizzas on a Friday and they have a massive canopy where they play a film on Saturdays for the little ones with Bluetooth headphones.
Perfect for a peaceful campsite in the early evening and a genius idea to keep the kids entertained so you can relax.
The bathrooms are spotless with instant hot water and lovely spacious free showers. They even provide hand soap which is eco friendly too and smells lovely.
It’s the finishing touches that makes this campsite stand out from the rest with flowers by the washing up area and ice cream delivery to each tent. You can order bread and croissants for the morning and a few essentials in the shop including homemade lemonade and ginger beer.
We have been camping for many years and this has to be one of our favourite sites. Great access to some lovely walks too in the beautiful Peak District scenery.
We’ll definitely be back.

Just back from a fantastic holiday at Ecton Bridge. Flat, beautifully kept small family campsite.
Clean toilets and showers with plentiful free hot water. Every small detail thought of - fresh flowers, tasty pizza and family outdoor cinema.
Positive, passionate owners who bake a mean warm croissant for breakfast and deliver delicious local ice cream to your tent every evening. They go the extra mile to ensure a comfortable stay.
Plus campfires positively encouraged.
We'll definitely be back!

Wow! What an amazing site.
The location is stunning with lovely flat ground and a stream you can play and swim in. Great starting place for heading out on walks also.
No signal at all though in the valley!
The facilities were excellent - warm showers and new toilets.
The only down side is no hot water for washing pots (there are sinks but it’s cold water)
There is a freezer for ice packs etc so that’s a bonus and fire pits are provided.
Friday night is pizza night where you can order a pizza and they will cook it however we took BBQ for first night and wished they did the pizzas other nights too. Maybe something they might do in the future?!
There was an ice cream bike on Saturday late afternoon but it was at a funny time just before tea so I feel not many used it as they were about to eat … perhaps later in the evening Would have been better.
They did do an outdoor family film night on Saturday night too which my boys absolutely loved!
The owners are absolutely lovely to talk to and have done an outstanding job. We will be back very soon!
